I'm not the biggest WM supporter. He's a good, but not great, RB. But when did he ever say that he may hold out? I've not heard that. And to push it even farther, Rosenhaus' clients don't tend to hold out. He gets them into camp on time just about every year (there are a few exceptions). His bark is much bigger than his bite, and despite fan reaction to Rosenhaus GMs like working with him because he gets the job done quickly and he doesn't make them break the bank. Rosenhaus hasn't negotiated ANY of the top contracts in the league. Also, I've never heard any RB say they shouldn't get the ball more. So that only leaves your first point. I agree, it's annoying, but I don't think Marv is going to cut the guy because he ran his mouth once.

And those rumors were started on profootballtalk.com. We all know how accurate that site is.

Bills all over the NFL Misery Ratings
MDH replied to smokinandjokin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope, it was a 51 yarder. -
Russ Grimm for offensive coordinator!!
MDH replied to Orton's Arm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Patriots have more plays of 20+ yards than any team in the league. So much for death by a thousand cuts. -
I knew it would happen. He said AVERAGE those numbers. Do you know what those numbers figure out to by season's end? 144 catches and 1632 yards. That would be one of the all time great seasons by a WR in NFL history...but somehow it's still not good enough for folks around here. Simply hilarious. Obviously he’d never average those numbers but it’s pretty funny to see people say that those numbers aren’t even impressive and don’t want him on the team even if he could manage it.

Bills all over the NFL Misery Ratings

In the 18 years that the Cardinals have been in Arizona the best they've done is 9-7. That's just sad. -
Why is Halotti Ngata not on Mel Kiper's
MDH replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unlike Tobin, Kiper isn't accountable for his opinions. He can be dead wrong about half the guys he likes and he'll still have a job as long as he acts like he knows what he's talking about. I'm not saying Kiper isn't pretty good at what he does, he is, but to compare the two is a bit much. -
"the Lions went from 2000 to 2004 without winning a road game." GD, that has to be one of the worst stats I've ever seen.

I like my idea for an Oline even better than yours: LT – Walter Jones LG – Steven Hutchenson C – Jeff Saturday RG – Alan Faneca RT – Willie Anderson Get 'er done Marv!

This is how I would build a winning team....

I disagree. 4MILL is the best QB in the league!. And 5MILL might be the one of the best left tackles I've ever seen! -
Agreed, this draft is pretty deep, there's no need to trade up and waste picks doing so. Either stay at 8 or drop down some spots if there are multiple guys you still want on the board at 8 and you think they'll be there a few spots down.

While it might technically be a 50% chance of a Thanksgiving game this year I can't imagine that the networks would choose the Bills over the Phins for a nationally televised game. Particularly against the lowly Lions. I'm guessing most of the nation wouldn't tune in to see the Bills @ Detroit. Hell, I'm a Bills fan and that sounds like a terrible matchup.

I'd like that Colt game to be in week 17.

Why is Halotti Ngata not on Mel Kiper's
MDH replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just look at all those DTs in Mel's top 25 and most of them are near the bottom. If Ngata declares there's bound to be a quality guy there with our second round pick. -
Moulds could put up a 144 catch season and there would STILL be at least one thread saying something to the effect of, "Is Moulds worth it?"

I'm not in favor of the day dreamer trade to try to pick up Young nor do I think he'll be that successful in the NFL...however, where on earth do you get that "most scouts have him as a WR or RB?" The guy is going to be a top 5-10 pick at QB and no team taking him is even going to consider moving him to one of the above spots.
-
Dude, that's a SWEET trade, nobody could turn that down!
-
I don't think it was a matter of giving up on the run too early. They just couldn't move the ball to pick up first downs to have that many plays. Sure Barber only had 13 rushes but Manning only had 18 throws (Foster almost had as many carries as the Giants ran offensive plays). While that's not exactly ballance it's not tipped that far for a team that was behind most of the day.

I don't know anybody that's sold on the kid, I just want to see him play, period. I get the feeling with Mularkey on shakey ground next year we'll get more of the same. A few starts here and there and that's it as he tries to save his job for a second year in a row.

Pats will win the Super Bowl...again
MDH replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why do I just know that Plummer will choose this week to self destruct. Denver should beat the Pats but I just don't trust Plummer to play the same solid ball he's played all year. -
Unfortunately we're not in the NFC.

Bengals look a whole lot different when trying
MDH replied to Johnny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, the players didn't want to win. Pure genius. You provide keen insight into the minds and hearts of the professional athlete. -
Not to mention Eli has had roughly 16 more starts than JP and doesn't look much better. He just has a better team around him (and a lot of positive hype).
-
Yes, the QBs trot out there all by themselves and win or lose games alone.
-
I've said it before and I'll say it again. This team had better win next year. If it doesn't keeping Mularkey on as HC was a huge mistake. It will turn next year into a lame duck year, one that doesn't help the team move forward at all. If Mularkey stumbles next year and gets fired at year end we'll have to wait 2-3 more seasons while the new coaching staff implements their systems and gets their feet under them. To me this is akin to developing a young QB. Why put off his development in a season that's likely to be a failure when you can get his feet under him right now. Next season could have been a "learning" season for a new coaching staff. As it is we'll likely have to wait two years for that "learning" season. If next year isn't a productive one this team's playoff drought is likely to last at least 8 years before a realistic shot at the playoffs can be achieved. This is so typical. The Bills never seem to want to build a foundation, it’s “try to win this year” even if it’s obvious that they aren’t capable to doing so. They end up finding stop gap solutions, that never actually enable them to win this year and only serves to stymie their future development. So the questions are, who actually thinks this team is capable of winning next year and what will it take for Mularkey to keep his job?
