Bills to trade Kiko Alonso for LeSean McCoy
KOKBILLS replied to CNY315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hate seeing Kiko go... But this is an amazing move for the Bills Franchise... Shady is just so good... Things just got real interesting... -
That's 2 and a half pages too deep for my attention span...

Just read this...Thought it was interesting... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/03/03/c-j-spiller-ej-manuel-was-too-buddy-buddy-with-other-players/

Agreed... While I'm a big Hughes fan the fact is any DE would LOVE to be the 4th guy on that line...And it's impossible to tell how much that factors into Hughes production...So...Once the dollars get high it's an easy argument that letting him walk, and using the money elsewhere, will be the better move...
-
Agreed... I was just trying to say I was not sure...On ability alone he's definitely worthy of a nice deal... And I'm 100% on board with kicking those tires...
-
Very interesting... He would be a welcome addition...Not sure what the market will be for him considering his age...But no question our OG situation would be solved with Blalock and Incognito... Talk about an upgrade from 2014...

I would not be happy with this whatsoever... It's just dumb...And I'm certainly not the biggest EJ backer in the world... But in his 14 starts...at the very least...I think EJ has shown the ability to be a better-than-average back-up QB...And if the kid can ever figure out how to hit open receivers in stride he'll be a top 15 QB in this league easy... Now...I'm not saying EJ will even be able to fix his one glaring weakness...But IMHO it's pretty much his only glaring weakness...If he can fix the too low, too high, behind the receiver-thing EJ would actually be a pretty decent NFL QB...And after only 14 starts and two seasons I can't see why the Bills would give up on the kid already...Especially considering by all accounts he's a good kid, a good teammate, and likes it in Buffalo...

Do we draft a running back in round 2 or resign CJ?

Totally agree...And Sproles just got 3 years, $10.5... -

I know Sal Capaccio , who knows CJ pretty well, has said on several different occasions that Spiller really wants to stay in Buffalo...Sal has made a point to say it's not just hollow speech by Spiller...He really does like it here a lot... So I do think these comments by CJ are legit and heartfelt... I also think Whaley knows this and is assuming the market for Spiller (especially in a year that has some nice RB talent coming out) will be low...So he's going to stick to his guns and hope CJ decides to take their best offer because he wants to stay... -
Bills interested in re-signing Jarius Wynn,Larry Dean

That whole 2nd team D-line played well last year...It seemed like one of them would come up with a big play just about every game... -

The CJ thing is interesting to me...I just don't think there will be a big market for him dollars-wise, though I think a lot of teams would like to have him as a piece of a back-field puzzle...I think CJ has some value and I would like to see him return...But I also think he should be used like Darren Sproles...And other than age, I'd rather have Sproles...Sproles got 10.5 mil. for three years...Can CJ expect much more? -
Two plays changed everything for two quarterbacks
KOKBILLS replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To be specific it was illegal contact and probably PI...There was technically no hold...But there was three chucks to Woods shoulder then the defender put both hands on him while cutting off his progress to the ball...And with all that Woods still comes within a few inches of touching the ball...Considering all the contact that is actually a bit impressive... I still have the vine of that play...It amazes me every time I watch it...It was just so blatant...It almost looks like the DB was coached to take the penalty in order to assure Woods could not get passed him in the seam...Still pisses me off... -
The previously recorded and ran interview at the end of the show always stuck me as odd...I'm glad someone else noticed...
-
I'd take (a healthy) VJ in a half-a-heartbeat...Our top 4 would be awfully impressive with Sammy, Woods, VJ, and Hogan... All depends on what you can get him for...If all the vet WR's hit the market like it's being rumored things could get interesting...I think the Bills have to spend elsewhere first...But if they can land a guy like Jackson at a bargain rate why not?

Pretty much this ^^^

With all due respect (and I swear I'm not trying to be a jerk about this) there is no one in the NFL that is more illusive than Russell Wilson...period...Wilson is all but Flutie-like in terms of escape-ability...And his feel for pressure from the pass rush is second to none...Comparing Taylor to Wilson all but kills almost any argument you have because it is so glaringly inaccurate... Wilson made a HUGE...I mean massive leap as a passer in his Sr year at Wisconsin when he completed 72.8% of his passes and that carried him right into the big leagues...In 3 years as an NFL Starter Wilson has completed 63.4% of his passes...And he can throw almost any pass extremely well...Deep, medium, touch-pass, screen... Taylor has never been a 60% passer, even in College...These things almost never improve in the NFL... No thanks...

LeBatard is entertainment...He's not Sports talk and he readily admits it...He literally says if you're looking for serious Sports Talk you are listening to the wrong show...He also addresses the folks who complain about it quite often and says that's what they do and that's what their show is about...It's not a Sports Talk show...It's a radio talk show that happens to have a lot of Sports interviews...That's all... BTW...I think LeBatard can be extremely funny at times...I enjoy the change...And the Wiley segments are gold...

Report: Broncos could part ways with Manning
KOKBILLS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Totally agree... I've had a torn quad...More than once...Manning is less than mobile as it is...I don't know how he managed...I'm pretty certain that had something to do with his decline late in the year...Even so...Even with a torn quad he was better than anything the Bills had... -

Looks like Hardy will be on the market and available once Free Agency starts... http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12300188/charges-vs-greg-hardy-carolina-panthers-tossed Still could be a suspension though...

Bills to go in little-talked-about direction at QB?

Thanks for making me feel older than I already felt... -
Agreed...Rice seemed to be crashing into the vet RB wall before the incident...

KOKBILLS replied to RalphOP83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm all for second chances...People can change...Even meat-head bullies... That being said it all depends what player you're going to get...He'll be 32 when the season starts...He's been out of football for well over a year...His best season was 2012, but his play dropped for those 8 games in 2013... Looking at the Bills OG play from 2014 it's easy to assume that Incognito would bring a large upgrade, but I'm uncertain that will actually be the case...Expecting a 32 year old OG to come in and make a huge impact is a bit of a stretch...That being said, what can it hurt? Assuming the guy has learned his lessons of course... -
All time dumbest playcall in a Super Bowl with game on line
KOKBILLS replied to patfitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly...Expecting this kid to be Dez Bryant to the ball is a bit of a stretch to say the least...Especially considering the fact that, at least IMHO, Lynch was gong to get in that end-zone come hell or high water if he got the ball...Or at the very least...if you want to get cute...run some kind of fake/boot with Wilson having options... This was just a stupid call and there's really no explaining it...If for no other reason then the fact that your asking your 5-11 QB to make a pinpoint pass in traffic at the goal-line against a team with some very talented DB's...So much can go wrong...It was just terrible, and I'm still amazed it happened...
