  1. Look...I understand what you're trying to say...But there is no way Bray has more upside than Geno...Upside is the high-end potential...Geno is not just a good, but an excellent athlete at QB with a very good arm...He has almost unlimited upside...Bray is a skinny tall kid with a great arm, especially a great deep arm...But he's slow footed...He's not going to be able to extend many plays...That's where Geno's upside surpasses Bray easily...If he becomes the QB he can based on his athletic ability he can throw it, run it, or scramble to buy time...That's a lot of upside... I'm not saying that Bray will not become a better NFL QB in time...He very well may...But if it's true upside potential were talking about Geno and Manuel are 1,2 in this Draft because they are incredible athletes along with having very good NFL arms...
  2. Exactly... Also...I'm more than willing to take the chance at being wrong about Jones...But I want nothing to do with that kid...Especially not at #8...I realize he may not have been 100% at his workout...But the injury questions, super-slow 40 time @240 lbs...I would pass and let someone else risk it...Just too many questions surrounding him... Pass...
  3. Just want to point out I've heard this is actually a VERY good, deep Draft at WR...Just not any AJ Green's in the bunch...Still a TON of talent from the mid-late 1st all the way through the 4th Round or so... I don't like Patterson at #8 overall...He's not Julio Jones, who had 3 years at Alabama, and a ton of experience coming in...I think Patterson had concentration lapses in at Tennessee, and he's a raw but very athletically talented prospect...Still...I'm not certain he's going to turn into a big-time #1 Wide Out...I think in time he could be very good if everything falls into place...But no way would I use a top 10 pick on him...I just think there is too much risk with him, at this point, to be Drafted that high...I'd much rather grab Robert Woods in the 2nd...
  4. Mayock never said Newton was going to be a bust...You're over-exaggerating...He did like Gabbert slightly more...He felt Newton was raw and that it would take time for him to pick-up the NFL Game...There were things about Newton Mayock loved...And I'm pretty certain he never used the word bust... No offense...But Mike Mayock is a million times more qualified to Scout QB's than you or I...He just is...He also has connections in the Scouting and Coaching world that you and I could not even imagine having...He's not going to be right every time...And you and I will not be wrong every time...But come on...
  5. What was it that Mayock said about Mingo at the Combine? Something about being a leader in high fives and butt slaps? He's an amazing athlete...But if he's going to be a great NFL OLB it may take some time...He simply did not have the production to match his incredible athletic ability...

  7. Well...I definitely don't want an OG at #8...That much I know for certain...I'm not crazy about any of the WR's at #8 either... It would be hard to argue with just about any pick on the Defensive side because there are so many needs...But I would not be too happy about an interior D-Lineman...I don't believe in taking Safeties in the Top 10...And outside of Milliner, I don't think any of these CB's is worthy of the #8 overall pick... I'm just hoping the Bills trade down and grab whatever QB they like most in the 1st...
  8. 1st Maybin comparison in 5...4...3...2...1...
  9. I'm a bit surprised Ramses Barden has got no attention from OBD...He seems like a match for the Bills needs and vice versa...One of the things I read about him was that he was looking for an opportunity to compete for a starting role...And Buffalo is one of the few teams that can offer that opportunity...Obviously he's not going to be too expensive...And he does have a rare size for the position...Plus he was Drafted by one of the best Scouting Departments in the NFL...I'd like to see the Bills give him a look...
  10. I'm still saying no way the Bills go OG at #8...It really makes no sense from a philosophy standpoint...And I've made this argument here already when McShay's Mock came out...These guys are just matching biggest UFA loss to BPA on their board and going with it...They're ignoring the fact that the Bills do not value the OG position the way some teams do...If they did, they would have paid Levitre...And again Buddy has said on several occasions the Bills don't Draft OG's, they Draft OT's and move them in to OG if they can't cut it on the edge...In fact even Doug Whaley said the same when asked about Cordy Glenn before the 2012 Draft... So anyway...I don't think for a second the Bills will take an OG at #8...You never want to say never, especially when Buddy is in charge...No telling what he is capable of screwing up...But I really don't believe it's a possibility...Kiper and McShay should do just a little bit of homework and look at what each team believes from a philosophy standpoint before they assign picks...If they did, their Mocks would be far more accurate...As if they care...
