I went to Guardians yesterday. I enjoyed it, but I think they went a little over the top with the humor. Did Drax have more than one line that wasn't a joke?

On a side note, I'd love to know how much they payed Vin Diesel for these two movies.

A lot.

But not as much as he makes from his producing fees on the Fast and Furious franchise.

I understand the producing part since he actually has to do something on those movies. This one has to be the cushiest voice acting gig of all time. I hope Cooper makes more from these movies than he does. It only seems fair.

I haven't read their deals (obviously) but from my understanding they're both paid primarily in back end points on GotG. I would doubt either got their standard quote for the VO work on the film (I think cooper's quote is 10-12m and I have no idea what VD's is but I'd guess it's around there).

GotG #2 was very good. Probably the last movie I saw in a theater was the first one. I'd say that the Captain America and GotG are more entertaining than the other ones. I have no idea how they are going to cram the Guardians and the Avengers into one movie. It'll be like a 1970s disaster movie.

I won't see Alien:Covenant because at its core, it boils down to just more dumb people visiting a strange planet they shouldn't without ever thinking "oh, there might be some hostile **** there, perhaps we should pack LOTS and LOTS of guns, just in case."

Yeah, they went a bit overboard with the comedy, but it was still very good, and there were some very funny scenes.

Loved the set up for the next adventure.

"Avengers: Infinity War" will be cinematic insanity.

More speculation than spoiler, but I'll play it safe:

I never would have thought it about a year ago, but suddenly Nebula looks to have a big role in all of that.

The trailer ruined a few scenes in the GOTGv2 movie. I'm going to try to avoid watching trailers in the future.

It was still good. I liked it better than the 1st one. They went overboard with the 80's music.

You had to know they were going to. I know many people who loved the soundtrack from the first movie.

It makes sense for them to be playing that music, because that's the music that Star-Lord is familiar with.
