  1. He sat the 2nd half. The Bills did have the lead heading into the half and the Bills were missing some key personel as well. I have no clue if they would have won if Brady didnt get sat but its not a given that they would have lost. At the end of the day a win is a win.
  2. I'm kinda thinking the same except they'll beat the Pats then turn right around and lose to the Chiefs which of course is the more important of the two games.
  3. Any pessimist the last 15 years has been a realist.
  4. While that seems on the surface like a fair way of doing it, I don' think it necessarily is. Why do mistakes on the final play of the game matter more than mistakes earlier? What if a ref's mistake cost the Jags points earlier? Then perhaps they wouldn't have needed to come from behind. Yet the league is going to change one play and not another? They need to limit ref's mistakes but going back in and changing the outcome of games isn't a good idea, even on the last play.
  5. None of the credit, all of the blame!
  6. It's not must win. It's actually the least important of the next three games. Win the two games after this one and a loss to the Pats isn't that big of a deal. Beat the Pats and they might be able to afford a hiccup against Houston. That KC game has almost become must win. If the Bills can come out of this three game stretch 7-5, that would give them a conference record of 7-4 and a firm hold of a WC spot, particularly if one of those wins is vs. KC.
  7. I don't fear the deep ball from Brady when blitzing, it's the short hot route. He kills teams with it all the way down field. I'd rather the Bills rushed 4 most of the game (with some blitzing here and there) and clogged the passing lanes with LBs and bracketed with Safeties.
  8. Interesting team stat: The only team to score more TDs than the Bills in the AFC is the Pats. The Bills have a ton of 3 and outs which cuts down on their total scoring drives but their big play ability gets them in the end zone more than most teams.
  9. After Jax I don't think they'll be overlooking anybody. And as much as I'd love it for the Bills to be the team that goes on the roll, I just want the playoffs. I don't care if it's with the Bills getting in at 8-8 because every other team sh*t the bed, I'll take it.
  10. Let's hope that none of the injured starters on the Pats OL comes back this week. That was a major reason the Giants had success.
  11. It isn't good. The more teams "in the mix" the greater the odds that someone catches fire and goes on a roll. The fewer teams competing for those wild card spots the better. Suddenly the Bills can't have a hiccup at KC or vs. Hou because of tiebreakers. What we need at this point is for the Colts to go into the tank completely and Hou to win the division.
  12. Didn't sound like gushing to me in regards to Watkins. Sounded like he was implying that Revis' skills might be diminishing.
  13. Not saying it happened every time, but it happened frequently. I'm with you in saying Tyrod needs to do a better job getting rid of the ball when there is a blitz. I said it immediately after the game.
  14. Why? Everybody thought Foles was good after he had that phenomenal 12 game stretch a few years ago. What makes a QB a franchise guy is being able to consistently do it year in year out. Not for 12 games and certainly not for 6. Taylor might be the answer but we won't know it for awhile. Personally, I'm skeptical he can stay healthy for entire seasons given his playing style.
  15. The story after the game will be how the Pats last two losses were both at home to the Bills with the headline, "Do the Bills have the Patriots number?"
  16. If you don't get to the line in time you have no time to look over the D. The Bills were consistently getting up to the LoS with very little time left and almost no time to make any adjustments.
  17. Father time is undefeated. His time is coming and the drop off is usually precipitous. He'll be injured more frequently and not heal as quickly and his game will suffer. It's pretty much the same for all old QBs.
  18. Yep, but winning four in a row is much different than pulling a single upset.
  19. They also said that Jax had about the same chance of beating a 2 win Baltimore team as Tenn had of beating an undefeated Carolina team.
  20. Those teams are all looking at the Jags and saying "that's a very winnable game."
  21. Injuries. A neck injury directly impacts the shoulder and that's huge for a QB. I'm surprised Manning has been successful this long after his neck surgery.
  22. The team pretty much needs to win one of the next two to have a realistic shot. Two conference losses including a tiebreaker with KC would be devastating. If they don't win one of the next two they'd probably need to run the table to get in.
  23. He better get them in the next few years because his career will go on a steady decline when he gets into his 30s and his athletic ability starts to diminish and the beatings he has taken take their toll. He's not a guy who will have success into his mid or late 30s.
  24. If the Bills can get into the playoffs it means they'd likely have to travel to Indy or Den, neither of which appears that daunting atm.