  11. This...His arm and accuracy are really poor...
  12. I'm uncertain how much it really matters at the end of the day...But Manuel clearly appeared to be the best Sr Bowl QB on game day...The reports I heard said that he was basically average during the week...But once they hit the field it was not even close...He looked comfortable and in control...The rest of the QB's? Not so much...Which is actually more of the norm for QB's during the Sr Bowl game... I think as far as pure upside goes Manuel is clearly the best QB in this Draft...His ceiling is the highest...Even better than Geno's ceiling which is pretty high...Manuel is just a little raw right now, but so was Cam Newton...And I realize Newton was a better prospect overall, but there were tons of Scouts questioning Newton's ability to come in and be effective right away...He was REALLY raw...Carolina ignored that, designed an Offense around Cam's strengths, and the rest is history...Meaning he actually made history as a Rookie QB... I agree with Mike Mayock 100% on this one...In this Draft every QB has question marks...If I'm going to gamble on any of these kids I'm gambling on the 6-5-237 QB who runs in the low 4.6 range and has serious arm talent...There is absolutely no question that Manuel has elite qualities...And he also has a ton to work on...But I'm comfortable with the Bills Drafting him, even at #8, more than any other QB in this Draft...I fully realize there is plenty of risk involved with Manuel...But the potential reward seems worth it in his case...I think he's going to be a hard working kid who will want to be the best...
  13. They slammed Nawrocki pretty hard on "Path To The Draft" today...Charles Davis and Daniel Jeremiah, who have both spent some time with Smith, and talked to a ton of Scouts along with folks at WVU, strongly disagreed with Nawrocki's evaluation and words...They both admitted Geno has holes in his game, he's a little soft-spoken, and that he definitely has things to work on...Charlie Casserly chimed in and said Geno did struggle a bit early in his College career, was not a great academic student, and could still be a harder worker (he pointed to his opinion that Geno is still a little soft body-wise)...But Casserly felt the biggest knock he's heard about Geno is that he may not be able to start as a Rookie...Davis and Jeremiah especially were very clear that everything they have heard, and everything they have seen with their own two eyes, makes them believe he's a hard enough worker who loves football and was a good teammate... I think Nawrocki just loves this stuff...I think he does it on purpose...He did it with Cam and now with Geno...Not that there is not a little truth behind his comments...But he goes overboard...I think he's trying to sell PFW's Draft Guide...He knows how to draw attention to his publication...
  14. Oh now that I would pay to see!!!
  15. That is nuts! Never, ever, heard that before...I've seen him a few times on NFL Network and he seems like a real good guy...Smart, stand-up type...In fact when I heard he was going to be a UFA I was really hoping the Bills would get involved...Then I heard he only wanted to go to either the Saints or the 49ers...Good grief that Niners roster is looking good is it not?
  16. Wow! From $60 mil for 5 years with the Eagles in 2011 to this! Incredible...
  17. Well... Then there's this...http://articles.philly.com/2013-04-01/sports/38165483_1_chip-kelly-e-j-manuel-geno-smith So...Maybe not...
  18. Really?...I mean...really?
  19. Exactly...Especially when you consider that fact that the Bills only had one true NT...And he's missed the better part of the past two years with back issues...Considering that point, it's a huge signing... I pretty much assume with Pettine's system the Bills will manufacture more pressure on the QB...But defending the run...without a true NT...is an entirely different story...For 3 years now teams have lined up and run the ball right at they heart of the Bills Defense with not just good, but at times tremendous success...Was some of that LB's missing tackles and blowing their gap assignments? No doubt about it... But it was also Dareus, Williams, or whoever else was in the middle getting owned at times... So anyway...Nothing wrong with bringing in someone who can help plug up the middle...Especially with Troup's future in as much doubt as his actual ability to be effective...And I consider any move that will keep KW, and Dareus, off the Nose to be in the Bills best interest...
  20. It has it's flaws...
