What is better, no guns, or more guns?

what about if someone is having a psychotic break?  or is just nuts like she was.  Should she have been able to get those guns in her obviously compromised state, Dr Freud?  Is shooting 9 yo normal emotional behavior in your school doc?

There is no reasoning with these gun nuts - absolutely pathetic

Oh, btw, this is what I get for not fact checking the talking heads.  The prevalence of transsexuality appears to be much less than 0.5%

In the United States, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V 2013) gives the following estimates: "For natal adult males [MTF], prevalence ranges from 0.005% to 0.014%, and for natal females [FTM], from 0.002% to 0.003%."

There are different circumstances that would keep someone from buying a firearm in regards to mental illness. What I'm saying, which you want to twist it and make it more than it is.... is that I am explaining to you: Just because you're seeing a shrink, that doesn't mean that person has some serious diagnosis that would keep them from owning a firearm.

When I got divorced, I was put on anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds. I was a mess. I saw a psychiatrist for that. People go to those specialists/doctors for a ton of different reasons.

Do you not get what I'm trying to explain? Or do you just want to keep making personal jabs at me?

If someone has a mental disorder that makes them a threat? By all means... yes... make it to where that person can't get their hands on a firearm.

i get it.  Never said anyone seeing a shrink shouldn't be able to get a gun.  I said he/she was clearly f'in nuts (in the DSM 4 right after f'in crazy) and should have been stopped from buying guns by you know, laws.

Jousting is an old sport.  Not to everyones taste tho.

I have seen several posts on here about the cost of an armed Deputy/ Officer per school so I figured I would use the Rochester city schools as my example district. They have a budget of almost a billion dollars for 47 schools for 25000 kids.  That works out to about 20 million a school per year, each with 500 kids per school. Even if you need two fulltime officers per school during hours kids are present that works out to 100k per year for officers making 50k a year. That amounts to less than 1% of the budget. Literally we could fund more security for 10 years based simply on money we have given Ukraine. Obviously the cost is not prohibitive, just the mindset that guns are the issue not crazy people.

ok, this really is a straw man.  I'm on the left. I'm not conforming to trans desires.  I'm in support of their FREEDOM to do so.  I want education.  I want people to be able to make change or understand fractions (when I was a teaching assistant at a public university it amazed my how many kids taking general Chemistry couldn't do that.  I'd say it was around 30%.  I want the rule of law.   Cheaters shouldn't win.

If your statement is true, then you are a living contradiction. Freedom ? Sure , we conservatives are for that. Education ? Cheating ? Conservatives don’t want that. Remember the Dems want unverifiable paper ballots in elections! They couldn’t get that unprecedented tactic in there fast enough. They also love illegal immigration. You almost make yourself sound like a conflicted conservative with your statement here.

I was an active R til the party left me.  We probably have more in common than you think.  But NC thinks I'm a commie cuz I disagree with him on just about everything.  But yeah, I've always been a bit left of Atilla the hun.  Go figure...

Hawk , I actually believe your first two statements here. The rest I can’t comment on, but yes I do believe it. Personally, I never thought I’d agree with or vote for Donald Trump. Until I did. I get that some folks don’t like him, but the other side got so crazy that you had to fight fire with fire. I was always pretty much an independent ; voted for George Bush , Clinton ( twice) etc. In todays climate , we all have key moments that turn us one way or the other. Cheers 🍻

A call to the cops would trigger at least a 72-hour hold. in this state that triggers red flag.  Seems the problem with taking red flag at the national level is the wording of what constitutes the trigger.

the second part is interesting. by that definition.  like 450K Americans are dealing with that disorder.  And guessing thats why you hear so many now talk about "Intersex" being the definition.  and some argue is 3% using the definitions that would include the Orange dude according to Stormy.  Welp, actually she would be included as those %^$DT don't look in the normal range.

good point. many dont pay any attention or even vote in primaries. then they get in the booth and its Big orange dude talking change, or the Scary war monger lady with years of baggage and the status quo.  and the clock is ticking, others are waiting for your booth.

I agree with you 100% and there are measures in place where that will happen. Right now, we have no idea what "emotional disorder" the person had. Hopefully, that will come out at some point. But for some reason, we don't always get the full info (like Vegas).

People are aggressively arming themselves. pistol permit applications are through the roof. some states are passing no license carry.

While the billionaire funded PACS try desperately to push disarmament while showing countless victims.

people are done seeing and reading about people being victims. and are making sure they aint going to be one.

That may be true. You can thank the libtards for that. Psychopaths who think down is up.

Are you 12?

How many adults use the term “tard” these days to refer to individuals who are developmentally delayed or challenged?

Do you have any family members or friends who have kids with Down syndrome for example?
