Patriots Real or Not

Let me ask you something. You come onto this board and undermine what at the time were facts presented on the topic being discussed. Why is it you're not providing any facts of your own that actually counter any of the ideas or thoughts or facts being presented? Your responses are anecdotal at best and provide no facts or information to support your position.

What facts have been presented? A 10 year old article with an UNNAMED Source? I mean we know how accurate Mortensen is with his unnamed sources after all.. So as the accuser YOU are to provide evidence of wrong doing, which has not been provided at all an unnamed source from a reporter who has already been proven to have gotten bad information before from "unnamed" sources is hardly proof.

Not singling you out, but I have a question. Do we have anything to back this up? I looked and couldn't find anything.

NFL came out after last years Pats v Steelers game saying they were in control over the headset and monitoring signals into he headset.

see, once again you deflect. If you're so certain there is nothing to show any type of cheating being discussed, show it. This isn't a court of law so the burden isn't on anyone. if you have facts to prove otherwise, provide them

I'm basing it on Flutie's statements that he heard Pats coaches in Brady's helmet after the NFL cutoff. It happened when he inadvertently picked up Brady's helmet.

I have never heard Flutie say that it read anything about it.

How do you Prove a lie is a lie? You can't Prove Somethibg isn't happening. By far the most ridiculous argument I have ever had with any fan base

So again, why are you here? You add nothing insightful to this board, it's a pathetic effort by someone who wants to come here and pat himself on the back because his team is better than ours. It's really sad.

Weird I rarely bring up my team, except when needing an example of defending them from stupid attacks. So it's obvious your basing your opinion on this one thread.. Which has really been derailed..

defending with what? nothing but your opinion. You're not defending when you have no facts to back up anything you're saying.

Neither does the person making the accusations! FACT: NFL stated they control the headsets inside the QB helmet.. Stated after Pats v Steelers game when their idiot coach tried to start something... LOOK IT UP!

Was that before or after the NFL was made aware of the Pats' radio communication techniques?

Nobody is perfect, but they've had a lot more hits than misses.

oh hell no they haven't. They are among the worst drafting teams in the league.

They survive finding veterans cheap and using them. Allan branch, chandler Jones, martelus Bennett, lagarrret blount...

Go look at their drafts. They're horrible.

You do know the LEAGUE shuts down communication between the sideline and QB right? You do know THEY have full control over the communication right?

go read Doug fluties comments on this. And flutie loves the pats

They keep communication during games and its been said by more than one player.

Ok I am going stop before I say something that will get me in trouble. But your proof is Mortenson and an OLD 2007 article. I can handle Spygate crap, and even Deflategate (to a point) but this!! COME ON MAN!!

as captain hindsight pointed out they monitor inflation. They monitor uniforms. They monitor a lot.

What also do you say about Ross Tucker, among others, saying they practice IR'd and extra players? They don't use names on jerseys to help hide this.

The patriots are proven cheaters. The falcons cheated too, right? And the bills had an air horn going off? I literally got punched in the face telling some random that the patriots cheat constantly.

I am not going to argue with you, it's obvious you have your own set of "facts" that no matter how many times your proven wrong you will stick to. So go keep believing your silly lies because if you had ANY clue you would know how absurd your accusation is. Hint: Jimmy G was averaging less than 2 seconds before he grew the ball.. NO ONE CAN RELAY WHAT THEY SEE THAT WUICK. Brady averages roughly about 2-3 seconds but yes instead of being able read a D it's some person way up in the box seats radioing down in less than 3 seconds who to throw to.. DUMBEST CONSPIRACY EVER!

the fact was the balls were under inflated and the patriots were not willing to provide reasonable access to the information nor players.

Your whole team is cheating scum. But its OK. They win.

why do they patriots get away with paying a tom Brady owned company? What is the coincidence he took a major pay cut the same year he signed his company up with the pats. The health guru who believes crystals heal people, etc...

Its sad when opposing teams know more about your own team. This is true with 99% of pats* fans.

And they can't argue anything reasonable against it and they never admit that the patriots cheated.

when he talks football outside of the pats cheating he talks good football, just if ya didn't know.

Start with the last one (good post by the way) there is NO RULE against the Patriots hiring a company that Brady owns. I knew about it but since there is no infraction to speak of ..as for the injured and extra players, never heard it even mentioned up here even once.

As for Deflategate, I think we both can agree that horse been beaten to death, I will not convince you nor will you convince me.. I admitted to Spygate as fact. And I have never ever once brought up other teams cheating.

if delfategate was true. If anyone in the organization deflated footballs... is that cheating?

You spend all day at work discussing conspiracy theories in football?! Wow that's an odd job. I also never asked you to explain anything, just saying relying on an article almost 10 years old and nothing ever came of it is rather well lame. But go ahead believe silly conspiracies theory.

Why do you think "nothing has ever come of it"? Is it really so hard to consider that an entity as profitable as the NFL would prefer to destroy evidence of cheating (which they did), in order to preserve the legitimacy of their product, rather than expose the truth and open themselves up to potential millions in losses in lawsuits and more importantly backlash?

Just a couple quick points:

1. FWIW, I recall th Flutie story making news at the time of Spygate--he said iit once to a radio call-in show in a tone that showed he thought it was funny, but didn't realize how serious it was. Seems like somebody may have then spoken to him about it, as he clammed up fast on it thereafter; and

2. Alex G., Brady's health guru and best friend, was enjoined by the FTC from peddling alleged cancer cures in the early 'aughts. That should tell you all you need to know about him.

So, in 2 seconds or less, a coach in the booth can relay a message about open receivers to Brady's helmet so he can complete a pass to this receiver? In 2 seconds?

And how do they do this on the road?

You're missing the point.

Take a look at Bills offensive play #1 from the Baltimore game.

An offensive coordinator-type mind up in a box with an eagle's view could have seen the field and told Tyrod, pre-snap, that he is throwing to either Woods or Sammy. I.E., forget the right side of the field, forget other other options...the desirable play is to throw to one of those 2.

Tyrod never figured that out on his own on that play.

Also, the whole system can backfire plenty of times and still be incredibly effective.

You don't need to alter the outcome of every play; you just need to skew the odds of a favorable outcome enough that over the course of a game, you have an advantage.

It's the same reason why the casino in Vegas will play blackjack with you all day long. The game is mathematically designed so that the house wins just enough over the long haul to always make money...the fact that the house will lose hands now and then or even go on a long run of losing is immaterial, long term.

Give me a system where my QB has a 10 or 15% better chance of success over the course of a season to complete passes and I have just gained a significant competitive advantage.

The accusation was never around calling out the open receiver, it was advising the QB (after the league-mandated time frame) the best place to go with the ball given what the defense is showing them. It's not just Tom reading the D in that case, it's Tom + Ernie + BB.

They used additional communications signals

While the Spygate investigation was ongoing during the second week of the 2007 season, Chris Mortensen of ESPN reported that “The league also was reviewing a possible violation into the number of radio frequencies the Patriots were using during Sunday’s game, sources said. The team did not have a satisfactory explanation when asked about possible irregularities in its communication setup during the game.”

Actually, that's exactly what more than one poster actually said.

So now you're saying that BB can read the D from the sideline in a way the QB of 15 years behind center can not?

I assume you were joking about Ernie Adams calling out the defenses for Brady..Good one!

You do remember they were stealing the defensive signals right?

Yawn: another strawman argument from the king himself. Keep deflecting it back on me - I started spy gate right? I wrote a book on it. I was the national media. I was Mangini. I was Goodell burying evidence. It's my job to provide you hard evidence (other than what is already out there for 10 years that any fool could see) or it never happened.
