Interesting... Wonder why it's on two DVDs, when it's only 100 minutes... As for the comeback game -- I don't think it's the full game. EDIT: Maybe it is: http://www.amazon.com/NFL-Game-Archives-Bu...0352&sr=8-6

Who is your favorite BILLS backup QB of all time?
Fezmid replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For me, it's Gale Gilbert, only player in NFL history to appear in 5 straight Super Bowls. Seriously though, I did enjoy watching him -- he always looked great in preseason, and looked decent in the few games he played in. Wish he would've had more real playing time in the NFL instead of being 3rd string for years. -
Interesting... Not sure how they'll stop the polutants (pollen, dust, etc) from coming in though... And why pick WNY? It doesn't get that cold... Move up to Duluth or Embarass, MN and it'd be much colder for much longer... Hope it works out for WNY though!

Hey you IT nerds, the Redskins are hiring...

But Snyder overpays for everything.... Plus, you could sabatage the team before they play the Bills... "Ooops, not sure what happened to all of the game footage of the Bills... Guess we're practicing blind this week. " -

I don't think the cold air had anything to do with it. It's not like you open up the DC doors in winter to cool everything down - you still use the AC units. Regardless, that's potentially good news for WNY!

I have one of the first models from ~8 years ago. It worked great in the beginning - picked up cat fur and other debris. Got into the corners pretty well too. After about 6 months, it stopped working as well. I took it apart, cleaned it out, and it worked better, but was never as good as the beginning. After a year or so, we stopped using it because it was a hassle to empty the bucket, recharge it, set up the "virtual walls," etc. I know they've had many improvements since then (for example, it'll return to the base station to recharge when done or when needing a charge). Not sure how many models there are nowadays, but assuming that they only got better over the past decade, I could recommend one. You'll probably still need a real vacuum to use once every month or two (to do the deep cleaning), but for general day to day cleaning, it works pretty well.

LAMP: Defending my PhD dissertation on thursday

Good luck!!! -
I play on Sportsbook, which is publically traded on the London stock exchange. Plus, I play such low stakes that it wouldn't be worth anyone's time to cheat on. Placing 2nd in the game I lost in netted me $20 instead of $30 (as an example). I heard Absolute was one of the sites listed -- do you remember the 2nd site they talked about?

He couldn't believe it either, but didn't say much -- I'm sure he didn't want to piss me off even more lol (it was online).

There may be many infections that "amount to about two entries," but you have no guarantee that there isn't some other form of malware still on the box that your detector simply isn't finding. A/V/Spyware scanners look for known signatures -- so if it's something very new or something that nobody's seen before (ie: a one-off backdoor), then you may think you're safe but you're not. If you installed from scratch and found 16 infections, then you are using a pirated version of the OS. Installing from an original CD will *never* show 16 infections. Either that or you installed the machine on the network without a firewall (or NAT) and were infected before you had a chance to apply all of the patches. There's no other explanation for a clean install having any infections, let alone 16 of them. You can call it bulls#it if you want, and I know most people find it "scary" to reinstall, but it the right answer. Ask yourself this question -- if a server at your local bank had an infection, would you rather they run some spyware removing software to clean it up, or would you rather them reinstall the OS?

I have the king of all bad-beat stories. I was playing a 10 man tourney. Made it to the final two. I had a good hand, lured the guy to go all in, and crushed him -- victory is mine! Or so I thought.... Turns out that he still had 10 chips left. I had 9990. Blinds were 400/800, so no big deal - he has to go all-in every hand and I'll win. He wins the next hand. 9980-20. He wins the next hand. 9960-40. Hmm, some luck, no big deal. He wins the next hand, 9920-80. He wins the next hand, 9840-160 WTF is going on here, what are the odds of this? He wins the next hand, 9680-320 He wins the next hand, 9360-640 He wins the next hand, 8720-1280. Now I'm going ballistic and going all-in out of anger. He keeps winning. A few hands later and he beat me....

And if it does detect something, even if it says that it "fixed" it, your computer should no longer be trusted and you should reinstall. (see a theme...? )

Like I said, sounds like Malware intercepting some of your requests. I wouldn't trust the PC until you rebuild it.

Haven't you heard? He's a new player in Toronto! http://www.radarfarms.com/?page_id=30&...=784&view=1 I think he's going to lead us to the Superbowl this year!

CBS Sportsline blurb on Whitner, Scott and Byrd

I wish I had said that! http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?s=&am...t&p=1464128 -
Because that sort of issue sounds like malware is breaking something and the only real way to clear malware is a reinstall. Yup -- but it shouldn't be a big deal because you DO have backups of all of your data, right...? Reinstalling applications is easy, it's the data that's important. I'll throw a plug for Windows Home Server as well (yeah, I know - me recommending an MS product?!) It sits on your network and automatically backs up your PCs. If you lose a drive (or want o reinstall), just pop in the recovery DVD (which boots enough for the PC to find the server), wait 20 minutes, and your OS is rebuilt to the date of the backup. I make a master backup after the first install so I can always go back quickly. There are WHS appliances by HP and Asus as well if you don't want to bother installing the server yourself.

Like I said, Loki made it to the final two... But lost out to Buzzy (mainly because a friend of mine uses Loki as his online name, and I didn't want him thinking the dog was named after him )

Melanie Oudin in the final 16 at Wimbledon
Fezmid replied to Fezmid's topic in Off the Wall Archives
They did a studio interview with her this afternoon and she was actually very well spoken and grounded. She was smiling ear to ear the whole time, but I was impressed. I probably just spend too much time listening to NFL players try to talk though -
Big news for American tennis -- 17 year old Melanie Oudin beat the #6 player (former #1). http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/tennis/wi...tory?id=4291503

CBS Sportsline blurb on Whitner, Scott and Byrd
Fezmid replied to Whites Bay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whitner was on Total Access last night and said he was going to be playing FS this season. Didn't hear anything about what the original post is talking about. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=90993 -
That's an application issue, not a network issue. Reintsall your OS.

Our two cats both respond to their name. We've tested it - make a similar noise, nothing. Call them by name and they come. Of course htey haven't left the 2nd floor much since we got the dog... Hopefully they acclimate to each other. One of our cats even acts like a dog -- plays fetch, follows me around from when I wake up to when I go to sleep (now only the 2nd floor though, like I said). We'll have to see how that works out I guess...

Well we finally named him before our vet visit! We decided to go with Buzzy! We really wanted to use Diogi, but it just doesn't flow off the tongue. Plus, he never responded a single time to that name. He seemed to like Loki and Buzzy equally well, so we decided to go with Buzzy. Just got back from the vet and he has a clean bill of health (after he loses 2 pounds to get down to 20).
