@BuffaloSabres

Challenge from Lindy Ruff wipes out late #Sabres tally. Full story & recap: http://bufsabres.co/RbpWNx

#DALvsBUF

Our next game is Thursday at St. Louis. Good night, #Sabres fans.

God, I hate this review rule. 3 Sabres goals disallowed this season - none for the opposition.

I thought the team played hard tonight and deserved to have that game go to overtime.

@BillHoppeNHL

Yes, it keeps burning the #Sabres, but Dan Bylsma likes the coach's challenge/Story: http://www.buffalohockeybeat.com/late-overturned-goal-costs-sabres-in-loss-to-stars/

"It’s the right call." #Buffalo

I'm very disappointed the NHL decided they needed this offsides challenge rule. The quest to make every call "perfect" has resulted in a significant disruption of flow, and I have no idea why this idea took root. The officials on the ice are making the calls as they see them, and now we're seeing sometimes nearly a minute of play that is eventually "erased" because somebody went back and determined the puck was a split second late entering the zone.

I don't care if the calls are technically "right" -- and yes, I've seen my team burned by it three times this year -- but was this really ever that much of a problem before?

Except they didn't "get it right". Ennis was offsides but the clock read 1:30 when he crossed the line and the whistle should have blown. When they restarted play, it was with 1:23 left on the PP. It's ridiculously hypocritical that they screw up such basic things while trying to get something like offsides right.

@BuffNewsVogl

Evander Kane is ready to return to Sabres' lineup, and he's eager to skate on line with Jack Eichel, Sam Reinhart. http://sabres.buffalonews.com/2015/11/18/kane-ready-to-return-to-sabres-lineup/

Zemgus Girgensons will miss at least two more games, and his absence could have big impact on Sabres defensively. http://sabres.buffalonews.com/2015/11/18/absence-of-girgensons-could-hurt-sabres-defensively/

The new Offside review thing is typically stupid NHL. Suppose a skater is offsides and the ref misses it. Then, the opponent takes a delayed penalty and the skaters team pulls their goalie and scores. If the score is then disallowed via video replay, does the penalty still count? If not, why not? The game 'officially' had stopped.

Embarrassingly stupid.

If Dallas committed a penalty after the off sides, yes, Buffalo would have pulled the goalie for the extra attacker. If the Sabres scored, as long as the puck stayed in the zone, the result would still be no goal. Anything after the off side, i believe should not count. So probably no penalty, but I am not 100% sure. If that's the case, it does open up a big can of worms is there is a major penalty that causes injury during that time though...
