So Alonso has what may be a serious knee injury and already people are saying no big loss, he sucks, he's seriously overrated. WHAT? Starting OLB. Had 159 tackles, 87 solo- playing inside. Far and away the most on the team. Moving him outside was supposed to make him even better. Who do we have to replace him? Can't even make it to camp this year without disaster striking this team.

He's a PED suspension waiting to happen.

He overpursues consistently.

He is undisciplined and all over the field.

He was a starter on a monumentally horrid defense.

He had 2 good games ... all season ... and people want him in Canton.

This is not a big deal.

..says the guy with the "rebuilding since 2000" avatar. :D

I actually do think we can be okay, but it won't be nearly as fun without Kiko out there this year. We were looking fierce in our LB core. Now, who do we have at WIL? Nigel Bradham?

...well, ol Nigel said on Twitter that we shouldn't forget about him....here's his chance to shock the world...

prove this.

I'll go one more level here. I'll go to offensive.

Yes, we have improved the MLB. Go back and watch Alonso in the last 3 or 4 games. He was beat. He was worn out, still played very well. We now have Brandon Spikes at the MLB position, as well as young depth to build up there while Alonso shifted to WLB. That's his more natural position.

We saw Manny Lawson play successfully at this position at WLB. In fact, he was the second best LB on the field in 2014, which does not tell you that he might have been the 3rd best LB we have had in 6 or 7 years behind only Lawson and Poz.

Poz had a lot of tackles as a Bill, too. When you're on defense for 40 minutes out of a 60 minute game, you're going to get a lot of tackles. Who cares if they're after a first down, right?
