Swampiest committee on the Hill trying to get out in front of the private intelligence firm side of this saga.

First time Black Cube has been mentioned in Congress...

The IC has privatized in many ways, separating itself from government oversight by forming these sorts of transnational intelligence firms which do... exactly what state actors do, only without the burden of having to abide by the norms and laws which govern official agencies. Lots to say on this topic, considering it's where I stumbled into the whole Russia hoax.

A waste of oxygen. Immature beyond his years.

Her ex was a judge.  That could be the reason everything was sealed up tight as soon as her identity was known. (Not saying this article isn't true, but because of who she was and who her ex husband is, investigators may have decided to tread lightly.)

Officials said Wednesday that because of the condition of the body, they were unable to immediately confirm its identity. State police didn't say when Collins-Smith died
.

According to property records, Collins-Smith's home is also owned by her ex-husband, Philip Smith, a retired judge whose district covered Randolph County.

The couple separated in 2016 and finalized their divorce last year, according to court records.

Divorce documents showed disputes over a large sum of money and property the couple owned, including their home and a hotel.

They married in 1995 and have two adult children.

On Wednesday, Circuit Judge Harold Erwin signed a gag order sealing the release of information in the investigation, including law enforcement and medical reports.
