Rocco - love what you're doing downtown with the LaFayette and all the condo/apartment/loft conversions - but do us a favor and stick to redeveloping Buffalo.

You would think you would WANT the Bills in Buffalo - with the team, players and visitors supporting your development efforts.

Just crazy to suggest this crap.

Email Rocco - complement him on his redevelopment efforts but to lay off the Buffalo Bills to Hamilton crap.

in the best interest of the Niagara Region and the State of NY (not the city of buffalo)....

they should build the new stadium practically on top of Niagara Falls USA !!!

Build it at the bottom of the falls. Then build 400 elevators and 75 zip lines that the fans have to use to get to the stadium.

Good idea, that way when people fall off the elevators, the maid of the mist can just snatch them up and put them back on it.

Unlike other new NFL stadiums that have no such safety provisions.

EXACTLY. The problem is that doing business in Niagara Falls is you have to do business with some of the scummiest, most backward thinking idiots in the country. They can't even take advantage of Niagara Falls. If I was a politician in Niagara Falls and I looked at what Niagara Falls, Ontario has accomplished in the past 20 years and then I looked at the cesspool I allow to fester, I would commit Hari-Kari.

Would a stadium in Niagara Falls work? Would it benefit Buffalo and not just the Bills to regionalize with the Wonder of the World tourist destination next door? Should the politicians who all have their hands in each others pockets and are wasting an amazing resource be lined up and stoned? The answer to all of those questions is a simple and resounding yes.

That being said, maybe Termini is suggesting Hamilton because he's hoping for a vocal outcry and reaction from Niagara Falls. It might be the only way to get those meth head politicians' attention.

You hit it on the head. Why the development on the NY/USA side of the falls is not better is beyond me. One of the best places in the world to develop a stadium, etc. But no, its a wasteland.

I admire a lot of what RT has done downtown, but this is just a stupid idea.

It's actually a good idea from his business perspective. Why locate in NYS with its ridiculous taxes, backward politicians, and the cesspool that is Niagra Falls, NY. From a bills fans perspective, it SUCKS. Hopefully NYS can get its head out of its a** long enough to come up with an option that puts a stadium IN NYS, by the falls, with nice stuff around it.

I seem to recall someone bringing up Hamilton a few weeks ago...

Termini speaks the truth, so he will be pilloried for it. But does it have to be in Hamilton? Frankly I think NF, ON would be a more fun place for a stadium. You have casinos, hotels, tourist attractions, the "ballet". You could hold special events, like a bowl game or Super Bowl, because you have infrastructure.

Wasteland is right. NF is an urban disaster. Went to a concert there Friday night. Take the Moses Parkway to 4th st and witness all of the abandoned homes/cars as you make it to Main St. Go down Main st and see all of the abandoned businesses/storefronts on the way to the theater. Even the Kentucky Fried Chicken is boarded up! Drive the other direction toward the casino and the only viable businesses are indian food restaurants and crappy hotels.

No way a stadium gets built here.

Passports, enhanced licence, don't have a DWI or some other criminal conviction on your record.. Not to mention all the other added costs involved crossing into Canada... And who is going to pay for the construction? Erie County and NYS tax payers won't stand for their tax dollars paying for a stadium in Hamilton, Ontario which will reap the profits.. Totally insane idea by Mr. Rocco!!!!

NOOOO! But seriously, one of the guys in my season tix group bought a two family house in the falls for 9 grand. That whole place is a craphole.

I honestly think this Hamilton talk is just a ploy to light a fire under the powers in Erie county and NYS.

Bills move to Hamilton or Toronto - say goodbye to any substantial support from Buffalo, Erie PA, Rochester, Syracuse, etc.

Also, say good bye to the fans that support this team in Bills backers bars across the world. I bet you add up all the folks that hit up those bars scattered around the country - there are more Buffalo Bills fans supporting the team remotely than all that come down from Toronto.

The Bills are bigger than Buffalo. They have worldwide support. Can Buffalo's corporate community support the Bills alone? No. They must regionalize but not at the expense of Bills Nation.

Termini is entitled to his opinion but should not be speaking to the Mayor of Hamilton about this - he doesn't even own the team.

Termini told Daybreak he had been contacted by Hamilton Mayor Bob Bratina and that he was interested in the idea. Bratina confirmed he contacted Termini after hearing about the story being on the Buffalo morning newscast. He did not offer the developer any commitments. “We had an interesting and pleasant conversation, but I would apply the term ‘Blue sky’ to this kind of proposal since there are no details regarding site, financing, interest by the Bills, et cetera,” Bratina said in a statement. “I do have confirmation, though, that the Anchor Bar is opening a franchise in downtown Hamilton early next year.” Bratina said, as mayor of Hamilton and a former football reporter, his interest and focus is “obviously” on the sustainability of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Canadian Football League.

Ballet? Promo, my spouse and I have been looking to take our kids to the ballet for some time now. We can't seem to find any performances of quality nearby, what venue in Niagara Falls Ontario has high level ballet? I didn't even know they had a performance arts center!!

thanks in advance,
