  1. i would also take and probably would prefer, byron leftwich.
  2. No offense buddy, and I am sure you are the most bad ass GM in all of Madden nation...but you will never become the "Director of Football Ops"...so, I am not exactly interested in YOUR plan, as much as I am the Buffalo Bills' plan.
  3. If so, bring him in and name him the starter. Let Trent learn behind him for a year and see where Kerry takes us. Why not? He would instantly make us better for next year. Jeff Fisher has 100% full confidence in this guy and says he has a lot left in the tank. He would have MUCH better WR's here to work with, draft/sign a TE and C, we would be looking good. *Forgot to mention, I am a BIG Trent supporter...I just think we need a good veteran in here to teach Trent some things.
  4. Contact THIS guy...he has the 1995 Buffalo Bills NFL Yearbook on DVD. http://billkuhn.wordpress.com/my-vintage-s...deo-collection/
  5. My bad...Jim Johnson was a Tight End in Buffalo from 1963-1964, thought it said Tight Ends Coach. As for Darwin...don't blame him that he realized he got unwillingly traded to a piece of sh-- team going nowhere! I should not say "TEAM," because I love the Buffalo Bills and the players on this team, I will say "ORGANIZATION" instead...although it is not very organized!
  6. I would not say Schobel comes close to Mario Williams...but I would DEFINITLY not say that JOSH REED is a STUD WR who comes even close to the same strastosphere as Andre Johnson! NOT EVEN CLOSE! I would take Johnson over Reed AND Evans...TOGETHER! He is a Top-5 WR in this league.
  7. How can you say Kamerion Wimbley has flopped already? He has been in the league for 3 years and on a schitty team! He had 66 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 forced fumble and 1 interception this year. Who on the Bills defense did that? He has 179 tackles and 20, yes TWENTY sacks (11 as a Rookie) in 3 years...better than any LB or DE on the Bills defense. I would LOVE to have him on our Defense...as a Linebacker or an End!
  8. I take Jermaine Gresham ANYWHERE! We NEED him. He is going to be a stud...look at how valuable Antonio Gates is! He won that game last night with those catches at the end, ESPECIALLY the catch where he dragged 4 guys with him to the 1st down marker. The BEST thing for this team and its young QB would be a HUGE ATHLETIC weapon at TE...Gresham has ALL the tools! If I can't take him in the 1st...I do whatever I have to do to get Rey Maualuga or Taylor Mays. They both are basically already on an NFL squad, having been playing at USC for a couple years now. They BOTH are NFL ready.
  9. At least he was not the one who got possession charges. So, he is worth millions and his buddy is driving a 1995 Nissan? Haha. With those millions, he better buy Mr. Hart a new car...cause, Bo-Bo got that '95 Nissan now!
  10. I heard today that Mike Mularkey has become a candidate for the Head-Coaching position in Detroit. On ESPN, they said that the Lions will look to take QB Matt Stafford with the #1 selection in this year's draft...and they noted how well Mike Mularkey has brought along and developed Matty "Ice" Ryan, down in Atlanta. Why couldn't he do that with JP Losman? On a more positive note...I saw a post about "HORRIBLE" castoffs (Former Bills) enjoying success in the playoffs. Well, I don't see it that way. I would like to "Thank" all of those players, coaches and executives, who gave their time and hard-work to the Buffalo Bills franchise and the community of Buffalo. Even though they play and/or work for other teams, they used to be a part of this organization...it is not (MOST) of their faults that they were sent packing from Orchard Park. Congrats, Good Luck...and, Thank You for your time: Indianapolis Colts Bill Polian - General Manager Pete Metzelaars - Offensive Quality Control Coach / Offensive Line Assistant Coach Frank Reich - Offensive Assistant Coach Jon Torine - Strength and Conditioning Coach San Diego Chargers AJ Smith - General Manager Charlie Joiner - Wide Receivers Coach Bill Bradley - Secondary Coach Dennis Abraham - Director of Pro Scouting Mike Biehl - Assistant Director of College Scouting Baltimore Ravens Willis McGahee - Running Back Jim Leonhard - Free Safety Justin Bannan - Defensive Tackle Miami Dolphins Dan Henning - Offensive Coordinator Atlanta Falcons Mike Mularkey - Offensive Coordinator Lawyer