  1. OR, maybe he is incompetent. OR his assessments and values for players differ than those of other NFL scouts. There has to be a reason he is on TV and not employed as an actual professional scout/talent evaluator/GM.
  2. Good write up. Lots of great analysis. I would personally disagree with your preference. I would reduce the OL preference to almost Zero and increase the WR preference. I am hoping for an impact WR or LB at 8.
  3. I have yet to see a breakdown of the contract/incentives. In fact, I have not seen any official announcement that he actually is signed. I too and interested and hopeful that it includes a good chunk of incentives. It would be frustrating if the Bills overpaid for a guys with so many question marks.
  4. I would be very unhappy if the Bills select a guard at 8 with so many other glaring needs that need to be addressed. Serviceable guards are fairly easy to find. Now, if we were a superbowl contending team and our only open starting spot was at G, then this pick would be great. We don't have the luxury of wasting a top 10 pick on a G. WR or LB at 8, please. I'd even settle for the Top TE, but please no OG.
  5. I'm not at all offended by the stupid comment from Stevie. It is, however, another example of just how immature and stupid the guy is. I understand that he is trying to be funny/entertaining, but as a public figure, he needs to think before he speaks. His comments are not simply his, they are a reflection of the team and the city. His stupidity makes the BIlls, their fans and the city of Buffalo look stupid. I really like Stevie as a player, but I am getting tired of his stupid comments. He's trying to be the next Chad Johnson. The problem is that Chad was actually funny. Stevie is just like a 10 year old kid making fart noises or otherwise acting foolish just to get attention. The act is getting old.
  6. With Glenn, Pears, Hairston and Sanders, I think we are fairly set at OT. We have definite needs on the interior OL and I would prefer that any new players brought in would be done to address a need at LG and backup C
  7. He is terrible. Drops everything thrown to him. I would not want him on the Bills.
  8. This isn't really a separate rumor. It is CBS Sportsline simply repeating that ProFootballtalk.com is reporting the Bills rumored interest
  9. Agreed. Signed, Russel Wilson Colin Kaepernick Tom Brady
  10. Using 2nd rounder on one of these QBs is a better option than being forced to take one at 8 because you have no one else.
  11. The report gives validity to yesterdays rumor about Kolb visiting OBD
  12. I said it yesterday, I would be fine with signing Kolb as long as he is not given starter money. It would buy time and allow for them not to be forced to reach for a QB in Rd1 who does not deserve to be a top 10 pick. I'd be pissed if they sign Kolb and again failed to pick a QB early in the draft. Sign Kolb, Draft QB in RD2. Let Kolb, TJax and the Rookie battle it out in camp. What do we have to lose?
  13. Your mock is as good or better than any of the other ones I've seen. I agree with the poster who would have like a WR in Rd2. I think our OL help will come in FA.
  14. I know the bills have sniffed around a free FA TE's How about Dallas Clark or Kevin Boss?
  15. I would have had no interest in signing him to a one year deal. He is unliklely to be anywhere near 100% at any point in the 2013 season. I'm fine with missing out on him. You would not be getting the healthy Fred Davis. You'd be paying him while he rehabs. No Thanks.
  16. This is actually a fairly decent idea. It would be depressing to go through it this year. But going into the draft next year with multiple #1s would be awesome.
  17. Tom Brady was a sixth round pick, we should be able to get him for nothing more than a 4.
  18. Never going to happen. They will not use a top 10 pick on a guard.
  19. Thanks for the info. I would be fine with signing Kolb, if as another poster said, we still draft a QB in the first 2 rounds. And if it is at a reasonable price (short term). The more competition for the position, the better. Kolb, when healthy, is pretty decent. I said the same about Flynn. It is worth a shot. I would be against bringing in Carson Palmer only because I believe he is done. But a QB with something left in the tank is fine with me. The long term answer to the position is obviously the draft, but Kolb is possibly a better short term answer than T Jax.
  20. I believe he was on Saturday Night Live and then went on to serve in Congress.
  21. I don't think he is the answer. He is pretty much shot. If he is being signed to be a placeholder while our #1 pick QB gets ready, fine. But to expect anything more from him would be a mistake, IMO.
  22. Glennon at 8 or in a later round? I cannot see them passing on Barkley, Manuel and Nassib to select Glennon at 8.
  23. Thanks for the info. I have not seen any replays of his Proday yet. Question: Since you stated that you are not a big fan of his, do you think that your overall reaction to his performance in his proday could be influenced by your predisposition to being unimpressed? Basically, you saw what you wanted to see? I'm guessing that somebody who is a huge Barkley fan will provide a contradictory opinion and say that Barkey was awesome and is now a lock to go top 10.
  24. If Geno is still available at pick 8, I expect the Bills would have their card turned in with his name on it before the Commission even officially announced pick #7 and Russ would be running up to the side of the stage with a Bills #1 jersey in his hands.
