  1. Again...No one is questioning that we need more talent elsewhere on Offense...At least no one I know of...But it all HAS to start with the QB position... When the QB situation is below average there is almost no way to properly evaluate what you have on Offense around that QB...And like NewEra just wrote so bluntly, you're trying to put the cart before the horse...Use your eyes and common sense to judge the situation...Fitz is a major liability due to his skill set...Period...I'll give credit where it is due, for what he can do with his natural ability Fitz has greatly over-achieved...But his ceiling is what it is...It's LOW! He cannot challenge Defenses with his arm deep, and every Defensive Coach in the league knows it...Also, he is terrible at extending a pass-play...Something that is an absolute must in today's NFL...Fitz can take off and run every now and again alright ..But moving in, or out, of the pocket and coming up with a big pass play is completely non-existent in his game...He's just not good enough, so why bother? Move on and try to find a QB that can be 26th in the league or better in Total QB Rating...I promise you it's not going to be that hard to upgrade over Fitz...It's much harder to find a true Franchise QB...But upgrading over Fitz will be relatively easy...
  2. Well...Since no one is going to do it... I'll triple that UGH!
  3. Haha!!! You noticed that too huh? Incredible the lengths some will go in their roundabout way to defend the turd we have starting at QB...The real irony is if they just used the eyes God gave them, and some REAL basic common sense, they would come to the same conclusion the vast majority of Bills fans have come to...He's not good enough...Never was, never will be...Period...End of story...
  4. I listen to WGR most every day...Morning and afternoon...And I'm being dead honest when I say I can't remember anyone being overly critical of KW even once...I'm sure someone has along the way...But I seriously can't remember it, so I'm not sure what you're referring to? Who has been ripping Williams on WGR?
  5. Plus he continuously came up short in key drives late in games...He had his chances to come up big in 2012, but he failed miserably...He was literally the opposite of clutch last year, and he's pretty much been the same QB since he cooled down after that hot start in 2011...He's just not good enough...Especially against decent Defenses...Time to go...
  6. Bull... I don't think anyone here would say the Bills don't have other problems outside of QB...But if you don't think the lack of a quality QB is not the #1 problem with this team then I'm uncertain exactly which league, and team, you follow...Because this is the NFL...And in the NFL QB is King...Fitz is a slightly below average NFL QB...There is no question that upgrading the QB position will go farther in improving this Bills team than anything else...Nothing comes close...
  7. Well said...Agreed 100%... And I'd like to get rid of the 3rd biggest problem, Buddy Nix, ASAP as well...
  8. I follow as much as anyone around here...And I understand what you're saying... I'll wait to see what Scouts are saying after the Combine and the PW's...Folks have to have someone to write about right now...I'm certainly not sold on the kid...Not yet...We're talking about a BYU DE/OLB who only started 9 of 13 games, had a grand total of 4.5 Sacks, and did not force a single fumble as a Sr...I don't need uptick to tell me this is premature praise for this kid...I agree with the OP, at least right now I do...Let another team take the gamble...
  9. Not directed at you H2o...But..."All this talk." He played one Bowl Game and the Combine is 2 plus weeks away???...Who is doing all this talking? ... Nobody is moving way up due to the Sr Bowl alone...Even if he had blown the place up...Which he didn't...I would not worry much about The Bills picking him...At least not in the first couple Rounds...
  10. I definitely believe Chan maximized Fitz's abilities and hid (as much as could be hid) his deficiencies...Chan believed in Fitz like no other Coach has, or ever will for that matter...We've see the best of Fitz...And it was never good enough...
  11. The 90 Team was a rocket-ship...If the kick goes in is this really even a discussion? I do think the 99 Team was nasty...That D was awesome...But I'm going 90 FTW...
  12. Ahhh...OK my bad... Still I did notice his adjusted QB Rating was lower than most...But anyway...
  13. For those who hate actual in-depth statistical analysis on QB's, and how poorly Fitz stacks up...Please don't hit the following link...You WILL be disappointed...Again...http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=509345&start=0
  14. All that may be true...But in Buffalo I'm not certain it's actually relevant considering almost anyone, Joe B included, could have done as good if not better than Buddy with a Big Board made out of cork and a few darts...
  15. Just hoping this is not a subtle message that the problem was more with receivers, like Jones, than it was with the QB that ranked 27th in Total QB rating and consistently ranked among the leagues bottom 10 QB's in just about every way possible... Don't believe it?...http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=509345&start=0
  16. I'd like to see Manuel in the 1st (with a trade down), and another QB in the 4th...I guess Dysert would be a good possibility with that 4th Rounder...
  17. I DVR each day and save them...Then after the Draft I go back and watch it to check out the players The Bills selected a second time...
  18. Agreed...If this is true, to me at least, it's a move that is consistent with the theory at OBD that the talent is better than what we have seen on the field thus-far...And I'm not sure if I agree with that theory to be honest... I think most NFL Franchises, regardless of current Depth Chart, would move on from Fitz ...When you have a starting QB who clearly is not in the future plans of a Franchise, and has proven over and over again he's just not good enough to win consistently I think it's best to simply move on...What this move tells me is either The Bills have much more faith in Fitz than most do, or The Bills don't think they can do any better than the QB who ranked 27th in Total QB Rating... All this stuff about Fitz smarts and leadership qualities are pretty much exactly why I think the Bills need to move in another direction. There are loyalties in that locker-room...Fitz has his buddies...I think that fact could have a negative effect on the team...Especially if they decide to go with a young guy and he struggles early...I think it's best to remove that possibility from the get-go... This move would not thrill me to say the least...I'm of the mind that we need to cut ties with Fitz completely...I don't want him back under any circumstances, and this would be the 1st move by the new staff that I'll question strongly...It is however a STRONG vote of confidence for the acceptance of mediocrity at OBD...So we'll have that going for us...
  19. Well...If it was any Bills Defender and it did not get called it would be the greatest no-call in the history of Football...IMHO of course...
  20. I pretty much agree with this take...And as a BIG...I mean HUGE Stevie Johnson fan I was very, very disappointed with his comments...And I'm starting to wonder if this attitude is not far more the norm in that locker-room than any of us imagined...That would certainly explain a lot if you ask me...Like say why Marcell Dareus is 25 lbs heavier and looks nothing like the kid that sent shock-waves through the Combine two years ago...Just saying...
  21. All I know is this...If that was The Buffalo Bills defending that 4th Down play...it's PI 100% of the time...I don't care if it's pre-season, regular season, Playoffs, or the SB... And Y'all know it...
  22. Which only furthers the argument that Nix has no business being an NFL GM...The QB situation is only exhibit A...
  23. No I'm comparing the reaction of some Bills fans on TBD and the tendency...again by some not all...to ignore what we all see on the field and only think best-case-scenario from certain players...I was not comparing them as players, humans, scholars, or any such thing...But the arguments are similar...Some feel regardless of on-the-field results that these two players will get better...And what happens, like in Fitz's case, when they don't? That's all I was saying...
  24. Kaepernick, RGIII, Newton, and Wilson all have the potential to be great pocket-style passers...I think this trend has only just begun...As more and more of these kids come into the NFL, I think a couple of them will become great pocket passers...But they'll still have that Elway-like ability to kill you with their feet... I just feel we've only seen the tip of the iceberg...
  25. Well...I think if we're talking about the next ten years I'd rather have Kaepernick over a few of these older guys...But for one year that list is about right...I'd rather have both over Big Ben...That someone else you speak of may be Matt Ryan? And it's just my opinion...but I still like Cam Newton a lot... No matter though...Compared to The Bills current situation Kaepernick and Flacco are Gods...
