Why make an acquisition that would be an embarrassment for the organization, when playoff hope is so dim?

Because you fight to the end.

From what I read there are not many prospects for QB in the draft. Why f-up just to get a lower seeding.

the analytics say 22% chance, which is lower than Houston when they have a tougher schedule ahead of them.

Win and the chances go up to 33, win again 45, win again 60, win again .... you get the picture.

He's barely playing in Seattle. It seems to be pretty much the end of the line for him. Whaley made the right move IMO.

Untrue, he's a third down specialist in Seattle and is being used to protect Wilson since they lost Unger and their O-line is a mess. He picked up the blitz on the TD pass that beat the Squeelers. He's only got 16 carries, but averaging 4.3, and 21 receptions averaging 8.1. Fred would have been a good insurance policy against the myriad of injuries we've had at RB this year, but we needed the titties for ST. Strictly as an RB, Boobie is not better than Fred.

It was the relative cost of Fred as the 3rd string RB that made him expendable. Still upset I see. Move on, he'll not be back.

So you're good with bringing in a boat person to play RB in the most important game of the season instead of the inactive earlier inthe season Fred? Got it.

That's the way it goes with injuries in the NFL. Sometimes you're lucky, sometimes not so much.
