Protocal69 Posted December 12, 2015 Share Posted December 12, 2015 (edited) For alot of people the money that they spend on DFS is less than going out to dinner or going to the bar to get wasted or spending "X" amount of money on the lastest gadget. My point is that everybody does something with their money that other people would not spend with theirs. I learned a long time ago to not judge what people spend their money on because at the end of the day its none of my business what they do with whats theirs and vise versa. By the way a couple of weeks ago I took $5.00 and made $2,700 on fanduel. When is the last time you gave $5.00 to a stripper and she gave you $2,700.00. Yeah my point exactly. BTW with that win up 2,600.00 since August when I started playing DFS and while I was down about $100.00 that money was spread out since August and based upon the games I play on Fanduel and Draftkings thats just about right Edited December 12, 2015 by Protocal69 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It seems like people have zero attention span now, and they need a constant source of adrenaline or else they will jump off a bridge Well that's a blanket statement if I ever saw one. I played, I enjoy it. Fun way to watch the games, keep up on what's happening in the rest of the league and try not to outthink yourself. It's fun. It's absolutely gambling. I never bet more than a dollar because I realized how foolish it was and easy to lose. But I'm hardly an adrenaline junkie. Read they are a lot of shrills who report such fake winnings just like some of the casinos have to generate excitement. I watch every possible game of football I can, winning made me feel that it was all worth it. Draft kings allows me to be more vested in every game and helps justify the amount of time I spend following the sport. From Draft Kings website All taxes associated with the receipt of any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. DraftKings is required to issue 1099 tax form(s) to any player who has a NET PROFIT (not solely what is withdrawn) in excess of $600 for the calendar year. This is calculated by the approximate value as ((prizes won - entry fees)+bonuses). Once you have exceeded the $600.00 Net Profit threshold for the calendar year, you will be prompted to complete an electronic W-9 via your My Account page for filing. Interesting that winnings are taxable even if not withdrawn in the calendar year. Until a minute ago I assumed winnings were treated like stocks and taxed when cashed out.
