2013 Draft

DraftTek has the bills drafting #14, selecting

http://www.drafttek....raft-Round1.asp

You lost me right there. If we draft higher than #20 (at the highest) Bad Things have gone down.

Edit: overall I guess I have a big ol' Charolais with the power rankings used.

But that's OK. The season is coming.

QB is going to be a need, but Landry Jones?! Absolutely not.

As far as position, I'd rank Tight End or Wide Receiver as a higher priority.

He was decent 2 seasons ago, crappy last season especially after he lost Broyles. He does have a couple decent targets back so we'll see if he can rebound and become the QB many thought he would be.

I guess I'm saying 'don't write him off yet.'

Fair enough.

I just get suspicious of Big 12 QB's, and generally do not see them becoming great at the NFL level.

Canks:

Don't disagree and these mock drafts are not worth the paper we are starting as you know it depends on the best player available at that time matched with need. I'm not against a OG. I think outside of LT, RG is one of the hardest positions to play on the line as so many lines pull left and the RG is out there on one on ones often.

I have changed the Bills Positional Needs based on your comments. If I were drafting now using my big board above, I'd go

RD1: Jackson Jeffcoat---Texas---6'4" 250 DE43 OLB34

RD2: Joseph Fauria------UCLA----6'7" 252 TE

RD3: Cobi Hamilton------Arkansas6'3" 209 WRP WRF (Draft Scout has him much higher)

RD4: Marqueis Gray------Minn----6'4" 240 QB

Looks like I'll have too rearrange my Mock but I'll wait awhile till the season is well underway.

Don't change it; I respect and enjoy your work on the draft every year. And yes, it is a tad early.

Do you have Ray-Ray picked to eventually replace Wilson? Because I could see them picking SS early in 2013.

The quality of talent on the Bills roster has gotten to the point where the weight given to BPA far exceeds the weight given for positional needs.

In truth both are always factored in but I can't remember the last time when the quality of the player outweighed what position he plays by such a wide margin.

The Bills have gotten to the point that they can draft like the Steelers (DeCastro, Pouncey, etc) and just draft the best player available when their pick comes.

Yeah although I like Wilson and the team was high on Mark Barron from Alabama so I figure they are looking a star there. I saw RR play last year and thought he was a beast plus that size will come in real handy. Thanks for comments about my work on the draft, I can get OCD with it but I really like "scouting" players during games so I use that plus draft rankings to see where and what players to pick.

Whatever happened to Cordarro Law? I thought this guys would at least get drafted but I couldn't even find him as UDFA nor even a camp invite which guys from Alfred state got invites for Heaven's sake.
