  1. Way too early to call these moves one way or another until we see how Sammy turns out... but I do believe in draining the swamp, and if nothing else, I will salute McD and Beene for having big balls in cleaning up the big mess that Whaley made. I'm more upset with burning 2 #1's for Sammy than letting him go for a #2. I'll miss his potential, but I'll only miss him if he actually pans out. As for Darby, meh.
  2. ^^^^ A complete disaster of a GM.
  3. Exactly. Russ Brandon loved him some Sammy too, I wonder how he's doing today.
  4. Nice post, pretty much says it all. Onward and upward!
  5. Two more Whaley gems gone.
  6. Doesn't look high motor or lunch pailer to me.
  7. I think the Golden Age of the NFL started well before 1989, but I think it ended after the 1992 season. Started going to hell with full-blown free agency.
  8. Also, show how many QB's 6'6" and taller have made it in the NFL. Flacco had one great post-season & that's about it.
  9. I think Sammy will be the #1 target... but if you've got 1 play in the Red Zone to win a game, I'd be looking for Anquan.
  10. No surprise at all, just say NO to Lurch QB's.
  11. He feels betrayed by the NFL.
  12. He might be a Raiders fan too now that EJ's there. It's all good.
  13. Cause I'd like to see it, he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Oh yeah, either Bran or Theon can be killed off anytime please.
  14. You know, I always wanted to start a thread about Favorite Recreational Drugs because I think it would be far more interesting and entertaining than any other Favorite threads, but I figured it wouldn't last very long. These days, zero. Way back in the day at one time, I made more money than I spent.
  15. Nothing. What about recreational drugs?
  16. That was a most epic episode. Arya is a legit bad-ass, but nothing can top Khaleesi on a dragon. Time for Jon Snow to bend the knee already.
  17. If they need room, they can take Joe D down and put Reggie up.
  18. I like the Texans to win the division. Can't trust Meathead, Marrone, or Luck.
  19. Based off of what I saw last year, only Shady is better than TT. Sammy, Dareus, and Hughes have been better in the past at times, but have question marks just like TT.
  20. Attitude is what separates the greatest from the great. Stones used to have it in spades, but last few tours they've even done meet-and-greets. Dylan never lost it.
  21. My favorite of the Drought Era. I don't think it's in the vid, but I also liked his option pass against the Titans. McGee was the man though. I can't think of any other team that started a pair of play-making CBs like him and Nate.
  22. Oh, that SB performance was spectacular and quite stunning. Just an explosion after all that time being compared to Joe and always coming up short. He belongs in the HOF for that game. Without that game though, I think it's a coin toss.
  23. Agreed. One of the most overrated QB's ever. He's lucky he finally stepped up & won a Super Bowl. Other than that year, he greatly underperformed in the playoffs. Fun to watch though so I'll cut him a little slack.
  24. I was just a kid, but Sayers was just incredible before he got hurt. I know it can be hard to relate to though if you're younger and never saw him play. Like me, I never saw Otto Graham, but I respect the consensus opinions of those who did.
