Report: Jerry Jeudy arrested UPDATE: Charges Dropped
Rico replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chiefs will take him no problem, but I don’t think the Broncos will trade within the division. -
If it was me, I would stay in the county at say the Hilton Garden Inn or Hampton Inn in White Marsh, then take a bus from the White Marsh Mall to M&T Stadium. Least interaction with Baltimore city, the better. https://www.ravensride.net

I only care about on-the-field results. I don’t remember his father in the league, but he better be a hell of a lot better than his uncle Matt was with the Ravens.

The one and only time I saw a college game in the Aud was Canisius with Larry Fogle vs. (I think) Fairfield. No crowd at all, we sat so close to the center court, great seats.

May Movies: Doctor Strange, & Top Gun, kickoff big Summer Season
Rico replied to Mark Vader's topic in Off the Wall
Yeah you are right. I still don’t like it. -
Without doing some digging, I remember Spencer Haywood being the 1st underclassman to go into the pros (ABA) around 1972 or 1973. Before that, players would only get drafted after their senior year. I vaguely remember something about Randy Smith’s elegibility already used up, but I’m not sure. I do think the college game was MUCH better when players stayed for 4 years.

Yeah, Back To The Future was great. I think the key is to make it straight-forward and not too convoluted. If I have to read a plot summary after I see the movie to figure out everything that happened, it’s not quite right. Agreed, I thought Wanda was great, accent didn’t bother me at all. -

Things tend to go downhill whenever time travel is involved. I did like The Time Tunnel though way back when. -
Unless there’s another Hamilton, Harford Rd. runs through the middle of it, it’s about 5 miles or so North of downtown. I would say it’s safer than staying downtown, but if it was me, I would be staying in the county, not city. ETA My bad, I missed that you said street.

They traded down with the Bullets and added guard Mike Davis IIRC. Don’t remember why they weren’t at the top of the round, but the Braves & the other expansion teams (Trail Blazers & Cavaliers) drafted in the middle. As for John Hummer , he sure was no Gilbert Perreault.

No further questions, the prosecution rests.

Lil Donte and Gimp McCargo.

RIP Bob, one of the all-time Buffalo greats. I will forever hate Villanova and especially Chris Ford for taking his knee out at the tournament that one year.

Will you FINALLY agree that everyone you mentioned in the above post from the Bills with the exception of McBeane & Pegs failed at their jobs?
-
Not close to enough. FAILURE. Unfortunately for him, there are no participation trophys in the NFL
-
He was good-to-OK, he could be fun to watch, and I will say thanks & wish him well. I won't shed any tears though for any Drought-Era players who leave town, not even Kyle.
-
Oh i read you wrong, when you said results, i thought you meant results of some of the moves he made like Sammy. I won't pick on those too much, I always go to the bottom line, this is the NFL, he should've been gone long before 2017.

Now I don’t remember who wrote that article way back when about the decline of TD & Ralph harassing him all day, don’t think it was Sully or Bucky… but it made perfect sense. Some puff piece by a hack like Tyler Dunne continuing to defend the indefensible like Jimmy O… I’m not buying it. Not to say it was completely fabricated, cause Beane’s not throwing anyone under the bus. Agreed, go to the bottom line. 3 years as assistant GM + 4 years as GM = 7 years with no playoffs= FAILURE.

Re: TD, I would’ve been in a bad mood too if I had to deal with Ralph on the phone all day long. Re: Beane/Jimmy O, Like I said, I’m just not sure, but I wouldn’t necessarily believe any interview that doesn’t fit my narrative.
-
Things started to improve the day Terry Pegula took over, and continued to get better and better each time one of Ralph’s stooges was dumped. As for Donahoe, he was a great football mind who was ruined by excessive micro-managing from the worst owner in football. I don’t have a definitive take on Jimmy O. I can only surmise that he either kept his job as a condition of the sale of the team, or he is a supreme a**-kisser. Can’t say either for sure though.

Tom Brady will be Fox’s lead NFL analyst once he retires
Rico replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Better him than Peyton Gump. -
Agreed that the Steelers should stay away, but the main reason was they were working for Ralph
-
He may have been on the phone to Dorsey, but he had nothing to do with authorizing any moves, he was fired immediately after the draft.

Well, Russ Brandon is the president of the XFL now, maybe you really were onto something back then.
