He also says what a good QB should say; "I think it was all right," Bortles said of his performance. "I could have done a lot of things better. xsoldier54 Posted August 4, 2014 Share Posted August 4, 2014 I don't know about Bortles and how we might have traded up to get him, but the only Bills QB that played reasonably well was Tuel. It is way too early to panic with EJ and Lewis, but I would have liked to see both play better. Lewis In my opinion looked particularly bad. He needs to learn when to throw the fastball and when to take a little off. Most of his misses were totally uncatchable balls because he just put too much on them. I have seen that before from him, so hopefully someone will work with him on that. I am still optimistic about this team and it was only the first pre-season game, but damn it did look awfully familiar. Close game in the 4th Quarter, then someone makes a big mistake and the Bills find a way to lose again. Sorry, but it is like watching the same movie over and over again week in and week out.
