The O-line as a whole today was shockingly solid today. I, along with many people here were sure that the O-line was going to be the major reason this team would struggle, but I was pleasantly surprised. Of course its only one game, we will see if these guys can keep up the solid play....I hope they can.

As the Lee Evans apologists would say: "He did a great job of drawing the coverage away from Boldin" The best part of today's game for me was the fact that Evans was absolutely not missed in this offense. I wish they would have gotten more than a 4th rounder for him, but I'm glad the Bills moved on from the one trick pony.

Its 2 for Offense, 2 for Defense, and 2 for Special Teams---its been this way since the NFL started putting the "C's" on the jerseys a few years back.

C'mon man.....don't you think its also the priority of these players to want to win now. These guys are 30+, and have already made their money....these guys are only still playing because they want a chance to win a Super Bowl, and they will go to a team that gives them that chance. Honestly, if you were in their situation, what would you do??

Exactly... why do people find this so hard to understand. Most of these veterans have already made their money at this point, and are looking to finish their careers with a team with a chance to win the Super Bowl this year.

From what I have seen, he has the skills to become a solid RT....if he continues to progress, I'm sure he will be given every opportunity to compete for the starting RT job at camp next year.

I was going to say thomas Jones as well. How about Leonard Davis...he was drafted in the top 5 as a Tackle by Arizona, then went on to be an All-Pro Guard for the Cowboys.

I'm definitely hoping for Andrew Luck, but I am also hoping for a LT and a RT capable of keeping him from being injured by week 2. To the people who are "hoping" for 6-10...please explain yourselves With a guy like Andrew Luck in the draft next year, you should be either hoping your team is good enough to get far into the playoffs, or bad enough to draft Luck....its obvious the Bills have a better chance of the latter.

Not for nothing, but Jake Locker couldn't shine Andrew Luck's shoes. No way he doesn't go #1 overall whenever he declares for the draft. Not to mention the fact that even though Locker stunk it up this year, he still went #8 overall.

If there is no season at all this year, what happens to the players who were drafted this year? Could they possibly go back into the next draft if teams are unable to sign them for an entire year?

Actually, they took the top rated Safety with the 2nd round pick.......Good Riddance Whitner. I agree that round 3 pick will be LB or OT.

Is it odd that you responded to your own post? Yes. As for AJ Green, I wouldn't be up in arms if he was the pick.....unless Dareus was still on the board.

I do find it odd that Kim K. can be famous for accomplishing so little, but man did she look good in that commercial!!

I too hope the Bills spend their FA money on a legit starting TE...I like the two you mentioned, but I would also throw in Owen Daniels TE for the Texans. I think LB should be the other place the Bills concentrate their FA dollars.

I agree. A J Green is going to be the pick if Fairley is off the board. It is obvious that the Bills need defensive help, but I do believe people are forgetting that they have 7 more draft picks in the draft. It would also allow the Bills to trade away the under-achieving Lee Evans for another draft pick(possibly a 3rd?). IMO, AJ Green is better at his position than any of the other defensive top 5 picks are at their respective positions(not including Fairley).

I know we had our disagreements re: Fitz vs. Luck, but I really think this could happen.....especially if Fairley is off the board. I think trading Lee Evans and 4th rounder to the Chicago Bears for their 2nd rounder might be possible as well. The Bills could use their 2nd to draft a RT(Demarcus Love, Marcus Cannon, Derrick Sherrod), and use the Bears 2nd to draft a DL--prefferably LSU's Drake Nevis. Lets build an offense with our first two picks that Andrew Luck can walk right into when we draft him with the first pick in the 2012 draft. Flame Away!!!!!!!

As an offensive-minded coach, I wouldn't be surprised if Chan will want to draft WR A.J. Green with the #3 pick. Wether or not this would happen is up for debate, but it wouldn't totally shock me if Green is the pick.
