  1. NFL Network streams their coverage...They had two different stream feeds for the Combine...It was awesome!!! I'm pretty sure WGR has extensive coverage on all three days...You can always find stations that are streaming ESPN's radio coverage...
  2. I'd rather be hung by my...well...you know...than listen to Sanders and Irvin talk about anything...And I mean anything...Football related or not...Those two grind on my last nerve...They are absolutely stealing money from The NFL Network...They suck...Sanders more than Irvin IMHO...But I think they both stink...
  3. I have one on each TV...DVR both so I can go back and watch the commentary when the Bills pick...I like NFL Network a bit more...But not by much...I think they both do some things well...I like Kiper and Mayock...I really do like both of them...But I also think both networks give too much air time to dumb stuff like Coaches interviews (especially on Day #3), and those incredibly dumb 1st Draft things NFL Network does with the prospects posing like models...UGH! I hate that crap!!! I would much rather they stick to talking about the picks, the teams, and the players remaining...There is no reason they can't do this either...Mayock and Kiper know every single player Drafted...There's plenty to talk about...Instead you get way too much filler garbage...again...especially on Day 3...
  4. It was NFL Network... And it was not so much that the discussion was about how the Bills can finish better than last...It was more about how the best the Bills can hope for is to not finish last...With the assumption being they would probably finish last because all this team ever does is let their good players walk because they refuse to pay them... I should also point out that it's not my assumption whatsoever that the Patriots are a given to win the Division...I feel if Manuel plays well enough the Bills have the talent to knock the Pats off their throne...I realize full well I'm in the minority on that one...In my previous post I was referring to the conversations among the talking heads being that it's a given the Pats will finish in 1st...If I can paraphrase what Daniel Jeremiah said the other day on Path to The Draft it was basically forget about the Patriots winning the Division...That is a given...The 2014 season is about if the Patriots can win the SB...So...To me at least...It's a given that all the experts will feel the best any AFC East team can do is finish 2nd to the Pats...So I'm not expecting anyone to consider the Bills for 1st place...Hope that explains where I'm coming from on this...Admittedly this crap bothers me more than it does most people...
  5. That's fine for the average NFL fan with collective IQ's in the single digits...I get that...I even expect it... But for paid analysts I do expect more...And I don't expect glowing praise either...I simply expect for them to be more thorough and not take the easy way out the way most numb-nuts will...To say the Bills are just a bunch of losers is no where even remotely close to telling the whole story...And I seriously doubt the 5 teams they beat last year (Miami twice of course), or the three other teams that beat them by a FG on the last play of the game, feel the Bills are nothing more than a bunch of 6-10 losers...That's how close the Bills were to being 9-7 and finishing 2nd in the AFC East...Three last-play-of-the-game FG's...I'm certain that's worthy of conversation more favorable than..."The only question for the Bills is can they avoid finishing in last place..." That's all I'm saying... Objectively I don't see any reason the Bills can't legitimately compete with Miami and the Jets for 2nd in the AFC East...I really don't see how anyone can see it differently unless they simply want to say the Bills always find a way to lose and that's that...But I expect more in depth analysis from paid ex-pros...Maybe it's just me...Maybe it's just easier to blame the Flutie curse and move on...
  6. Exactly...I thought I was negative about this team... Good grief... The other day The NFL Network was focusing on the AFC East and basically only asking if the Bills can avoid being in last place again...I mean...OK...I understand NE is the favorite and that's the end of that conversation...But the Bills were 3-1 vs the Jets and Miami last year...They beat Miami twice with Thad Lewis at QB and shut them out the 2nd time...And they were probably one Justin Rogers away from sweeping those two teams...So...Is the question really what can the Bills do to stay out of last place? Or instead is it can the Bills do enough this off season to pass the Jets and Miami?... Then there's Charley Casserly who is just giving his opinion but it was overblown especially considering the fact that EJ did have some success as a Rookie in only 10 games...And Daniel Jeremiah, who I like a lot...But the guy is completely and totally oblivious to the fact that the Bills signed Brandon Spikes this off season...He has brought up the Bills drafting a MLB about 100 times and has not mentioned Spikes name once...Jeremiah is usually MUCH more thorough...I know because there is not a single Path To The Draft, or almost any NFL Network show I have missed over the past two years...Most of them I DVR and watch twice...I just don't get it with Jeremiah ignoring the Spikes signing...At least mention it for Christ's sake...Then there's this...When they talk about the Bills losing Byrd with guys like Willie McGinest it's like the end of the freaking world...But when they talk about the biggest Free Agency moves this off season in the NFC South, and ask McGinest along with a few other ex-jocks, not a single one even mentions Byrd...Not one! Not a peep...So what is it Willie? I mean surely if it's that big a loss for the Bills it has to be one of the more significant pick-ups in the NFC South...Right?... Look I can be as negative as anyone about this team...My record here on this board is proof positive of that fact...But I think the Bills have had a very good off season all things considered...I think there are three (main) factors that will determine if they can push NE, and yes they can push NE if these three things happen...One...EJ has to play better and play 14-16 games...The better EJ plays the less important all remaining factors become...And I mean all...Two...In order for EJ to be more effective the Bills have to run the ball better when they want to run it, especially when they run it on 1st down...Three...They have to play better, more consistent, Defense vs run...That's it...Plain and simple...Do those three things only and they will win more close games and push for a playoff spot...They have the overall talent...Now they simply need to rough out some edges and get better play at the most important position in the NFL...
