Define "at the scene"

You do know that if he jumped out mid air the plane would have kept flying for awhile right? His body could be anywhere along the flight path, assuming he didn't voluntarily bail out

Is this a fact or fiction thread?

Strange story. Why bail out? Suicide or otherwise? Seems a nose dive into the country side would work as well. Maybe less of a thrill than the free fall.

Maybe he realized he was in Canada and ended it right then.

Maybe he had a chute and wanted to go off the grid.

Maybe he went to Kansas like Dorothy.

But he was not abducted by aliens because there is no such thing.

It's a speculative thread... with some being more ardent skeptics than others.

4merper4mer is the Scully to my Mulder.

So you call it (a tabloid story) fact and he calls it fiction.

Sure they do. My wife's aunt is named Aileen

My less than sharp brother in law called her Aunt Alien

Strange story, I agree.

Call me a skeptic but when I see a story like this my mind wanders into the realm of stupid Schitt that people do rather than the History© Channel school of logic

I don't know -> Aliens

Speaking of the History© Channel, ever seen "What on Earth"? I can "guess what they are looking at 8 out of 10 times while they throw out their silly guesses. 8 out of 10 their first guess is Aliens.

Why is that lake pink -> Aliens

What made those circles -> Aliens

Where did that hole come from -> Aliens

Someone wrote in the comments:

Electromagnetic phenomena are not "signals". That person is correct. Whoever wrote the article explained it poorly and/or wanted to leave out facts to sell more clicks.

But others explained them by suggesting that they could be local interference, tricking astronomers into thinking they had found the unusual messages. In 2015, for instance, it emerged that researchers had actually detected their own microwave in one experiment, rather than the mysterious message from aliens they thought they found.

See, that's what happens when you put tin foil in the microwave.
