So, in 2 seconds or less, a coach in the booth can relay a message about open receivers to Brady's helmet so he can complete a pass to this receiver? In 2 seconds?

And how do they do this on the road?

Fair enough.

Just take his helmet at the start of one game, and give him another.

He's/team a repeat offender, it warrants it.

What would be the point? you've just conceded the weakness in your argument.

He is like Manning. They have seen every defense and know how to exploit it.

Saying the guy with the fastest snap to release time has time to wait for some dude in a booth to tell him who is open for him is what crazy people say when they want magical thinking to explain away their unfortunate lot in life.

I think Mr.Weo & Pneumonic are co-site owners of yourteamcheats.com...

LMAO!

They peer review each in more ways then you want to know!

A helmet is a helmet right... As long as it fits the same way.

It can't hurt.

He's like a convicted "felon of the game"... Change helmets mid game. He was caught once tampering with the footballs... You think he stops there?

Leave no stone unturned. He warrants no respect and privilege being convicted w/his team.

Two Giants SB wins show the proof when you tighten security against the Cheatriots.

So even though you concede that there is nothing unusual with his helmet, at least on the road...you would want him to wear another one? Even though you acknowledge that the "guy calling in the the open receiver after the snap' theory makes little sense?

Ok....

There are things unusual... It was missing a sticker. Is that like Breaking the seal on your electrical panel.

Maybe when they tampered with his helmet, they forgot to put sticker on.

That sticker may seem innocuous... But the League can use them like seals of authentication. Tamper with a helmet in any way... Ie: "broken seal" and we are checking things out!

Maybe... They couldn't put sticker back on seeing how it got wrecked?

Would League cover for him and team again? Because schitstorm that would ensue right before opening day?

Or because they've been cheating at least twice. Then there are things like Rodney Harrison getting caught using HGH, but only because he was dumb enough to use his own name and address--on an incarnation of that team where old vets like he, Antowain Smith, Seau, etc. seemed to go and miraculously regain a step.

Personally, I think it's a bit of "all the above"--they cheat wherever and however they can. You have an owner, coach and star who are sociopathic about it.

I'm very much anti Patriot, but we're all fooling ourselves if we don't think HGH use is rampant throughout the league on all teams.

If I actually let my mind go to that place, the next thing I have to ask, is if you did do something that provided a substantial advantage how the heck could you keep it contained over all this time?

I'm really not of any opinion on it either way. BB could be the best HC of all time and his genius transcends anything coaches can even take with them. Maybe that is the answer. Seems just as plausible as a team keeping a secret as big as something like this for the better part of the decade. If you do believe it's foul play, I would be curious as to what you think it is and how it could be contained this long?

I still maintain this is the secret (warning: NSFW and possibly for stomach). I think from Day 1 the Patriots stress, Get in the playbook, Learn your job, Do your job.

Then I think Belichick takes the newbies by the scruff of the neck, escorts them back to that tub by the nape of the neck and tells them "Screw up, and you're going in. And under."

I realize that, just saying we can't hold HGH against them whatsoever. Only the eavesdropping, and other covert intel.

Fair enough. But that is all people are saying. It is the apolgists like WEO & Pneumonia that change the subject and drag everybody through the muck because it deflects their greater guilt.

This sums it up pretty well, i agree. I dont think the qb is quite plug and play though. The qb needs to be big and have a decent arm... but more importantly needs to have the drive and work ethic. Jp losman would never work out there.

Very true, I would ad the QB has to be able to make quick reads of the defense as 80% of the plays the ball is out within 2 - 3 seconds.

I realize that, just saying we can't hold HGH against them whatsoever. Only the eavesdropping, and other covert intel.

Eavesdropping? You mean the paranoid league which can never find anything? Sort of like the headset crap, which is controlled by the league and set up by the league... But sadly people say "Pats are cheating" sigh

Good post. Kind of like those around here always crowing about all the talent we have on the roster and the only change needed is the coach. Far easier to swallow then the reality that this is a dumpster fire from top of the organizaion right on down and a complete reboot is in order.

You do know the LEAGUE shuts down communication between the sideline and QB right? You do know THEY have full control over the communication right?

Read the article in the Buffalo News today about the talent we could of drafted at receiver instead of trading up for Watkins. It is probably going to go down as the best receiving class in the history of the NFL & we trade a king's ransom to move up 4 spots to get Sammy. Honestly that move alone should get Whaley fired.

IMO no one would be complaining if 2 things had happened:

1. Watkins wasn't so injury prone. (Which he wasn't in college so Whaley had no way knowing this IMO)

2. You had a QB who can get him the football.

LOL changing the subject? You are rambling on about changing helmet stickers.

Rant on....it never ends.

There is 'cheating' going on to a point. They know what they can get away with and do. Been going on in all sports forever. Other teams need to get with the times IMO.

Overall it is just an organizational commitment to win and gear everything towards winning. A close play and I'm sure there are people who have a job to quickly review the play and relay to Belichick whether or not the call is reversible. Belichick knows a 'chart' and wont challenge when it is silly (like a 4 yard gain on 2nd down). Here, we have Rex Ryan craning his neck looking at the jumbotron while players are lobbying in his ear.

I believe they review everything to make sure the odds in every situation are in their favor, and that includes some things that are against the rules. It also includes bending the rules with some clock play and formations (innovation).

They have a culture and players who put in the work. Talent from one team to the next isn't that different. It is all preparation.

It also seems like they do not tolerate self-imposed mistakes like taunting penalties and celebrations.

Its a tight ship too. The fact that a player punched Revis out in a practice and nobody hears a peep for almost 2 years is very impressive. Here, Rappaport would be tweeting about it before Revis' head hit the ground.

I desperately want our owner to emulate that

No BB will not tolerate stupid penalties. The Pats had A safety, whose name escapes me, who made it to the pro bowl that year BUT since he had like 5 leading with the helmet penalties he did not make the team the next year. Hell he traded Randy Moss back to the Vikings for draft position lol

You make a lot of great points. As one of the older folks here who had season tickets in the 90's, the Bills had that same culture. The front office had stability and continuity, the coaching staff knew how to best utilize each player, and they were able to develop a system that was sustainable. Buffalo had quite a bit of turnover in linebacking and special teams during that time and the front office and coaching staff were able to develop players to excel within the concept.

I think the last 16 years is proof of how elusive a "winning formula" can be to build.
