  1. Totally agree...It's like these people pay no attention...And I'm not saying I know this for certain...But I kinda doubt Rex would love any Draft combination this year that had us going 2 out of 3 on Offense...This Defense has some major holes still...
  2. I'm confused...I though Hogan was the next Eddleman? Or is it Amendola?... Welker?... Nevermind... Daniel Jeremiah was talking about him on the last "Move The Sticks" show...He said one scout told him Braverman was their big-time sleeper but asked him not to mention it...Then another scout mentioned him...then another...He said he's no secret really...Jeremiah thinks he goes no later than the 4th Round...
  3. Not trying trying to ninja your post...But without even counting I know there are at least 10-12 D-Linemen I would take over Decker in this Draft...And I'm not saying he's a bad prospect...But I don't think there's a snowballs chance in Hades he'll be the BPA at #19...There would have to be a massive run on D-Linemen...And even then maybe not... Agreed... But I also think it just happens to line up this year...This D-line group is loaded with talent...It should be a win-win for Rex...
  4. He's also the biggest boom or bust... His production is no where near what it should be based on his athletic ability...There's off the field issues...He's a tough call...So is Spence (less for his on-the-field though)... If either of them slid to #49 then it's a no-brainer...But in this Draft...When you are seemingly going to have multiple options at D-line in the 1st that look like much "safer" picks, I just don't know about those two...
  5. And upgrade at RT is definitely a need...But it's not exactly pressing if Henderson is healthy...And it's certainly not the biggest need on this team...No way...
  6. They're a blast and I've been well beyond addicted since last years Draft!!!
  7. I know I pay to much attention to stuff like this...But seriously? Arkush gets paid for this stuff? I read mock picks like that one and think there has to be an agenda behind it...Give the Bills a guy they would never take to have someone slide past #19 that never would...The Bills were 8-8 last year...They have real holes in this roster at D-Line and this is a great D-Line Draft...They have holes at LB, S, WR, and O-Line depth...They have two QB's in the last year of their deals...And have been mostly shut out of Free Agency...Sure, I guess they could use another CB for depth...But let's take a 3rd CB at #19 just in case we can't sign Gilmore?...Because we're just that good and that deep...Good grief...Does Arkush think this is the 1990 Bills? Dumb... I don't mind it...
  8. Agreed...If there is a run on D-line who knows? And that can happen for sure...But I think teams that are a bit desperate for Offense are going to figure they better grab who they want in the 1st...Because it's thinner...So I'm thinking a player like Spence...Maybe even Kevin Dodd or Shaq Lawson...will slide through...It's SO interesting this year...The talent at D-line/3-4 OLB is impressive to say the least...If the Bills were to grab 2 players from that position group at #19, and #49...and they hit on both...This Defense becomes really, really nasty in the front 7...
  9. 19: R1P19 DE KEVIN DODD CLEMSON 49: R2P18 DT CHRIS JONES MISS. ST. 80: R3P17 WR TYLER BOYD PITTSBURGH 117: R4P19 QB CARDALE JONES OHIO ST. 139: R4P41 CB RASHARD ROBINSON LSU 156: R5P17 S TYVIS POWELL OHIO ST. 192: R6P17 OLB TERRANCE SMITH FLORIDA ST. 218: R6P43 ILB ANTONIO MORRISON FLORIDA I tried one with Dodd at #19...No matter how many times I run a mock in this Draft I love the first two picks while concentrating on the D-Line...This Draft is crazy top-heavy with D-line talent...There is going to be a REAL good player available at #49 this year...I don't think there is any doubt about it...
  10. Blazed a 4.5 at Indy...At 244 lbs...That's crazy...
  11. I just don't see it...I know it's a need...it's debatable how big a need it is...But in the 1st? The way this Defense struggled at times, then lost Mario and Bradham...Kyle Williams is not getting any younger...Have to say I would not be happy with a WR at #19...That's an understatement...In fact...If the Bills go Offense...I'm really only OK with Paxton Lynch...Assuming the other 2 QB's are gone of course... I could be wrong of course...But I think Spence is going to slide a bit...It's not really even about the trouble he had (which seems to be behind him), or the 40 time...There are just SO many solid D-Linemen in this Draft...If he was running steady in the 4.6 range then maybe...But I just have a feeling he's going to get squeezed into the 2nd round...I'd LOVE to get him at #49 though! That would be awesome...
