I'm really surprised Mike Hoffman (OTT) didn't get picked. 19 goals and 35 points in 36 games.

The "one player per team" rule really waters down these rosters quickly. Now that they're doing this divisional format and an 11 player roster, that only allows for 3 additional players on the Atlantic division roster. Mix that with fan voting, the requirements for a specific number at each position within a division and there's essentially zero space left over.

I really wish leagues would finally start to phase out these games completely. They really have no point at all anymore now that we have such access to all teams in the league. Just go college style with an all pro/all american style list of players and be done with it. That will carry more weight in a contract negotiation than a meaningless list like this.

I forgot about the one player rule. Thanks for the breakdown.

@StillTalkinTV

Some radio news about the Bills and Sabres and change in management at local group of stations http://talkintv.buffalonews.com/2016/01/07/sabres-in-strong-negotiation-position-as-tv-radio-deals-near-end/

Despite their position near the bottom of the National Hockey League standings, the Buffalo Sabres’ TV ratings are up about 50 percent from a year ago at just about the perfect time.

The team’s TV contract with the Madison Square Network expires after the 2016-17 season and the strong ratings put the Sabres in a position of strength in negotiations that have already begun.

“We are encouraged by our preliminary renewal talks with MSG,” said Mark Preisler, the executive vice president for Media & Content for Pegula Sports and Entertainment. “We share the mutual goal of wanting to provide our fans more extensive Sabres and Bills coverage across WNY.”

What are your trade rumors and speculations? It seems traded are starting to happen and I imagine Murray has a few guys he wants to clear out and a few targets to bring in.

I can see him willing to trade off most any veteran on this team including gionta. I think he has his captain in waiting with RoR.