  7. It's interesting because Charlie Casserly was literally going off on NFL Network yesterday about how scouts and GM's base their picks almost entirely on the tape, and almost none on workouts...He did say with QB's it's a little different because you want to see the velocity of the ball and how it comes out of their hands close up...But still he said the tape is by far the main thing scouts go off...If that is true than Bridgewater could not lose too much steam because he's got the best tape...Especially as a pocket-passer...But I do think Manziel has moved ahead of Bridgewater with some teams...And I still think Houston takes either Manziel or Bortles at #1 overall...But we'll see...Charles Davis said at least a few teams are talking about Carr in the top 10...So the more it changes the more it stays the same...
  8. That may or may not be true...But the reality is that TJ Graham is at best the 4th or 5th WR on this roster...I would certainly give Flash the edge over Graham for that #4 WR spot...I'm sure most Bills fans would...The Bills will likely only keep 6 WR's again, and that 6th spot is all but locked up by Easley due to his Special teams play...Furthermore the Bills have Hogan and Ramses Bardon who have NFL experience along with any other WR they pick up in the Draft or Undrafted Free Agent... So anyway...Losing Graham is not a big loss for this team...He's shown limited upside...It would not be a big deal...
  9. He's definitely not an idiot... But it seems as if this group he's involved with has made it pretty clear (through back channels at the very least) that they have no interest in keeping the team in Buffalo...Though he did not want to say too much, you can tell by Poloncarz's words there is some serious dislike for Bon Jovi among those who want to keep the team in WNY...So...I'm uncertain why any Bills fan would not take him seriously...And they seriously want to hate the guy right now...And as far as I'm concerned he deserves it...So...Let em'
  10. They certainly chewed EJ up pretty well on "Path To The Draft..." Casserly was the most critical...But all agreed he was no where near the top 3-4 QB prospects in this Draft...We'll see I guess...I think they were a little overly-critical to be honest...But maybe that's just the Bills fan in me...
  11. That hurt my eyes...But I read it anyway...
  12. I hope you're right...But I think it's looking like Matthews at #6 to Atlanta, and Evans at #7 to Tampa is not only possible, they seem to be the favorites to those teams in their local media...Both picks make a lot of sense...I think if anyone falls to the Bills that is not supposed to fall it will be Mack...
  13. My All Time favorite wrestler... Very saddened to hear this... RIP Warrior...You were one of a kind...
  14. I completely agree with this take...But more importantly I think Whaley and Marrone agree...The team needs balance...They need to be able to sustain drives and run more effectively, especially when the opposing Defense knows they want to run it...They need to keep adding weapons and blockers...A couple more sustained drives in each game last year and the results would have been surprisingly different...We're close on Defense, especially with the additions this off season...We need to get better on Offense around EJ so we can figure out if he's going to be the answer long-term...That's why I believe the Bills would prefer to upgrade the RT position first and foremost...If they can't do that at #9 I think they look to trade down, or they just go ahead and take Ebron...
