  1. Agreed... I was in the best-O-line-available camp going in...But I think the subtraction of Collins threw that whole thing out-of-whack...And I wonder if there will be an O-lineman at #50 worthy of that pick...I expect Fisher, Smith, and Clemmings to be gone from 33-49...And after that I'd rather see who slides into the 3rd Round (maybe an OG like A.J. Cann or Tre' Jackson?)... I think there is going to be some very nice Defensive talent available at #50...And that's where I'm expecting the Bills to go...Assuming Randy Gregory's slide is almost over, the player I'm most intrigued with at this point for the Bills is DE Danielle Hunter...I'm guessing if either of the Collins DB's, or Eric Rowe fall to #50 the Bills will go that route...ILB's Perryman and McKinney are also possible... This is going to be fun to watch...I really have no idea...
  2. Bills trade down a little and take the O-Lineman they like best when they finally pick in the late 2nd...Probably Cann...
  3. OK...Now this is getting interesting...
  4. Surprised...There is no greater Patsie lover than Evans... Interesting...
  5. I've been saying this forever...If EJ fixes one thing...one thing...he'll be a top 15, maybe even top 10 QB in the NFL... And that one thing is this...When he picks the right receiver...the open receiver... he's got to hit them in stride...If he does nothing else but that it will be a massive step in the right direction... No more too low, too high, behind throws...In stride to the open receiver...And then we'll have something...
  6. Not saying I know, but I kind of doubt that... I think it's all about the fact that Spikes is going to be a situational player on this Defense and the Bills have a clear understanding of what they are willing to pay for it...And...of course...Spikes would like more...At least until he's sure he can't actually get more...That's all... Rex knows Defense and he knows a good player when he sees one...Spikes may have a limited area of expertise, but he's pretty darn good in that area, and furthermore it worked last year...Rex is no dummy when it comes to understanding Defensive talent...Plus Spikes was a Captain on a REAL good Defensive football team... I don't think there's any way Whaley says publicly that the Bills are going to reach out to Spikes unless Rex wants him...It's all about how he slots into the cap based on what he does...But again, I doubt Rex has much of a problem with what Spikes does best...
  7. True... I did like the fact that Rex readily admitted the obvious...That teams are going to stack the box and try to take the run game away...Because it is obvious...and it will happen until the Bills QB (whoever it may be) makes them pay for it with consistency... I would be far more concerned if we heard nothing but ground and pound...bully offense talk constantly...Because this is the NFL...And teams WILL adjust...We've seen it here year after year...If you can't be balanced you're in trouble...I think the Bills have peppered this offense with players that bring balance and match-up issues for defenses...So for me it's not so much about what Rex is saying (he'll never shut up regardless... ), the truth is in what they are doing to build a diverse offense in the absence of a franchise QB...
  8. He's literally the definition of a d-bag...
  9. This is a good thing... There is no NFL analyst I respect less than LaCanfora...He's a complete hack...So...Good!
  10. Maybe it's too much to ask to get Spikes back to play a small percentage of snaps...But still...I want the guy back...I think he made a difference...
  11. Truer words are rarely written here... While I have the same reservations as most sane Bills fans about EJ, I'm holding out hope he can improve...Especially in the area of accuracy, and specifically hitting open receivers in stride when he's made a good read... With the other things we know EJ can do athletically...IF he can step up, make some big plays every game, and protect the ball, this team becomes legitimately dangerous...
  12. I've said all along he should be used like Darren Sproles...Now Peyton has a chance to do just that...
  13. Really want Spikes back... I think he added just the right attitude to our run D... Maybe it's just me but I think his influence was key last season...
  14. Listened to Whaley's interview on John Murphy tonight...He teased big plans...I wondered about Revis instantly when he said it... NFL Network...mainly ex-teammate Tomlinson...seem obsessed with Revis going back to NYC and his love for it there... Would hate to see him stay in the AFC East if he's not in Buffalo...That would suck...
  15. Agreed... I too was excited about Bulaga...But he's been up and down...Difference is, unlike CJ, he was mostly up right before becoming a UFA...
  16. I have no idea how accurate this is...But according to overthecap.com McLovin brings a $2.9 mil Cap savings if traded or cut pre June 1st...$3.9 mil if cut after June 1st... Also according to the same site Urbik and C. Williams bring a total of around $5.5 mil in savings after June 1st, but only around $3 mil combined if cut prior to June 1st...
  17. It seems a bit ridiculous to even think about bringing Revis in...Especially at the price he's almost certain to demand... But thinking about this Defense with the addition of Revis...Oh my...That would really be something...
  18. Well... It's probably directed more at the "big contract" part than anything... Smith does a decent job at what he's asked to do...But I'm uncertain what kind of "big contract" he can receive based on what he brings...
