  1. I wish....I've got most of the circulating shows from that era in flacs. 1st Stones show for me was the Aud in 75, then Rich when they came back last show of the tour, then Chicago 78, Rich 81, Louisville 81, Chicago 2 81. Whole bunch of Vegas-era shows, last one was Beacon 2 in 2006 as seen in Scorsese's Shine A Light (face was $25, VERY lucky to score that one. I didn't care for Exile when it first came out (as a kid), but I do think it is the greatest rock album ever, it's deep man! Not my fav Stones though (Black and Blue), nor my fav album (Never Mind The Bollocks).
  2. From 1969 onward, I tend to judge the Stones by the shows more than the albums, and I think 1981-82 was the last great tour.
  3. Watson was better than Josh in college, but that's about it, he can't touch him now.
  4. Hate to say it, but I never seriously checked out Raconteurs or his solo stuff, jumped off the bus after Icky Thump.
  5. RIP Gilbert. So entertaining and funny, I may watch a little stand-up & Problem Child tonight.
  6. I love MSG, but I would’ve rather seen them somewhere smaller.
  7. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-white-stripes/2007/madison-square-garden-new-york-ny-33d63c19.html I saw the White Stripes play MSG, very good show, and have no problem with his comments.
  8. I like to compare their legacies at different points in history. Beatles > Stones 1964- 1969 In their prime, I will begrudgingly give the nod to the “lads”. Stones > Beatles 1964 - 1988 Solo Beatles except for a few high points like POB & ATMP detracted from their legacy. Beatles > Stones 1964- present Vegas Stones really detracted from their legacy.
  9. Yes, but it fits my narrative that Stones > Beatles.
  10. They definitely could rock out, mostly Lennon but even Macca, Helter Skelter for a great example… but I do think they were more pop than rock for the most part. Stones could also be pop, for example Ruby Tuesday, but I think they were more rock & roll, then rock. Agree about the attitude, my favs are always full of it!
  11. Yankees many times. I was living in Ann Arbor when Michigan beat Seton Hall, place went crazy, good times! Bad boys fan when I lived there too, loved it when they beat the crap out of Jordan on their way to championships First time I got into basketball as a kid was the Knicks with Willis Reed over the Lakers. Can’t forget the Four Horsemen either, woooooo!
  12. That's very true. The way I look at it, I think the Beatles were the greatest pop band ever and the Stones were the greatest rock band ever.
  13. Whole lot more than just one song.
  14. Very true when it came to the studio. Of course live, the Stones blew the Beatles off the map.
  15. I would agree with that. I would goof on him in here & other OSU QB's in here, but only in fun cause their program is so excellent. He was a great Buckeye.
  16. "The Legend of Patrick Mahomes grows as he outfires Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills"... followed by another legendary meltdown against the Bengals. More like the legend of Josh Allen grows!
  17. https://people.com/movies/will-smith-banned-from-oscars-ceremony-for-10-years/?amp=true I enjoy a good conspiracy theory every now and then, but I doubt this is fake.
  18. Poyer has been a great Bill & I would hate to see him leave… but if he has to go, oh well.
  19. What about the Steelers?
  20. They can get Sammy for a lot less.
  21. Chris Jones was a thug on the field 2 years ago in the AFC Championship game, just ask Mongo.
  22. One of my favorite plays last year was when Poyer smacked Kelce in the 1st KC game. That 15-yard penalty was well worth it.
  23. My main memory was when the sound went out during Eat Your Heart Out, the 2nd or 3rd song. Stiv started ranting about too much power being used elsewhere in the club, “Turn off that f’n Duran Duran!”
  24. I saw X back in I think 1983 (at Uncle Sam’s?) right after seeing Lords of the New Church at the Continental, great lost weekend!