Milloy - Strong Safety Coy Wire - Outside Linebacker Jason Jefferson - Defensive Tackle Mike Schneck - Long Snapper Arizona Cardinals Mike Miller - Wide Receivers Coach Mike Gandy - Offensive Tackle Philadelphia Eagles Jim Johnson - Defensive Coordinator Jon Dorenbos - Long Snapper Minnesota Vikings Pat Williams - Defensive Tackle Antoine Winfield - Cornerback New York Giants Kevin Gilbride - Offensive Coordinator Carolina Panthers Darwin Walker - Defensive Tackle Pittsburgh Steelers Dick Lebeau - Defensive Coordinator Larry Zierlein - Offensive Line Coach Tennessee Titans Fred Graves - Wide Receivers Coach Josh Stamer - Outside Linebacker Eric King - Cornerback *I would also like to send a "Congrats and Good Luck" to some former Syracuse University alum: (Besides the MANY coaches (Head and Assistants) that worked for the Orange, MANY of whom are on the Miami Dolphins coaching staff, including Defensive Coordinator Paul Pasqualoni.) Donovan McNabb (QB - Philadelphia Eagles) Adam Terry (OT - Baltimore Ravens) David Tyree (WR - New York Giants) Quinn Ojinnaka (OT - Atlanta Falcons) Anthony Smith (S - Pittsburgh Steelers) Keith Bulluck (LB - Tennessee Titans) Rich Scanlon (LB - Tennessee Titans) Will Allen (CB - Miami Dolphins) Kelvin Smith (LB - Miami Dolphins) Marvin Harrison (WR - Indianapolis Colts) Dwight Freeney (DE - Indianapolis Colts) Josh Thomas (DE - Indianapolis Colts) Ryan Lacasse (DE - Indianapolis Colts) Congrats and Good Luck to some local coaches as well. -Kevin Spencer (Arizona Cardinals / Special Teams Coach) - Former Cortland Grad and Ithaca Coach. -Matt House (Carolina Panthers / Special Teams Coach) - University of Buffalo Assistant Coach. MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL - Tom Coughlin from Waterloo. Good Luck Coach Coughlin! *I am sure I missed some Coaches and/or Executives, I tried to name the well-known guys. I do not like to rip on players, especially good character guys who gave their time and committment to us for years. If you do not agree with me, or have a problem with this, just go away and don't read my post. This is my way to show my appreciation. The Buffalo Bills are not in the playoffs this year, I could not decide who to root for, although I do like the Arizona Cardinals as my "2nd favorite" team or my NFC team...so I am rooting for THESE GUYS (mentioned above)!!! (I also wanna add...it was hard watching Rookie CB's Antoine Cason and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie not only START for their teams in the Playoffs, but also come up big with some game-changing plays. I hope McKelvin was watching.)
  11. I believe Paris Lenon came in to visit the Bills 2 or 3 years ago. I could be wrong. I would love to get Takeo back! Always been a big fan of Vilma, Dansby and Boley. All will be retained by their respective teams.
  12. The thing is...Lawyer Milloy was on a team that went 11-5 and made the playoffs. So did Bob Sanders. Where are our Safeties? Although they are "Worth millions..." they don't seem to be very good.
  13. Why would he decide to stay around for another year, and leave the Jets to come to a worse team that he beat while with the Jets?
  14. Suggs, Peppers and Brown would have to WANT to come to BUFFALO! I know if I were a player, and a free agent this year...I would rather sign for $8 million to go to Miami, then $10 million and come to Buffalo. MOST PLAYERS CARE ABOUT AND WANT TO WIN!
  15. I have seen in MANY posts, that LB Channing Crowder would be a "good fit" or "nice addition" as a free agent. Let me ask... Does ANYBODY honestly think that Channing Crowder would leave the Miami Dolphins to come play for the Buffalo Bills? The Dolphins won't let him leave anyway.
  16. Rather then spend all the money it would cost to overhaul, Ralph is saving his money. Why spend your money on something that you plan on getting rid of soon? I think you might be on to something here.
  17. Dont you recall Maurice Jones-Drew laying out, I think it was, Shawn Merriman? I would say that Merriman was 10x as embarrassed as Whitner was. Talk about size difference. Its all about leverage.
  18. I like how they have the Colts taking © Alex Mack...just like last year they took Steve Justice and Jamey Richard. Polian knows how to draft...which leads to wins...onto the playoffs...Super Bowls...etc etc etc. BUILD THE FRICKIN LINES AND PROTECT YOUR PLAYMAKERS!
