  1. The issue I have with posts like this (and there are lots) is that people seem to believe there is one magical "THE problem." The Bills have lots of problems. Yes, D is one of them. Its been a major factor in the Bills struggles this year. But the D being a problem doesn't prevent TT from being one too. They are not mutually exclusive. I have not been happy with TT's play this season but I'd actually be okay with giving him one more year to see how he does with a healthy WR corps around him. The problem is they can't just give him one more year, they have to make a decision that negatively impacts their cap in a significant way for 3 seasons. Has anybody seen enough from TT to justify a 3 year cap commitment? Hell, I'd rather slap the franchise tag on him and overpay him for one season that kill the cap for 3.
  2. One team still hasn't: The Bills.
  3. The history of everybody else who ever played the game. Most high end athletes are "obsessed by their health." Father time is undefeated. Brady will not play at a high level until 45. The drop off is always unexpected and almost always steep. It will hit him and sooner than he (or you) thinks.
  4. If you don't like something other posters are doing why do it? You're not "holding up a mirror" you're contributing to the problem.
  5. Not a fan of the guy or the job he's done with the Rams but even after all these crappy seasons of late he still has a winning record as a head coach.
  6. If the Bills find a way to win Sunday their entire season will come down to that Dolphins' game. Well, assuming they don't choke at home to the Browns, which they shouldn't... Despite what many are saying 10-6 gives them a really good shot at the playoffs. The trouble is getting to 10-6, not what happens if they get there.
  7. How does that data do that? Of the 8 teams with the most injuries in the league, one has a winning record and that's just 7-5. I don't think it's coincidence that 6 of the 8 teams in blue (the ones winning their divisions) are on the left hand side of the graph. As for the bubble size representing the "significance of the injury" it would only do that if you compared who was lost with who replaced them. Simply saying who was lost doesn't really do much. Not to mention trying to do a WAR type stat in football is kind of pointless.
  8. I'm not Rex fan but yeah, having each other's backs is an important part of being a team.
  9. At least it happened to the only player on the Bills' roster who fans generally don't criticize. That prevents us from a week's worth of "he's soft as baby sh*t" type posts. Just looking for the silver lining...
  10. There is exactly a 0% chance , baring injury, that EJ isn't on an NFL roster next year if he wants to play football.
  11. The D allows a TD more per game at home than on the road so far this season. I'm sure we will all hear about problems with "communication" after the game. This team is cursed. Wth!!
  12. It doesn't, the Broncos in the 6 slot are really the only team that anybody can catch.
  13. Hah, that was my thought as well. I wonder wtf elite mobility looks like then.
  14. Its amazing how many passes the Raiders WRs drop.
  15. I'd give him something like a base of $10M with incentives based on games started that could bring it up to a respectable number. If he starts every game he'd get in the $20M range. If he starts twelve $16M. Give him a 3 year deal with the ability to nullify the contract at the end of each season if he didn't start at least 12 games that season. That's what I'd give him, but there's no way in hell he'd take that to come to Buffalo.
  16. Sucks that such an important game has to be played on a Thursday. If they persist with theses games I'd like to see them only play inter conference games.
  17. I don't know. I have to believe part of the reason he's starting is because he's young and fresh after missing half the season while Alexander may very well be hitting the wall after getting more work this year than he's ever gotten before. I just have to trust the the coaching staff knows where their players are in terms of freshness and knowledge of the D.
  18. One just keeps their calm and keeps saying, "I'm only concerned with the Steelers this week." I don't even know how one can get mad about it, if I kept saying the above line and they kept asking the same question a slightly different way I'd start laughing at how ridiculous it is. When he gets mad it makes me think that he is concerned with the very question they're asking.
  19. After the last 16 years I've stopped caring about how they get in, just get the F in. I'll take a 7-9 Seahawks style playoff appearance at this point.
  20. Not as frustrating as the Broncos winning the Saints game by blocking the go ahead extra point and returning it for the winning defensive two point conversion. That game could very well be the one that keeps the Bills out of the playoffs.
  21. Ive watched him crash inside when his responsibility was to set the edge a handful of times. Granted 5 or so bad plays does not a bad pick make but it's frustrating to see him make the same mistake time and time again. Other than those mistakes he's been ok. Not great but not bad for a guy who missed all of training camp his rookie year.
  22. The Raiders have a defensive coach with a bad defense. Everything seems fine in Raiderland though. A quality QB helps hide the teams other warts. Its not a cure all but it sure helps a ton. To have a top tier QB and still be a consistent loser you have to do pretty much everything else wrong. Like, say, the Chargers.
