  1. Nothing wrong with a good rant every now and then, that’s what the internet is for.
  2. Remember Lil Donte, ””DON’T TAZE ME BRO” He was good at blocking kicks.
  3. I see X is opening for the Psychedelic Furs at the Fillmore in Silver Spring. Would’ve been a great line-up & show 40 years ago, i might still go for the nostalgia, tix are a little over $50 incl. fees.
  4. Exactly. And not to pick on NYC, I live in North Baltimore County and I won’t go downtown here anymore either.
  5. Someone should call in & ask him how that Steelers GM job is working out.
  6. https://www.thedailybeast.com/netflix-and-sony-hit-pause-on-new-will-smith-movies-after-oscars-slap https://amp.theguardian.com/film/2016/jan/18/jada-pinkett-smith-suggests-boycott-of-oscars-over-lack-of-diversity As Alanis Morissette once said, isn’t it ironic?
  7. I didn’t hate him when he was here before, but he really lost a lost of luster to me with his stint in Carolina, so I would have to say no.
  8. I know what you're thinking: "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world... and would blow your head clean off... you've got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do you, punk? ========================== Lousy peeping Tom. You getting an eyeful? You goddamn pie hawker! =========================== What's in the bag, man? - You dudes get lost now, you hear? ============================ My friends call me Alice. And I will take a dare. - Well, Alice, when was the last time you were busted? If you're a vice, I'll kill myself. - Well, do it at home. ============================= Don't pass out on me yet, you rotten oinker!
  9. Funnier than an April Fool’s joke.
  10. Yeah, he made those games hard to watch.
  11. I used to love going up there pre-pandemic, mostly for concerts… but now after hearing all the horror stories, I have no desire to ever return.
  12. I always get him mixed up with the slob that was married to Roseanne.
  13. I like Songkick myself.
  14. I would say no, if only because I don’t think college basketball is as good today as it was in years past, now get off my lawn!
  15. Interesting. I think Madden is the only one who had the power to make casual fans watch, while Summerall zzzz certainly did not. Maybe Cosell and Dandy Don to a point.
  16. I did it a few times in the last half of the 80’s with a Radio Shack cassette recorder lol, about $100 back then I think but it did have left-right heads for stereo. I recorded Bob Seger, Van Morrison, Stones Toronto 89 2nd show. The only one that turned out really good was Dylan & the Heartbreakers/Dead at RFK because I stood on the field about 15 feet from the left bank of speakers, super loud.
  17. I got busted the same year for recording Lou Reed at Merriweather. They weren’t that nasty about it, they just kept my tape & told me I had to take the recorder back to the car. I was so bummed I ended up driving away.
  18. I saw them & then Fagan about 10 years ago. They were tight, but it was a total sausage fest, no women, just snooty nerd-types.
  19. Great pic! Fripp will be Fripp. Chrissie Hynde was like that too a couple years ago, she didn’t walk out but she badly cussed out someone who dared to hold a cellphone up. And I much prefer the smaller venues too but I’d rather be in front of the mix board.
  20. I’m jealous you got Wire. When I saw them in 1983 at the old Cleveland Coluseum (road trip!), the opener was Huey Lewis and the News.
  21. Only time I saw them was a few years ago, I didn’t get any of that but I do know Fripp will walk out if he sees a camera, wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t like whistlers either.
  22. Ever see Steely Dan?
  23. Priorities people! I’d rather see $ spent on the Bills than children and family services.
