  1. Your second statement is correct. Your first statement needs to see statement #2.
  2. Yep, Steelers losing is the most important thing this week. Our fates are in Andy Dalton's hands...
  3. The Bengals are the better team overall. Better D, better talent top to bottom. The Steelers have a better offense but the gap between the two team's offenses isn't as great as between the Ds. The great equalizer, as always, are injuries. Bengals D has a few key players out this week. Also, if bad Dalton shows up it will cost them the game.
  4. Any team that has any possibility of beating the Bills for the WC I want to see lose. The Texans fit that bill. The perfect week should include Titans and Chargers wins over the Jets and Chiefs.
  5. I'd say this is true IF the Steelers lose to Cincy this week. If not, winning out might not even be enough for the Bills.
  6. Yeah, I had this same thought today. He's played well but I don't trust him to come through in a big spot.
  7. I can see why he rubs coaches the wrong way at least from that video. He's not very affable and doesn't seem like a very coachable guy. You get the sense he's going to do it his way and doesn't give an F what his coaches say. That works when you still have all that talent but his legs will start to go at some point, hopefully he'll learn to hit the hole when that time comes. For the time being I'll just enjoy the Shady show.
  8. The mistake the article makes is in looking only at averages. You can't compare the averages of a player who has started 10 games with those of a player who has started 3-4 seasons and say, "they match up statistically." There is no way TT gets the same deal that Wilson just got. At least not yet. Wilson is a SB winning QB who has led his team to the big game twice. TT, while very promising, hasn't proven anything yet. They might well give him a bump in pay this offseason but there is no way in hell they give him a deal worth $21M per season (4th highest in the league according to the article) at this stage of his career. Let the guy prove he can do it multiple seasons and he can be relied on to win games when they need him to chuck it around before you dole out that kind of cash. If they do give him a deal that appears to be big it had better be with a small portion guaranteed and most of it can be collected with incentives.
  9. This is correct. Darby was not on Hopkins "90% of the game."
  10. I think Buffalo would be a bad spot for the kid. Just too much pressure living up to his uncle's legacy. The comparisons would never stop. That being said, he needs to wait a year before declaring.
  11. The crux of the problem is that they carry a KO specialist in addition to Carpenter. In order to justify that Carpenter needs to be lights out. There's nothing they can do now to improve the position but I seriously doubt Carpenter is on the roster next season.
  12. Or maybe it means there are other factors that also determine the outcome of the game. Like D, ST, turnovers, penalties, etc., etc. Getting Sammy the ball more would not be a bad thing unless TT staryed forcing it to him no matter what.
  13. Jags have 8 losses already. Them winning the division has no effect on Bills. Anything less than 9-7 isnt getting a WC this year. 9-7 might not be enough.
  14. Bills might be the only team in the league who doesnt run some variation of a pick play.
  15. Not much annoys me more about the modern game than the fact that officials consistently allow WRs to put their hands on the DB but the opposite it almost always flagged. It is just about impossible to cover a WR if he is allowed to create separation by pushing off while you are not allowed to touch grab him.
  16. I can't believe that up 10 the Giants went for it on 4th and 2 instead of kicking a chip shot to go up 13. Force the Jets O to score two TDs to beat you Tom!
  17. Given their schedules, and Big Ben's penchant for injury this year, I'd say KC is more of a lock than the Steelers. That being said, if the Bills miss the playoffs (and they likely will) it'll be because of these two teams, not the Jets. I went into this weekend thinking the Bills could drop one of the NFC games and still have a decent shot. I'm having my doubts today. They likely need to run the table because I don't see the Steelers of or KC slipping up twice without a major injury or two. The Steelers have two tough games coming up but it's asking a lot to think they'll drop both of them given the way their offense is playing.
  18. I'd like to see them add a speed guy (who has some size, not a 5'9" guy) who can run go routes and open up some underneath stuff for Watkins. They have Percy and Goodwin but they - obviously - haven't worked out. I'm guessing the reason they have Watkins going deep so often is that they have nobody left on the active roster who can do it reliably.
  19. I wouldn't go so far as to call them pathetic but yeah, it's annoying that anytime someone posts something critical of any QB on the team a group of people have to jump down their throats, even if the post is spot on.
  20. He's built fine for tackling, if he'd learn how to tackle. You don't throw you shoulder at a guy and hope it knocks him down. You wrap him up. Winfield was often the smallest guy on the field and was one of the best tacklers out there.
  21. Philly has good ST, Bills not so much. I worry about that matchup.
  22. Why? What have the steelers shown this year to make you think they are that good?
  23. Why does D. Carr wear eye liner?
  24. I thought he should have too. Was the difference between FG range and still needing 10 yards. Dont know if there was enough to overturn though.