  19. I agree to an extent. I believe that a Head Coach like Bill Belichick, and the Assistants that he surrounds himself with, play a major role in ANY player's development and maturation. However, you also have to take into account who is surrounding that Quarterback, on the field. Not a single one of those QB's that you mentioned have had anywheres near the caliber of players that the Patriots have had, over the last few years. None of them had the type of Offensive Line that the Patriots have either. I would also argue that none of those QB's have been or are on a "TEAM" as close and tight as New England ALWAYS seems to be. None of the teams that these QB's played on had the type of leadership, on and off the field, that the Patriots display each and every year. (It is a whole different atmosphere in Boston, just look at how Randy Moss changed when he got there.) Also, with the exception of maybe Boller, none of those guys had a Defense that could give them field position and opportunities, like the Patriots consistently do. In the game of Football, it is about the family. You work for eachother, not for individual awards. You trust in and believe in your coaches, as well as the guy lined up next to you in the same color jersey. This is what the New England Patriots franchise is all about. Nothing more, and certainly nothing less. I'll agree with you again, that the Head Coach and his staff play a MAJOR role in the progress of ANY player's development. Just remember, it is a "TEAM" game and 11 guys line up together on the field.
  20. i do not recall barry sanders' teams ever doing much of anything at all...does that mean he was a loser and a bad player? after all...he did play for the detroit lions, the "worst team ever."
  21. I am sorry, but I must admit I do not know what the "Rhodes Scholar" is? If you do not think he would give up whatever it is to make Top-10 (or higher) draft pick money...then it must be something pretty damn important. He would probably give it up, just not to play for the Buffalo Bills. (haha. just joking)
  22. THAT RIGHT THERE shows how much you know about the game of Football. Peters, deserving or not, has made 2...TWO Pro-Bowls. Who the hell is Kirk Chambers and where did he come from? He is a servicable BACKUP Lineman for the Buffalo Bills, who has stepped in and done a pretty good job when needed. Chambers would NOT start on MANY other teams...he would NOT even make the team if he played in New England, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, NYG and NYJ, Carolina, Miami, Dallas, Denver...etc etc. Let's put it this way...NO Playoff team would have Kirk Chambers playing for them. On the other hand...Jason Peters would START on almost EVERY team's line, if not at LT, then somewhere else. I got my 1 GOOD laugh in for the day. Thank you.
  23. REALLY? The same Josh Reed that caught, what, 9 balls this Sunday against Champ Bailey and Dre Bly??? NO WAY! And they call themselves "Bills" fans. Ha, what a joke! They are probably the same !@#$s who were throwing sh-- at our players as they left the field that one game. Absolutely pathetic. Either stand by your team and support your players...or find another team to disgrace!
  24. It is VERY unlikely that it was "Undeserved." I would bet that the players and coaches know more about these players and how good they are, than any one of us on this board. Jason Peters is very deserving of his Pro-Bowl trips, and he should be rewarded for his achievements ASAP! Besides the Lynch/Jackson combo, Jason Peters is the best thing we have going for us. Do you understand how hard it is to find a Left Tackle of that caliber? Sure, maybe Kirk Chambers has stepped in and played admirably a few times, but he certainly would not hold up for the long haul...especially against Elite D-Ends, week in and week out. He held Elvis Dumervil in check the other day...WOW! Let's see him play against Jason Taylor, Julius Peppers, Dwight Freeney, Justin Tuck and Osi...some of the guys that Peters has dominated! Sorry...I have liked this fella since he was a 300 pound Tight End at Arkansas with Matt Jones as the QB. I just DO NOT think getting rid of our BEST Offensive Lineman would be a good idea right now, since its the MOST important position. Think about it...without him blocking for the QB, there would be no QB. So I rate LT above QB in terms of importance. Just a thought. Good day.
  25. Hahahahahaha! Some people on here crack me up! A player plays in a very select few games in his ROOKIE season, when Rookie WR's dont do anything to begin with...and you are calling him a "BUST?" HAHAHA! Just a couple weeks ago, everybody on here was saying Leodis McKelvin was a "Bust!" He WILL be a Pro-Bowler. For a player to be considered a "BUST," he must be given QUALITY time to improve, hone his skills and adapt to the NFL game. When I speak of time, I dont mean training camp and a couple games...how about like 3-5 years? If after 3 years the player has not gotten better and become a starter, and after 5 years if they are nothing and out of the league (ala Mike Williams...the lineman and the receiver), then YES, that player can be considered a "BUST." Even Donte Whitner has been called a "Bust." I have heard on here that POZ is nothing. It is ALL absurd. Look at this team and what these young players, whom you consider NO GOOD, have in front of them and around them. Maybe Whitner is not suited to play SS in the NFL, move him to FS and he might become the game-changer we long for. Better yet, produce a !@#$in pass-rush to force the QB to make quick decisions...and I bet Whitner would be a TOTALLY DIFFERENT player in the secondary. Chris Hope...Pro-Bowler? I would rather have Donte Whitner. If you get married, and your wife cooks her first homecooked meal badly and shrinks your favorite shirt...is she a "Bust?" Should you have gotten someone else...is your marriage ruined? EVERYTHING takes time...especially for ROOKIE football players to develope!
