  1. They are going to hurt him tonight.
  2. We are in the market to replace our 2021 7th.
  3. Now we can really afford a top punter.
  4. These low round picks can also be part of trade ups in the mid rounds, too.
  5. Well, good for him then. I think it helps the Bills overall, and if he likes the trade then maybe that helps our GM's rep with players in the future.
  6. If we do not get him, I will be glad Beane raised the price for Miami. If we do get him, I hope it is for players we don't need and modest draft comp.
  7. Well, Chad Kelly is really going to get a shot now. Sure, he's behind Jacoby Brissett, but I think Chad ends up at #2 QB for them now.
  8. So... did they have to pay "market rate" for all lavor when building in Indianapolis? In all seriousness, doing something in Buffalo NY is probably more expensive than in Indy. What about demolition costs, was the land free there? I could believe $1B. So let's assume that the stadium seats 560,000 for the regular season. If prices increased $20 / seat, that is $11.2m/year in increased revenue. If total cost per seat increased $50, you are talking $28M/year in increased revenue. (This seems high to me, but for the sake of argument) Assuming you can keep that increase neutral for inflation, that is a payback period of 30 years for the possible $840M stadium. How does that make sense? Obviously... if the team can pay only $300M of it and the public pays the rest, it is not a bad deal for the team. Above that it seems to get a little crazy?
  9. So, does this open a spot for Chad Kelly?
  10. "the definitions police" and/or "the semantics police" are not commonly used phrases.
  11. He'd probably retire midgame.
  12. The lazy player knocks off work to go drink his lunch at the local pub.
  13. McCoy, Yeldon, Gore, Singletary all make the team initially. Either one of them will get injured (no excess problem after that) or someone on another team gets injured and we trade them one of our RBs for a 4th or 5th.
  14. Any chance we can trade up to #4 and the Raiders get their RB at 9?
  15. I think he's less scummy than Robert Kraft.
  16. Jimmy's Old Town Tavern in Herndon, VA has been going for quite a while. Has a lot of genuine Buffalo food. Haven't been back in a while but at least it has lasted.
  17. Is the hypothetical punter the BPA?
  18. We have so many holes, I would support l reasonable trades that get us more day 1-2 picks. Not much need for later picks and not a ton of interest in 2020 picks other than 1st, but would prefer not to give up rd 1-5 picks.
  19. Where's Ronnie Jones when you need him?
  20. Ok when I thought about this, I figured that Rex would get very distracted in Miami. Lots of sandals and flip flops... I just wonder if he can stay focused.
  21. I am optimistic about Allen but I don't really get why people are making comparisons to Baker Mayfield. Baker was the #1 overall pick and was assumed to be more pro-ready from day 1. He has had a superior year to Allen which is as expected. So what? Allen needs to grow which again was the plan. The question really becomes, will he improve? I would say the signs are good but he might also hit a wall. We will have to find out how he can do with a better roster in 2019.
  22. Since he has now stated that he is only looking to go year to year, this becomes very clean. His numbers are good and probably the most important thing for an older player, he was still playing well at the end of the season. He played in all 16 games and compared to 2017 he had better stats in most categories (sacks, Int, passes defended, tackles for loss; almost all but forced fumbles). On the other hand time catches up quicker than you expect. So... his salary in 2018 was basically $3.1M considering bonuses. What is fair for 2019? Looking at the increased cap and weighing against his increased age, I would go in around $3M. Yes there is a risk that he hits the wall but the loss in that case is not even as bad as the risk we took on Corey Coleman. We ate $3.5M in cap and a 7th rd pick on that. So, something in the $3M range, give or take a little, seems like a no-brainer??
  23. I would entertain trade down offers. We need multiple pieces on offense, especially on the OL. However, if we can get some credible FAs then we take BPA.
  24. Also avoiding injury when we were up 25. Good work.
