Why would the Miami area want to see the Jets vs. San Fran as opposed to two teams fighting for the same wild card spot the Dolphins are?

I'm guessing any injury to RG3, whether in practice or not, really couldn't be considered "unforeseen" at this point. I'm pretty sure we all see it coming, it's just a matter of when.

They beat the Jets twice last year. Take out the games vs. the Bills and that Jets team was 10-4 against everybody else. That's a better team than the Bills. That being said, I don't disagree with you that coaching is a big issue, I just don't see them pulling the plug. If the Bills manage to get to 8 wins this season (which they should) that will be just the 6th time in their 17 year playoff drought that they were .500 or better. Two of those came under Rex. He'll also be the only coach who was .500 or better in that time. As sad as that is, it's likely to be enough to keep him on board.

And that they don't have to overpay FA's because of it. They also get their HoF QB at below market pay.

Yeah, I just did it with the Bills at 8-8. It didn't require the Browns to win a game but it did require the Jags getting some wins vs. Colts and Titans.

Actually, 9-7 (with a loss to the Steelers) and the Bills can still get in...and it's not crazily farfetched. Nowhere near likely, but not some crazy scenario like we need the Jags or Browns to start beating people. If the Pats win out, the Raiders win their last 3, the Chiefs win their last 3 and the Steelers beat the Ravens the Bills chances of getting into the playoffs with a 9-7 record, according to the NY Times Playoff Simulator (which is awesome btw) is 75%. That's only if the Bills 7th loss is to the Steelers. The main thing they'd need after that is the Ravens losing again (either to the Eagles or Bengals). That happens and the Bills playoff chances are above 90%. If the Texans or Colts lose any other game the Bills are pretty much in. So the Bills are really relying on the Pats, Raiders and Chiefs to win games for them. If you had to rely on 3 teams to help you out, those are pretty good choices. Of course, while none of these games individually is that far fetched having them all occur is very unlikely. But still, as a Bills fan this is pretty much all you have left at the end of a season. So I partake in figuring out how sh*tty the Bills can be and still get into the playoffs.

I either want better than Tyrod or worse than Tyrod. Better gets the Bills in the playoffs, worse gets the Bills a better chance at landing a franchise guy with a high draft pick. Tyrod is purgatory.

One of the (many) disappointing things from yesterday was the Bills hurry up offense. WTF were they doing? They're down 2 scores with less than 5 minutes left and their "hurry up" offense couldn't get the snap off until about 10 seconds left on the play clock. It was just pathetic.

The OP is right, there just aren't that many players on the team that I can get behind. Nobody like Fred Jackson or any of the great players from the 90s. I just can't have a "favorite" if he's a recent FA signing and people identify that player with another team more so than with the Bills. I tend to lean toward the draft picks because of this. Kyle is the only guy that I have a true affinity for. As for other guys I love the way Sammy plays and, if he can stay healthy, he's a guy I could see becoming a favorite in the near future. I've always liked Gilmore as well. He's a guy who just goes out and does his job without all the talking that seems to come from many talented CBs. I've never understood the grief he gets from some of the fan base.

They should be able to get decent pressure while sending just 4 most of the time. They've shown recently that they just cant. I'm with you on the dropping 8 though. It's done way too often and in critical situations too.

They haven't rushed the passer well the past, oh, 6 weeks or so either. The two are connected.

The problem isn't what the other teams need to do. I have no doubt that if the Bills ran the table they'd get in. The problem is that the Bills have almost a zero chance of running the table. My guess is 8-8 here we come.

Rushing him into the game when he's not ready is not a way of being him along. The coaches see him every day, they know where he stands. They think he's good enough to be inactive every Sunday.

Funny as hell people are talkin smack against Watkins. On the telecast alone we saw two plays where he was WIDE open for an easy TD if the throw was accurate or thrown at all. I wonder how many there will be once someone looks at the 22.
