Kraft is making $ from casino gambling & sports betting

As with all of its policies that aren’t collectively bargained, the NFL gives Goodell plenty of wiggle room on gambling connections. It concludes by stating that “apparent or alleged violations of this NFL Gambling Policy ... will continue to be decided by the Commissioner or his designee on a case-by-case basis.”

That Goodell apparently gave and is still giving Kraft a pass to sit on the board of an outfit with ownership in multiple sportsbooks and casinos—all while sticking a hard-line public stance against legalized betting—astonished longtime observers of league business.

No matter how much I hate Kraft and anticipate that he and his cheating franchise will one day meet their maker, this article is bull ****

I haven't read the article but based on your comment I can tell that you don't hate Kraft enough. Start hating him more and re-read the article please.

If Kraft owns 267k of stock in AGM, then that's about a $7M investment. If he wasn't on their board I'm not even sure that investment would register on his radar. That's what? One or two tenths of a percentage of his net worth? Then factor in that the casinos are a very small portion of APM's investment portfolio and there is (sadly) no story. Two side notes: I've heard of Apollo before and their private equity division is very well thought of. Too bad he got fired because the writer of that piece definitely belongs at the NY Post.

Man I hate Kraft and want to trash him..... But this article (and writer) are garbage disposal sledge.

Five seconds into this, you realize the obvious angry bias and propoganda style rhetoric.

And his reasons for being fired... Holy crap read that tweet. And people say to me "hey Kev, why don't you use social media?"

Just skimming the article, and considering the source. I would guess if there is even a hint of truth this would be a huge deal in the media. Even with the author laying out some of his stock holdings and investments I can't imagine even a biased NFL commissioner

would allow this. But what do I know it's Robert Kraft***. I wonder if Jerry J. has any skin in this game?

Amazing some people still just cannot comprehend what Goodell's job is and who he works for.

This article is based on a misunderstanding of a rule that the NFL, in this article, clarified for this goofball, yet he still runs with the error. Deadspin has long been circling the toilet.

Fail.

Dude. Your defense of Kraft/Pats on any topic can go unwritten at this point. We already know.

Their PE division is doing fine. As with the other firms with AuM above $10 bn and multiple products, IRRs and MoCs have gone down over time. Some real estate funds from the mid-2000s were disastrous, but LPsare more than happy to give Apollo checks, some non-discretionary, every year.
