  1. So...You're telling me the Harvard Grad did not know how to do his job properly because Gailey did not teach him properly? Why is it still so hard for some to understand that Fitz has never really been good enough? He has not been, he's not now, and he likely never will be...Can we not strive for better? Time to move on...It's just time...
  2. I'm AOK with Marrone, so I really like the idea of bringing Hackett...They obviously feel they work well together...That can't be a bad thing...People who have had success together should stick together... Like The Beatles for example...
  3. Jackson is a UFA in 2013...Not that we can't re-sign him...But there is no way The Bills can stand-pat at QB because I expect Fitz and Thigpen may BOTH be out the door...So they may need 2 new guys...Maybe 3...
  4. Here's the main thing with me and Mallett now...and I liked him more than most coming out...If Belichick was willing to trade him inside Division, there's no way I would touch the Kid...I can't see the Pats wanting to trade him to a team they play twice every year if they truly thought he was any good... It's just a weird situation with Mallett...Fooled us once...Remember?
  5. Definitely slimmer pickings than 2011 huh? The top of that Draft was loaded with talent...It does seem to me like the 2013 Draft is going to have some real nice talent at OL in the first few Rounds...I'll tell you what...I don't think The Bills will go O-Line at #8 whatsoever...but if they stay there, they're going to pass on a couple real nice O-Line prospects... The QB's in this Draft don't lack talent, but most are no where near NFL ready...I think a certain team (like The Bills for example) could start Geno Smith next year and have some success with a strong running game and smart-safe game planning...But a team that starts Tyler Wilson, Matt Barkley, Mike Glennon, or any of these other 2013 QB's as a Rookie, better have a hell of a good plan...And a heck of a lot of patience...I'm not overly impressed with the WR's in this Draft either... There is always a ton of talent in every Draft, but it is tough for me to get too excited about this group so early in the process...Right now, especially considering The Bills primary needs, it looks a lot like meh...To me at least... We'll see...I'll be giddy again in April like most everyone else...
  6. Exactly...I LOVED Kelly's comments at Halftime...The most honesty I think I've ever heard out of a HC that was clearly out-talented...
  7. I've been saying for a while now that Te'o was more Rey Maualuga than Ray Lewis...I think tonight we saw exactly that...But let me say this, he should still be a good, productive Pro...Like Maualuga, I think Te'o has a good NFL future...He's just not going to be confused with Patrick Willis any time soon...And I don't think he's a Top 10 pick...
  8. I agree with this take...Personally I think the whole "bridge QB" thing is a waste of time...Why would Alex Smith want to go cross-country to be in the exact same situation he was just in? I mean, if nothing else give the guy a break!!! If you're going to take a young guy high, and you think enough about him to do so...Play him...Figure out a way to get him experience while he learns...Mold an Offense around him that is simpler, but allows him to see what NFL Defense do on the field...If he's the QB you think he is, you'll see the payoff in year #2...And if he's REALLY good he might even win you a few games in year #1...
  9. The pond story is excellent... I would add this...Please don't tell us it's hard to win in the NFL...We know this all too well...
  10. Agreed...If Horton does not get one of the current openings, he will be one and done with another good season as a DC... I just can't see Lovie coming and working under a 1st time NFL HC...Maybe I'm wrong...I do think that should Lovie miss out on one of the current jobs there would be no better way to establish himself as a legit HC prospect again then to resurrect this terrible Bills Defense...I think in that case Lovie would be a one and done as well... I'm just guessing it will not be a big name at DC...We'll see soon enough...
  11. Belinda and DOOMED!!! are my personal favs...
  12. Agreed...And though I'm far tougher on Nix than most, I'll add one potential stud to that list in Alex Carrington...I really feel like he's on the edge of being a player, and I think he's going to push Kyle Williams HARD for PT in 2013...
  13. I'm not writing this as an endorsement of Marrone necessarily...But I agree with this take... As a Bills 1st, but Michigan 2nd, and Syracuse 3rd Football fan, I doubt very much anyone can have more disdain for Greg Robinson than I do...What Marrone did there (Cuse), to me at least, was pretty significant...My immediate reaction was not positive when I heard Marrone would be interviewed...Like most I thought about the overall record at Cuse first...But after a day I thought...well...This is a HC that is going to get more, not less out of the talent he's given...If he brings that trait alone to Buffalo it will be a major step forward... We'll see I guess...But I don't hate the choice at all...And I've been tremendously hard on The Bills Organization for a while now...
  14. True, it's not tough to be an All-Star among this bunch...
  15. John, You are quickly becoming one of my favorite members of this board... So I guess I should apologize for that right now... Seriously though...Great points all...
  16. If in fact this was all Brandon and Whaley, and no Nix...All I can say is thank God!!!...
  17. Don't know why I want The Colts to win this game as badly as I do...But I do...
  18. We'll see... You're opinion is noted...Should you prove to be able to predict the future, I'm certain we will all erect a statue in your honor...
  19. Right just noticed that... And I'm no bridge jumper...Much more of a smart-ass...Don't assume...
  20. Oh you've got to be freaking kidding me...
  21. I'm sorry, but I LOVE the fact that we got one of the Browns guys!!! I just LOVE it!!! Why? Because I have big-time respect for what The Browns are trying to do to turn that Franchise around...The folks they have brought in and the new Ownership is top-notch...If in fact we got the Browns 2nd choice away from them, it thrills the heck out of me...And that's not saying I love Marrone...But I do think it's a great sign...
  22. Marrone was clearly a name that was getting attention...When I first heard the Bills were going to interview him I was thinking..."What?" Then I read up more about him, saw the obvious interest he was getting everywhere, and realized there has to be something to the guy...Plus...I'm not saying he's the next Sean Payton whatsoever...But he's from that tree...And I for one LOVE Sean Payton...He's one of my favorite NFL HC's...I just think the guy is outstanding, detailed, etc... So anyway, the thought of Marrone being a legit candidate should not be surprising to any Bills fan IMHO...
  23. I think we're in for 4 Months of "Nassib will be The Bills QB" posts... Truth is Marrone is an Offensive Football Coach who is going to be like a kid in a candy store looking at all these QB's...If he's smart, and he is...His relationship with Nassib will mean nothing...If he thinks another QB fits his system better he'll have The Bills go after that guy aggressively...The chances Nassib becomes the next Buffalo Bills QB are actually not much better than they were yesterday...
