  1. I actually didn't assume that which you'd know if you had read my post.
  2. It could have still been a first down had the penalty occurred after Price was 10 yards past the first down marker. The ball is moved back 10 yards from the spot of the foul. If that puts it past the first down marker it's a first down. This foul occurred 8 yards past the first down marker, hence it was 3rd and 2 on the next play.
  3. One flaw in your argument is that you're automatically assuming that the Bills score a TD if they convert. There's a pretty good chance that they don't get in from the 7 if they pick up the 1st down. If it was 4th and goal from the 1 I would be inclined to go for it but 4th and 1 from the 8 doesn't put points on the board if you convert. The Bills might have ended up with a FG attempt anyway. And yes, I realize that a FG attempt doesn't guarantee points there either but the odds of missing a FG that short are miniscule. I'm not going to blast the staff for going for it as I was only slightly leaning towards the FG at the time but in retrospect it was obviously the wrong call as the entire game turned on that one play. Of course hindsight is 20/20.
  4. How do you know that? How exactly can the game play out the exact same way if the Bills kick those points? Nothing that happens after that gets repeated if the Bills kick that FG, it's not like you can just add those points to the final score and say, "we would win 20-19".
  5. Actually, I just took another look at it. One Bills gets knocked back into Moorman but there is also a Patriot player from the other side that lands on him as well. It should have at least been running into the kicker (which wouldn't have changed much as it wouldn't have given the Bills a first down).
  6. I only saw one of them clearly. On that one the Pats player isn't the one who struck Moorman, it was a Bills player that got pushed back into (and onto) him. I'm pretty sure that's why the flag wasn't thrown.
  7. It wasn't canceled, it airs on Mondays before MNF.
  8. I just watched it several times on tivo. If you go to 8:20 left in the 4th quarter and slow it down you can see Clements clearly use both hands to shove the guy down. It's not even a questionable call.
  9. I wouldn't mind seeing A Train as the short yardage back. There are some players that just aren't good at putting their head down and moving the pile. Willis obviously doesn't want to be this type of player so let someone else handle the chore.
  10. Says the guy who created a brand new thread.
  11. Correction, one Drew post goes down and two pop up.
  12. One Drew post goes down another one goes up.
  13. This is what is known as irony.
  14. I love McNair and think he's the most underrated player in the league the past 10 years. That being said I'm skeptical that he can stay on the field for the entire season. If he can they're a team that could surprise some people.
  15. That pick wasn't drew's fault...
  16. It looked like JP looked deep a few times in the first half but decided to check down and dump it off. In the second half there was no chance at throwing deep with the protection the OL was providing.
  17. The OL which couldn't pass protect or run block for the entire second half.
  18. There's an easy remedy for this. Stop coming to this site. Thanks.
  19. It's not a double standard. There are mistakes that are acceptable from a QB who has made 9 starts that aren't acceptable from a 12 year vet who has started his entire career.
  20. If that had been Bledsoe he would have fumbled it and given the Pats 7.
  21. What kind of accuracy are you looking for? Do you expect him to put the ball on the money every single throw? 65% comp. percentage is pretty good in my book. As is the 7.1 ypa.
  22. Actually, no, he didn't. There was absolutely nothing he can do when he gets hit from his blindside before he finished his drop back. He actually did a good job to avoid the initial tackler.
  23. They couldn't go into the season with only 1 healthy SS on the team.
  24. I'm not sure I want to watch the second half of this game given the way both teams folded in week 1. It could be ugly.
  25. At some point he has to realize that he needs to put his head down and drive foward for 1-3 yards. His little dance act gets a little old.
