Will Josh Reed's career mirror Andre's?

In an article it talks about possibility that this may be Josh Reed's last season in Buffalo.

Andre Reed was reliable and dynamic WR, willing to go over the middle to make tough catches, underestimated by some and injured when he went into free agency. He caught balls from one of the best QBs in league at the time and probably the best backup QB in league at the time.

Josh Reed is a reliable WR and great blocker, willing to go over the middle to make tough catches, underestimated by some and injured when he went into free agency. He caught balls from a collection of QBs bad mouthed by many especially their own fans.

When Andre Reed went into free agency there was not a lot of interest partly because he was injured and partly because his stats were attributed to the skill of his QB. Josh Reed is going into free agency injured but not many of his catches will be attributed to the skill of his QBs.

In many ways their careers have been parallel. Neither are speed receivers like Evan and Parish were but made the tough catches. Andre had limited interest and went to Buffalo after talking about making his big payday in free agency. Josh has not talked about looking elsewhere but may need to look elsewhere to keep playing since Buffalo has heavily invested already in other WRs.

Josh has a long way to go to have his career mirror Andre's.

Andre Reed equals Josh Reed? Their careers have been parallel!?

While I like Josh Reed, consider him to be one of the many players used incorrectly the last five years, it is shocking that someone would compare the two the way you do:

ANDRE: 951 receptions for 13,198 yards and 87 touchdowns 16 years in the NFL

JOSH: 311 receptions 3,575 yards and 10 touchdowns 8 years in the NFL

Andre Reed will be in the Hall of Fame, was the career leader in receptions at one point, and was a major reason the Bills were in four Super Bowls. He didn't garner much interest in free agency because he was old for a receiver, having played his kiester off for FIFTEEN years with the Bills.

What a ridiculous post.

Andre was incredible after the catch. He would catch slants then turn them into a 50 or 60 yard td. Josh has never had that in his game. The simiarities with Andre end at the name on the jersey.

This thread had to have been started for the sole purpose of igniting 1,000 identical replies.

In similar news, I saw that the Sabres just called up Jean-Claude Perreault, Pierre Robert, and Joe Martin from Portland, and, well ...... nevermind.

I don't understand the love for Josh Reed - the dude stinks we signed him to a terrible deal felt like he had to play. He can't get open against the other teams #3 and #4 corners. Comparison to Andre is laughable closer to Walter Broughton. One of my all time least favorite players although Sully likes him because he'll talk to him

Despite a reoccurrence against the Patriots, Josh Reed has largely overcome his dropping problem.

Too bad it reoccurs when it counts the most....

Josh sux, always has.

Even Sam Aiken was better but drafted lower so typical Bills style, did not get the opp.

I wouldn't compare Josh to Andre. That said, I like Josh and wouldn't mind him resigning with the team. He has converted a lot of third downs for us.....

When Andre hit FA they signed Quinn Early to a 7mil contract. Marv had guys like Bruce Jim and Thurman call Andre to show him the love and talk him into returning to the team......
