However, the Patriots offense continues to thrive with soon-to-be ex-Patriot Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez & Brandon Lloyd. Whereas the defense at many times looks suspect. Bellicheat hasn't hit all home runs on personnel moves either. PTR ReallY? Moss? Since Moss left, Brady has thrown for over 18,000 yards and 134 TDs..in 4 seasons. I don't think they miss him much. They still won 3 Super Bowls and something like 10-11 AFC Eash Divison crown and 6 AFC Championships. All dynasties come to an end with a Thud and may be this is the beginning of the end of that era for the Patriots Please remember how Kelly ended his career (On the hard cold turf of RWS) That is true. Remember when the Steelers dynasty of the 70's ended? Steelers fans don't like to talk about the 80's. Although the 49'ers were still a strong Super Bowl contending team even after the 80's. Even if we turn it around in '13, we will never have really gone toe to toe with Bellisith and Brady when they were in their prime, never kicked them in the teeth (certainly not while lying on the turf having just completed a QB slide). Just imagine if the Bills could have given us a Kelly/Marino type of rivalry with the Pats. Instead, we are kinda waiting for them to call it quits so we can play. Just like Ben Rapelisberger, he was a game manager when they won. Brady was considered a game manager in the Super Bowl against the Rams, but that was it. Since then, they posted a perfect regular season, only to lose in the SB. Got caught in the spygate scandal. Lost another SB to the Giants and now have lost the AFC title game at home to the Ravens. How do you think history will judge the Belichick/Brady era? Will they win another SB? Discuss... Don't think they will win another but they are one of the best organizations hands down. What is really important to me is seeing defenses catch up to the spread and now we can get back to real physical hard nosed smash mouth football. Death to the spread long live SmashMouth!!! In 12 games as a 2nd year player during the 2005 season, Ben had 2385 yds, 17 TDs, 9 INTs and a 62.7% comp. He had a terrible Super Bowl, and the Steelers won by the skin of some terrible officiating. Neither Tom Brady or Ben Roethlisberger were considered "game managers" aside from very early in their careers--- essentially the first 2 seasons for each. I'm not really sure what the argument is. Passing statistics have increased exponentially over the past decade. Fitz' stats in 2011-12 would have been top 10 or even top 5 in 2002-05. Tom Brady was not considered a game manager in 2003-04.