  15. There is way more to these stories than what you just sighted...And despite what we all may want to believe the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle...In no way am I saying everything in all these links is true and factual...But it seems a bit far fetched to believe Lewan was 100% innocent of these things as well...Maybe he was...Maybe everyone is just picking on the 6-7-310 guy...Could be...It happens... http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/The-red-flag-report-Taylor-Lewan.html http://www.washtenawwatchdogs.com/4/post/2013/08/the-cover-up-of-the-arrest-of-university-of-michigan-football-player-brendan-gibbons-for-rape.html http://www.mlive.com/news/ann-arbor/index.ssf/2014/01/brendan_gibbons_was_arrested_i.html http://thebiglead.com/2014/02/25/michigan-faces-federal-investigation-over-brendan-gibbons-rape-allegation-response/ http://ohiostate.247sports.com/Article/Michigans-Lewan-Accused-Of-Assault-167623
  16. I think there is a growing chance Mack could slide to #9 based on team needs...It obviously has nothing to do with Mack as a prospect...But IF those 3 QB's go in the top 8, IF Mike Evans goes to Tampa, and IF Atlanta takes Matthews at #6, suddenly Mack falling to the Bills is a REAL possibility... I would expect the Bills to take Mack as well...It's obvious they like the kid a lot...Though I really question whether or not they want to take him based on what they need for this team in 2014...And I think if Mack is there at #9 some team is going to be willing to give up a pretty nice package to come up and get him...So that would be very interesting to see...It's a no-lose situation for the Bills if Mack falls into their lap...
  17. I hear you Kirby...Believe me there is nothing I would like more than to be able to fully endorse Lewan...But in good conscious I can't...Though I do believe he'll be just fine on the field...I only hope that if in fact the Bills take him he's learned his lessons and becomes someone you can trust off the field...
  18. I've read just about everything there is to read about the two separate off-the-field issues concerning Lewan...And he has had some issues on the field with dirty play and penalties as well...No question the kid can be very special if he is able to mature...But if not, who knows what kind of trouble he can get in?...It's a really tough call IMHO...But more than anything...If in fact these assaults in which he has been formally charged with now actually happened...That means Lewan stood in front of every NFL team and the entire world at the Combine and lied through his teeth...That possibility bothers me more than anything...I just have doubts about the kids character...He talks a great game...But there's some serious smoke here...And you know the saying...
  19. I could end up being wrong no question...But I just don't see the Bills Drafting a LB high...They signed two LB's in free agency, and NFL teams are only playing one or two LB's on almost 60% of Defensive downs...Lawson and Bradham are back-ups now...And Whaley seems to be high on Ty Powell...A Rookie LB is not going to play much at all barring a serious injury...And even though Spikes is only signed for a year using a 1st round pick in case he moves on does not seem to be the smartest way to build a roster IMHO...I'm not against Drafting a LB, I'd just rather it was a mid round pick...
  20. IMHO Lewan will be there...It all depends on how the Bills view his off-the-field stuff...I've been pretty vocal about my worries concerning Lewan...I should just shut up about it... ...And I am a 20 plus year Michigan fan...There is no question in my mind that Lewan could be a very special OT...I think he's a bit more athletic version of Nate Solder (And that's a good thing btw)...But the off the field stuff with him simply does not sit well with me...I can't even give you a definitive reason because it goes beyond the stories and what he's been charged with...I want to, but I just don't trust him I guess...It's just a weird feeling I get about him...I kind of get an Incognito vibe...But admittedly that could be just me...And if the Bills take Lewan I will be hoping beyond hope that he enjoys great success on and off the field...We'll see I guess...
  21. Martin's arm length is really not that bad...Apparently he was mismeasured at one point before the Combine and it started this whole issue about short arms...His arm length is really not bad at all considering he's 6-4...Martin's reach is 32 7/8"...Lewan is 3 inches taller and has an inch longer reach (33 7/8")...Matthews is 6-5 1/2 and has a 33 3/8" reach...So anyway...I don't like Martin at #9 either...But in a trade down I think he's a viable option...He's a very solid player and a big-time character guy...I think he'll do well at RT...He's just a solid football player...
  22. Gigantic? Nah...I'm not saying it's close to a given either...It's definitely less than 50/50...Atlanta is the wildcard team in this whole thing...No question they are a prime spot for Matthews to go...
  23. That really sucks for the kid...And he's a guy I had my eye on because although he projects to OG he did play a lot of OT in College so he could provide nice depth for some team...
  24. He shouldn't...But he may if all 3 QB's go top 8, and Mike Evans goes #7 to Tampa...Of course that's assuming Clowney, Robinson, Watkins, and Mack also go top 8... If the three QB's and Evans go top 8 then either Mack or Matthews slides to #9... I still think at the end of the day Robinson is going to be the best player from this entire Draft...And I do think he has Orlando Pace potential...He's a nasty dude...
