  1. Not sure I understand this from a Raiders perspective. Unless they are getting Jordy much cheaper? Seems to me Crabtree was the more productive receiver last year, and seems to have the brighter future given age/mileage.
  2. Just copy the image address and paste it here...the site does the rest
  3. Would be awesome if it turned out that well! Really excited about the improvement to the D-line in FA!
  4. I think he's more an end, particularly in our 4-3 scheme. Played LB in the 3-4 (like Hughes).
  5. Didn't see this coming! With this we've really shored up the D-line, allowing us to focus on QB, LB, O-line, and possibly WR in the draft.
  6. I'll say this, there's a good chance he's either overrated or underrated, as opinions on him are definitely polarizing. Only time will tell though, as none of us really know how he'll pan out. Personally I'd feel a lot better about Rosen, Darnold, or Mayfield (in that order).
  7. If he passes a physical, without a doubt Luck. The contracts not even a consideration, if you deal for Foles he's not playing out that last year of his deal. He's demanding a number much closer to what Luck is getting.
  8. Do we have the cap room to absorb a 7.6M LB, and still have room to add a vet QB? I guess it depends on how much we paid Star, but if we had approximately $40M heading into FA and spent 10 on Star, 6 on KW, 2 on Bush, that leaves around $22M. Is that enough to get a QB, sign our picks (guess it depends on how many we ship out), and spend this big at LB? We've also got other holes to plug on the line and at receiver. Not necessarily against this move, as I like the player, just wondering out loud if it fits.
  9. Or draft one early, if we've still got the picks after the trade up...
  10. Bridgewater, AJ and McCown are all still out there. I really think we let the Jets have their pick, then low ball whoever's left between Teddy and AJ. Both really need the opportunity to play to build value for their next deal, and unless they wait for a training camp injury, we're the last spot on the QB carousal remaining.
  11. Thought this thread was looking for guys from unorthodox avenues. Had Eddie Grant ready to go. He was from Electric Avenue you know...
  12. Being last to the party, does that mean we end up with a good deal on our QB? If the Jets sign Bridgewater, does McCarron have any other options? At this point in his career he's got to get on the field to get that next big deal, and I think we may be his last remaining option.
  13. I'd love to bring him back on a small 1 or 2 yr deal, maybe $3M in total. He made some plays, but I think ideally he's your #4 at best, behind Benjamin, Jones, and whoever they bring in.
  14. Not sure he needs to get back on track, just because he doesn't have great stats. Do we know he wasn't taking on doubles regularly with Carolina? I honestly haven't watched enough game film to assess, but everyone saying he's flopped, have you? DT is a position where you can make significant impact without significant numbers. Given McBeane's history with Star, and the fact they clearly targeted him early, I trust they know and like the player.
  15. If Sal knew who they wanted, he'd say it, he gets paid to discover this stuff. He's not going to throw out clues. It's his best guess based what limited info he's got. Even if he knows they want someone to start for a year or two (which in my mind is just speculation like we've all been assuming), it doesn't necessarily mean Allen is the target. They could want a veteran option for any of these QB's so they don't have to throw him in if he's not ready.
  16. Yeah, he's not terribly mobile, but I'd like to mix in some handoffs if we get him. All jokes aside, I'm really worried about spending big on a guy who has always been a backup level player until this year. How much was him maturing? The offense around him? Luck? I think I'd prefer someone else gambling big $ on him.
  17. I hope you're right, but don't Bradford or Bridgewater make more sense to Denver, for the same reasons? I guess if they felt Keenum gives them a better chance to win now with their defense in place, but does anyone really see him as the better option?
  18. In Hyde's case it's really about opportunity, perhaps even fit within the system. He wasn't consistently starting in GB, which is a bit surprising given how ineffective their secondary was last year. I know they invested a lot in Clinton Dix, perhaps they just couldn't justify paying both. He hasn't missed any games though, at least not that I'm aware. Poyer was a FA steal. Fantastic job scouting, not sure if he was signed by Whaley or Beane, but somebody deserves some credit.
  19. 23 - 13 Bills. Defense will look great this week.
  20. I agree completely. Jerry produced year in and year out. Randy had some brain cramps, whether a patch of games or even a couple of seasons. At his best Moss was an incredible combination of size, speed, and talent.
  21. Perhaps, but Sammy has the potential to be a BIG TIME player in this league. He may never pan out, but his ceiling is much higher than Mathews.
