  1. He's already got a ring.
  2. 3 years for me is the standard, but I'm far more lenient than most. I didn't slam Lil Doug until the end of his 3rd year as GM and I never slammed Rex.
  3. Young talent that was either unrealized or flawed. Now he's a scrub, but once upon a time, Vlad Ducasse was a 2nd-round draft pick... young talent.
  4. Can't argue that right now, but I'm willing to see how this year plays out first.
  5. There was no young core to build the team around last year either. The new regime inherited a mess.
  6. Whether they succeed or fail, I will always appreciate them for bringing true change into the organization for the first time ever. Have to also thank Pegs too for finally waking up.
  7. I can see where it may appear they have alterior motives, and I enjoy this speculation... but the bottom line is Whaley's drafts were just that bad.
  8. Great article and great quote from it. Banner is absolutely correct. What a contrast between the old and new regime.
  9. Yeah, Drew was finally gone and the JP-era was just beginning. Fun times.
  10. Wyoming had a blind punter today as well.
  11. Jim Kelly 6'3" 226 Aaron Rodgers 6'2" 225 Tom Brady 6'4" 225 6'5" 240 QB = dork Big Ben is the only dork QB I ever liked, but I do like seeing D's beat the crap out of the others.
  12. Never seen him, but 6'5" 240 sounds like a TE, not a QB.
  13. Losing Milloy, Fletcher, and Clements was far worse, they were proven, bonafide NFL players. Everyone gone from GG's list were questionable except Gilmore IMO.
  14. Yeah, any trades today are to get a jump on the waiver wire. Clay was most likely getting cut too.
  15. Agreed. A whole lot of underachievers (for whatever reasons) are gone. None of these players were rock solid or untouchable, all were questionable. When in doubt, ship them out!
  16. Yeah, I don't know if he'll ever be any good or not, but I like him a lot more than the big dork.
  17. Should've stuck with Maryland-Texas, oh well. Let's see what he does in the 2nd half.
  18. Maybe the next Ryan Mallett.
  19. Still, I can't blame any 1st-year, 1st-time HC for keeping a few vets around that he knows first-hand.
  20. He may be gangly, but that was pretty good escaping the sack.
