This Denver team just isn't very good right now. Without turnover machine Bortles helping their cause Denver would be in serious jeopardy of dropping this game.

AFC scores... that Oaktown game really hurt

Ark would be down 2 right now had they kicked the FG earlier instead of going for it. No clue why they would go for it when a FG puts them within one score. -
Falcons decline holding call that would make it 2nd and 21 in favor of 3rd and 10. WTF?

You wont have to hear it much longer if the Ravens keep this up. -
AFC scores... that Oaktown game really hurt

We need Ravins to win. Ive played it out a thousand time with different simulators and only on a few of them is it better if the Dolphins win. People act like this Raider team is some juggernaut. They have a fantastic offense with a great OL but their D is about as bad as any in the league. They've squeezed out a lot of games but IMO they aren't a much different team than the Saints. -
Taylor at 25 starts: how does he compare to the rest of NFL?

Fair enough, I did forget that there was time on the clock at the very end. -
Jack Del Rio Regrets Not Re-signing Lorenzo Alexander
MDH replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep. Im sure the regret Del Rio has has nothing to do with not being able to predict how successful he'd be and has everything to do with not giving him a fair shake in camp. Rex has plenty of warts but one of the things he does right is letting players prove they can play and if they do that he moves them up the depth chart. As a player thats all you can ask of a coach. -
Clay inactive for game due to birth of child (updated)
MDH replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And so will he. Bado is right in that he's doing it for selfish reasons (granted Ive never heard anybody claim it was for the child...) but being there for the birth of your children is one of life's great memories and I'd never begrudge someone that because of my selfish desire to see my favorite football team have a better chance at victory. -

So I assume you are speaking for ownship then? Or there is a quote from the Pegulas about how disapointed they are that Clay is taking their money and not playing? -

Forget who was calling the plays. The real issue here is that Tyrod sat for 4 years before a single start. How many games did EJ sit before he was thrown in there? Who knows if EJ would have (or will) ever turn into a quality starter but he had almost zero chance of doing so given how much of a project he was and that he was thrown to the wolves before he was ever ready. Its also funny to me how people like to throw those horrendous Jags plays up as proof that he'll never be good. As if those three plays define him more than the rest of the game...one in which the team had the lead when the offense last stepped off the field. Had the defense not folded at the end everybody would remember that game as one where EJ showed the fortitude to put the 2nd quarter blunders behind him and help lead his team to victory in spite of them. Not folding to adversity is an important part of the mental make ip of a QB. If EJ ever showed me anything it was that the moment rarely seemed to big for him. He was at his best at the end of halves and games, times when he stopped trying to process the game and just played ball. I was always hoping to see EJ get to a point where the game slowed down for him because if he ever got there he would have been pretty good. That said, I have no idea if he ever would have gotten there. But I could have told you for certain he wouldnt get there in 14 games, there arent many QBs in the history of the NFL who have been able to do that. -
Except for the Bills to make the playoffs they need the help of th Patriots. Pats play the Ravens, Broncos and Dolphins the rest of the way. We need them to win those games. A less than full strength Pats team hurts the Bills chances.

TNF: Cowboys at Vikings - Mike Zimmer Will Not Coach

8 point deficit with 4 min left is like being 14 points back with 2 min remaining for most teams...99.9% chance of failure. -
Cutler looks the part but he's the anti Tyrod in terms of protecting the football. Guy is a turnover machine.

They drafted O'Leary in 2015 and paid Clay the same year. Perhaps you don't care for their production but to say they haven't addressed the position is incorrect. Granted, I'm of the opinion it doesn't really matter who they have at TE as long as they have a QB who doesn't like using the middle of the field. -
I had a scenario where the Bills, Dolphins, Broncos and Colts all finished at 9-7 and the Bills won the tiebreakers and got in. Oddly enough, none of the individual games to get to that scenario were far fetched. Of course, getting them all to fall that way is a different matter. Not even close. The Bills need the Raiders and Pats to basically run the table (other than the Raider game this week) and if that happens there are tons of ways for the Bills to get in with a single loss (as long as that loss isn't to the Dolphins.) The reason is the Raiders and Pats play a lot of the teams the Bills need to lose.

Sammy Watkins did not practice due to sore foot
MDH replied to 16-0's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Without being a doctor who has examined his foot and has an intimate knowledge of the type of injury he has how can you (or anyone) come to any medical conclusions? As for your 2nd point, I agree. This team needs more quality WRs whether Watkins comes back healthy or not. -
The dude is a 7th round pick. The fact that he's still on the team means he's already bucked the odds.

Bills will be running the wish bone pretty soon at this rate.

He really hasnt played that much this season anyway. Im sure they'd love to have him but they are the class of the AFC withiut him. -

With five weeks left in the season I cant imagine a Bills' player getting hurt and headlines saying, "out 8 weeks." Must be nice. -

Sounds like he's going to need the 2nd surgery. From what I recall, the recovery time from that is around 6 months which is why I'm guessing they're letting him play. No matter when he has that surgery he should be ready for next season. As long as he can't make it worse they might as well trot him out there and see what he can give them. -
Week 13: Raiders' Game Preparation - Inactives Announced
MDH replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't be surprised if both Denver and KC lose, or at least struggle, this week. That Sunday night game was about as hard hitting as I've seen in a long time. It was also a prime time game against a division rival that was extremely important and the players were all extremely hyped for. Players have a tough time keeping a high level of intensity through to the next game if it's not as big. Add the extra period they played and I have a feeling neither team will be at their best this week.
