  1. Because he is a veteran I am sure they can. It might be an odd question for a UDFA who was never signed to anything, but he is a vested veteran who is clearly covered by the CBA I would think.
  2. I can see teams being willing to take a chance on him, but he may not be willing to play for what they are willing to pay. Most of the sociopaths end up playing on short term deals first (see Incognito).
  3. Weeks, if he cleans up his act. He adds no value for week 1.
  4. What is his market value at this point, for all the people saying he will go to team X or Y? How much guaranteed money? I figure that since week 1 games are tomorrow for most of the league, he will not sign before week 2... and do you really see anyone giving him more than a 1 year prove it deL after he burned both PIT and OAK?
  5. I do not see any reason to believe the Patriots will be interested. Doubtful that either Brady or BB will want such an ego/nutjob on the team. Other malcontents they picked up were much less confrontational and crazy.
  6. I think they benefit the most from this move. I believe they feel confident on their chances in arbitration now. And as for him getting what he wants, that is true if what he wants is to not play football this season... They only have to worry about the "example" set for players who dont want to play anyhow. It is best not to have/pay any players who do not want to play football.
  7. So it is a moot point now but for anyone confused about the difference between a fine and voiding guarantees: A fine is money to be deducted from your check. A voided guarantee says, we are no longer obligated to pay you this future money "guaranteed", but if you perform/play, you will still get that money on a "non-guaranteed" basis.
  8. And instead of being insulted by this, we can add it to the mountain of evidence that AB makes bad decisions.
  9. I would assume the Raiders are lawyered up already and are going to do everything they can to establish a record of "we wanted him to play and he refused to play/fulfill the terms of the contract" in anticipation of having to fight for the $$. So AB's latest actions all seem to help their case. Holding back from suspending him is probably a tactic.
  10. If both Allen and Barkley are hurt, the season is shot. So they can sign Chad Kelly off the Colts PS as a PR stunt.
  11. They are going to hurt him tonight.
  12. We are in the market to replace our 2021 7th.
  13. Now we can really afford a top punter.
  14. These low round picks can also be part of trade ups in the mid rounds, too.
  15. Well, good for him then. I think it helps the Bills overall, and if he likes the trade then maybe that helps our GM's rep with players in the future.
  16. If we do not get him, I will be glad Beane raised the price for Miami. If we do get him, I hope it is for players we don't need and modest draft comp.
  17. Well, Chad Kelly is really going to get a shot now. Sure, he's behind Jacoby Brissett, but I think Chad ends up at #2 QB for them now.
  18. So... did they have to pay "market rate" for all lavor when building in Indianapolis? In all seriousness, doing something in Buffalo NY is probably more expensive than in Indy. What about demolition costs, was the land free there? I could believe $1B. So let's assume that the stadium seats 560,000 for the regular season. If prices increased $20 / seat, that is $11.2m/year in increased revenue. If total cost per seat increased $50, you are talking $28M/year in increased revenue. (This seems high to me, but for the sake of argument) Assuming you can keep that increase neutral for inflation, that is a payback period of 30 years for the possible $840M stadium. How does that make sense? Obviously... if the team can pay only $300M of it and the public pays the rest, it is not a bad deal for the team. Above that it seems to get a little crazy?
  19. So, does this open a spot for Chad Kelly?
  20. "the definitions police" and/or "the semantics police" are not commonly used phrases.
  21. He'd probably retire midgame.
  22. The lazy player knocks off work to go drink his lunch at the local pub.
  23. McCoy, Yeldon, Gore, Singletary all make the team initially. Either one of them will get injured (no excess problem after that) or someone on another team gets injured and we trade them one of our RBs for a 4th or 5th.
  24. Any chance we can trade up to #4 and the Raiders get their RB at 9?