  12. What's not to like? Nice move...The Bills need LB depth desperately...261 TT's, 10 sacks and 6 INT's in basically 3 years (32 starts) is certainly not terrible...
  13. My plan is pretty simple...Build Defensive Depth...Get a QB by the 4th Rd...Hope a decent WR falls to the 3rd...I was pretty happy with this Draft...I think Rankins teamed with Dareus would be scary...So I jumped at the chance to take him at #19...I wanted a DE/OLB Pass Rusher and even though I doubt he'll be there at #50 I took Correa in this mock... 19: R1P19 DT SHELDON RANKINS LOUISVILLE 49: R2P18 OLB KAMALEI CORREA BOISE STATE 80: R3P17 WR WILL FULLER NOTRE DAME 117: R4P19 QB DAK PRESCOTT MISSISSIPPI STATE 139: R4P41 OLB DE'VONDRE CAMPBELL MINNESOTA 156: R5P17 S KAVON FRAZIER CENTRAL MICHIGAN 192: R6P17 CB ARTIE BURNS MIAMI (FL) 218: R6P43 G JOE DAHL WASHINGTON STATE
  14. I like this sort of pair up at #19 and #49...And I think Jones will be there at #19...I doubt Correa will be around at #49 though... At #19 I would be thrilled with Sheldon Rankins, A'Shawn Robinson, or Shaq Lawson...But I expect them all to be gone...I'm definitely OK with Andrew Billings, Ogbah, Vernon Butler, or Jones...And I think the pick will be one of those four...I'm not as high on Jarran Reed as some, I think his ceiling is a bit limited...But I think if you want a base-down run stopper you're not going to do much better...I'd rather not touch Nkemdiche...How can he be that kind of athlete with that little production? No thanks...And I think the "sleeper" pick at #19 is Kevin Dodd... Another note about the Bills in the 1st Round...With this much D-Line talent likely available at #19, assuming there is not a crazy run, you have to believe Whaley is going to be VERY open to trading down a few spots...The Bills have been all but locked out of Free Agency due to the cap...They have depth holes all over the roster...Extra picks, especially this year, are never a bad thing... At #49 I'm really hoping for Kyler Fackrell...But if a player like Noah Spence, or Correa, slides down...then great!!! No matter what I'd like the Bills to come out of the first two rounds with a DT/3-4DE, and a DE/3-4 OLB...I know some folks want a true LB...But I think you can get decent players to fill that roll later in the Draft...The Bills already have Dareus, KW, and Hughes in their D-Front...Adding two more talented rookies should shore up Rex's D...And that makes the Bills far more dangerous this year... Did I say how much I love the Draft?...
  15. I get what you're saying, but where the Bills are concerned specifically does it really matter? The Bills needed a DT desperately and passed on an absolute monster...And he was not a sleeper, unknown monster...He was a Pac 10 Defensive Player Of The Year/Consensus 1st Team All American monster...We all know who they should have Drafted instead of Whitner...I was literally jumping up and down in my LR chanting Ngata!!! Ngata!!! Ngata!!! Then I had a heart attack when the pick was announced... I could care less about any other prospect in that draft not named Ngata...That should have been the pick...End of story... I realize that's not Whitner's fault though...
  16. I'd LOVE to see Butler and Dareus team up for years to come...Butler is the guy I want most for the Bills...
  17. Glad to hear you're taking good care of yourself Bill... We should always strive to be in the best shape possible seeing as though The Bills are going to try to kill all of us again this year...
  18. Well now...That's pretty timely...We could use a few more this year to be honest...Cheap labor...
  19. I'd have to go with #83 or #34 due to value... But the best player drafted was #78...
  20. The is no Franchise in the semi-recent history of NFL football that wins the off season more than the fish...Year in and year out...They are the best... Till week #1...
  21. It's possible you're right...It's also possible at 31 Mario is on a swift downwards path...It happens to really good D-Linemen all the time when they reach his age... We'll just have to see...But I think, based on last season, assuming Miami got better and the Bills got worse is far from determined yet...
