(Not really the perfect thread for this... but)

Lots of people trying to dunk on this tweet -- not realizing that getting to Mars (sustainably) requires a permanent way station on the moon or in its orbit.

Everyone I've seen saying "OMG, what an idiot!" about this is basically confirming their illiteracy.

I've said it before and I will say it again... Mueller is a piece of *****.  Yeah, yeah, Weissmann, but Mueller allowed it.

Mueller in typical Washington fashion filled out the special counsel's staff with a bunch of crony beltway creeps.  It's such a stark example of how Washington operates in a heavily insulated bubble.

Can confirm the premise of this:

Crazy end to the week between this matter, the Mexico deal, the string of suicides of state officials and NYPD officers. Lots going on behind the scenes.

People have been wondering who is behind the caravans for a while now.  Do you think this "church" is the front man, the money, or in bed with the cartels (so both)?

Both for sure. I'm 99% certain there are more churches/charitable groups in SoCal/AZ/NM which are serving in the same capacity. It's something I heard a lot of complaints about last year while I was spending time with border patrol and ICE officers. It's a game of whack-a-mole with these sorts of outfits.

The church/preacher in question above definitely played a financial role -- and as stated above, helped with "voter registration" in both AZ and Los Angeles County. LAPD people I was interviewing at the time told me they had wanted to bring charges against "a certain minister" for over two years but hadn't been able to make a case (resistance from higher up I was told). This guy was mentioned to me more than once as being "vile". I interviewed four victims of trafficking who were sponsored by his church, while they didn't say anything about the preacher specifically, they did paint a vivid (and horrific) story about the coyotes group his church was funding/using to "help" get people across. The coyotes had a vetting process for "their boss" (never specified names) -- but the women I interviewed were too old (17, 18, 22, 22 respectively) for his tastes, which meant the coyotes got to have them instead. The coyotes were contractors whom the CBP presume to be cartel tied.

I don't know when they started building the case that got him indicted, but three or four months ago I was told by the same LAPD officers (while meeting on something else entirely) that the wheels were finally moving on the "church traffickers" (which is how they phrased it). They couldn't/wouldn't share anything more then when this news broke this week I got a lot of happy texts with smiling emojis.

For what it's worth (and I haven't been all the way through these yet), these seem to be an interesting interviews concerning AK Senator Linda Collins-Smith, who was apparently due to testify to a grand jury recently concerning the Clinton's. There may be some conspiracy stuff, so don the foil hats, if needed.

This old article on that peach of guy, Tony Rodham, delve into Haiti, a DHS scandal,  a consultant to the DNC, etc.  The NYT article also goes into those shady dealings.  Just reading some of this that guy must have spent a bazillion dollars in his lifetime - all "earned" through ummm "connections".

As much fun as it is to pretend it's all interconnected within a Clinton criminal empire...this is a bitter divorce/custody situation that ended in a murder-suicide - common enough that we've had it happen to people on this board.

It's particularly odious to blame this on Clinton.

No one (other than the usual social media stuff) is blaming Clinton, and I'm certainly not drawing conclusions other than last week was a very odd cluster of (largely) violent deaths. Could all be coincidence. Could be happenstance. But it's still an odd cluster, and the connections between them and other events ongoing is noteworthy.

Two state senators, a federal official, three high ranking police officials, and Hillary's (most compromised) brother -- all within days of one another -- and all (but one whom I haven't dug into to know either way) worked on or were working on or involved with issues revolving around trafficking.

It's not sinister necessarily. It's just odd -- even if it's only a statistical blip.

The fact of the matter is no investigation is far along in its reach never mind completed to this point in time.  Could be a self contained sad incident or part of a larger malevolent scheme.  Don't know either way but nothing is going to stop me for now from looking at either scenario.  Paging Dr Quincy.

More of his interview:

"My illegitimate FISA warrant". If he's talking about it like this now, things are gonna get interesting.

LOL He's smacking around the Mueller report.  Mueller report was "spun for the ridiculous concept of impeachment". "Fake Mueller report"

And he is speaking of his death threats because of what happened to him.

A British think-tank has issued a 132 page report advocating for not prosecuting pedophiles for viewing child pornography and abuse videos online

Quote

The group believes that there are just too many sexual offenders for the courts to keep up, so they are advocating for having first time offenders simply take classes for “education, prevention and effective rehabilitation.” The workshops would be five sessions, up to 90 minutes each, over four months — and one follow-up session after eight months. They referred to this plan as a “deferred prosecution scheme.”

Yep, I'm sure that's the reason.
