I don't know...name one QB for us who outperformed him this decade. We almost made the playoffs with him, can't say that about any other QB this decade.
Not trying to pick a fight or anything but I'm honestly wondering...do you not believe the reports from Mort/Schefter that Cowher has met with the Bills? Because if he has he has already broken from his original stance of waiting until after the season.
Hopefully the contract is not so horrible we can't eat it.
Funny that this year was supposed to be an afterthought in TO's career but he'll have hit 1,000 receptions and passed Tim Brown as a Bill.
Seriously, who came up with the "stealth" thing. That headline on ESPN looks so campy.
In all seriousness though, I am approaching these rumors with cautious optimism. The one question I have is what affect does today's news have on the Nix announcement, Kelly/Thomas portion of the presser, etc.? Obviously Cowher had already met with the Bills, perhaps even twice before all of this took place.
Well since we have had two reports in as many days on coaches the Bills are talking with as well as Gaughan's report today regarding the GM, can we quiet the "they are sitting around doing nothing" crowd a bit?
True. I never really got the leverage with Shanahan thing...everyone in the world knew Dallas and Washington would be players and does Shanny really need to use Buffalo as leverage with those guys?
Congrats and let it be the first of many...and note to Dick Jauron, if at first you don't succeed drafting a star DB with a high pick try, try, try, try, try, try, try and try again.
I kind of agree that there will be no stoppage but I don't doubt right now there is the appearance that one is inevitable. I just think there is too much to lose that one side will eventually blink.
I'm thinking he could fill that role rather easily considering. Crennel? Mangini? Plenty of former (or even current) Pats guys out there. And don't forget he was a Parcells guy too so his network runs pretty deep in the right places.
Well, if he could bring in a good defensive coordinator he might not be so bad...and he would be the type of guy who would be able to bring in a good defensive coordinator (unlike Jauron, Mularkey, Williams, etc.)
The worst thing about the whole debacle was that it didn't really benefit either side, except for the ticket sales. He leaves with little effect on his value from last year and we get nothing in return.
AVP hasn't had a good year at all but it's not his fault that he was thrust into the role at the last minute. He needed more seasoning. Now he has to start back at square one.
Good point. Then when Fred gets hurt next year or we waste a high round pick on a second RB we can complain about trading Marshawn. And round and round we go....
LOL @ Beuerlein saying Atlanta is running the hurry up so we can't make substitutions...do we even have anyone left to substitute? And if so do they even belong on an NFL roster?
