Oh, the horrors of noticing the SAME BEACH 50 years later has experienced precisely NO OCEAN RISE.... never mind Plymouth Rock, which has 400 years.... of no ocean rise.

REALLY....  they are close enough for the angle of descent to start sinking the islands.  Tectonic plates do not bend at 90 degree angles.  There is a slope, and it extends hundreds of miles from the actual fault.... but the quickie diagrams just show an almost 90 degree bend, so that's what DC Tom thinks is "real."

So you're citing Hawaii 5-0 and a coloring book as evidence?  God, you're a hoot.

The Marshall islands are about 1500 miles from the nearest seismically active location.  You're claiming the equivalent of the Puerto Rican trench causing Charleston SC to sink.

You're retarded.  Stop being retarded.  Be something else.

No, they are less than 300 miles from the Pacific Ring of Fire.... where one plate goes under the other... duh...

There is no subduction in the Atlantic.  The Atlantic Ocean is growing.  Nobody fears a tsunami in Miami, because the tectonic formation needed to produce one is simply not there...

No, they're about 1500 miles from the nearest seismically active region - either the Bougainville Trench or the New Hebridies Trench.  There are no nearer subduction zones.

PUERTO RICO TRENCH.  Also, the Cayman Trench, and Lesser Antilles subduction zone.

Jesus, you're an idiot.

That's not the definition of "subduction zone."

It is for an ACTIVE one...

The Pacfic Ring of Fire produced the Japan tsunami a decade or so ago...

Tsunamis are produced when one plate lurches under the other, "shrinking the bathtub..."

You should work on "facts" before you attempt something as abstract as "truth."

This from a Hebrew speaking Zionist Traitor who has spent the last 18 years spending his investment gains from having insider info that Jews were doing 911 before they did, and then has been here for 18 years shouting down truthers and lying about the Pentagon....

No, it's not.  They're called "subduction zones," not "tsunami zones."

But if that's your definition, then...Tenerife has caused tsunamis.  As has the Azores-Gibraltar fault.

It is entirely possible that small subduction zones exist all over.  That doesn't change the basic equation of Earth's crust, which is that the Atlantic is growing, and the Pacific is shrinking...

A 2 centimeter tsunami is still a tsunami, but....

All three of the "warmers" sinking island chains are within 300 miles of the PROF and on the subduction side....

coincidence??

No, they are not.  What, are you a flat earther, too?

Where are the Solomons?

A: right on the "lip" of the PROF on the subduction side.... just like the Marshalls

The Marshalls are NOT ON THE RING OF FIRE OR ANY OTHER SUBDUCTION ZONE.

But I admire your commitment to being a moron.

Yeah, the Solomon Islands are Nowhere NEAR the PROF.... according to DC Tom and the rest of the climate "scientists"

1) No one's claiming the Solomon Islands are sinking.

2) The Solomon Islands are not the Marshalls. Repeat: THE SOLOMON ISLANDS ARE NOT THE MARSHALLS.

Yeah, and that Puerto Rico trench you claim doesn't exist?  It's on your map, you goddamn mental midget.

Like many eco-friendly readers, you probably panicked over the news of five islands in the Pacific Ocean swallowed up by the rising sea levels associated with climate change. Now, Dr. Simon Albert, the author of the widely-trumpeted report documenting the shapeshift of 33 reef islands in the Solomon Islands between 1947 and 2014, claims the "climate change" aspect has been overblown. According to an interview with Albert in The Guardian, several media outlets, "exaggerated" the connection between the sinking of the five Solomon islands and climate change in his new study.

It does exist.  It just doesn't matter much because it produces 1 inch high tsunamis that don't bother anyone...

The PROF, that matters...

A claim that climate change didn't cause it is NOT THE SAME as a claim that climate change caused it.

Correct = climate change is not causing it, plate tectonics are...

but the Solomon Islands are sinking, and you claimed they weren't... or that nobody was claiming they were, and you were BUSTED LYING

i can find someone to claim anything.....  that's not proof of it being real

was reading that in Mozambique there was a rash of murders of bald men because people there thought they had gold in their skulls.

"climate change will cause rising sea levels to swallow large swaths of land is playing out in the Solomon Islands.

Numerous others in the South Pacific island nation appear to be headed for a similar fate

"fate" = going under the adjacent plate

"However, the limited research on reef islands in the western Pacific indicates the majority of shoreline changes and inundation to date result from extreme events, seawalls and inappropriate development rather than sea-level rise."

From the actual research paper.  No one is claiming it's due to climate change.
