Not late -- we're still in the discovery phase. Can you ask your sister what brand it was? Everything I've read says that the black sinks leave residue so that it's hard to keep clean. Might look at a white or offwhite instead.

I'm usually all over this, but forgot to hype it at work this year... Remember, we can see where you're browsing at work, can read your emails (and send email out that looks like it really came from you...), can block where you're allowed to go on the network and can generally make your life a living hell. Not that we'd ever do anything like that... http://www.theregister.co.uk/odds/bofh/

Want the pandemic (don't call me swine) flu vaccine?
Fezmid replied to Beerball's topic in Off the Wall Archives
You're being paranoid: EDIT: Oh, misread your post... Let me see if I can find renal issues instead Ok, after doing more research - lots of links say that if you have kidney problems, the flu will do major harm/death to you. About all I could find doing a quick search. -
I remember the 77 second game.. My mom was offered 50 yard line tickets from her boss, and she turned them down... I was upset -- I would've gone with her boss by myself if she didn't want to go! -- and was more upset that I missed seeing history in person. Oh well...

Yeah, I've read about that issue so am going to try convincing my wife to leave the vinyl in the kitchen or, if she insists on an upgrade, to put some sort of tile down. Wish me luck

Again - just like the regular flu. http://www.pamf.org/flu/preg.html -
How true.. And my wife wants to put hardwood floors in too... Actually, she wanted laminate. From what I've read, I think I'd prefer an engineered hardwood. She also wants a new dining room table. She's trying to end the recession... I've never been in a house with hardwood, so I'm not sure how it's going to sound/look/feel. Our neighbor just put it in a couple of years ago, so I should go visit their place and see.

Might be moving to Florida...suggestions please
Fezmid replied to udonkey's topic in Off the Wall Archives
But there are huge bugs in Florida... While 50% is nice, the bugs would make me reconsider! http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/9499/spidley002id4.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j292/Ill...edhillinBra.jpg Sorry I have no good advice -- other than if you moved near Miami, you could go see the Bills squish the fish every year....? -

Florida? Ick. My suggestion is to skip the promotion. -
How'd your kitchen remodel go? Glad you went with the black granite sink? We're getting ready to start putting the wheels in motion to get it done ourselves now... I was hoping she'd forget and I could keep the cash in the bank. No such luck.

I use Sportsbook and have for years. I really like them. What's funny is that I withdrew all of my money in '08, a couple of months before my birthday. My Bday comes around and they send me an email that I'm getting a birthday gift -- twice my age in free cash in my account! Sweet! I've since taken that $68 and turned it into $200, so I've been playing with house money for over a year. I'm not a big stakes guy, but the $1-$10 games (either tournament or sit and go) are fun. The cash tables are good too, but I haven't played one in a couple of years. If you decide to sign up, let me know and I'll check if there's any referal credits available for either of us (unless the other person who told you about it is going to).

You can expect that it will feel exactly like the regular flu... -

One death is a tragedy, 36,000 deaths is a statistic. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2240054/posts Minnesota doesn't even test for the swine flu (although I found a couple of articles from April that say they're "supposed to."). One of my wife's coworkers had the swine flu, and they didn't test for it until a few days after the fact. When it was confirmed, the treatment was the same - drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of orest. Just like the flu that kills 36,000/year. CW -

This "swine flu" thing is so overhyped. -

Not really - his lawyers can just file suit on his behalf. -

Does this mean that people who post about Ralph being cheap, not caring about winning, etc, etc, can be sued too...? -
There were lots of questions about McKinnie -- and he hasn't lived up to his potential either, just ask a Vikings fan. In my mind, he lost interest in football when his grandmother passed away, and you can't fault someone for putting family first.

They're going to sue you for implying that they have emotional issues. -

Wow... Not sure which is worse, the fact that they're filed suit, or their "sue first, ask questions later" quote. -
I'm not going to quote anything from the article for fear of TSW being sued... http://techdirt.com/articles/20090728/0347535682.shtml

What ObamaCare might mean for you

It's not required in Wisconsin or New Hampshire. -
http://yro.slashdot.org/story/09/07/27/221...of-File-Sharing "[T]he music industry is growing increasingly diverse as music fans enjoy a wide range of platforms to hear and consume music. Sales of recorded music fell 6% for example, digital was up 50% while physical dropped 10%, but concert ticket sales grew by 13%. In terms of what consumers spent on music as a whole last year, this surprisingly grew by 3%."

I've been using Media Monkey ( http://www.mediamonkey.com ) to organize my MP3 collection for awhile now. It's pretty nice as it lets you search on anything -- genre, release date, name, etc, etc, etc. Then I started thinking about how ineffective my photo collection is. I take hundreds of pictures, and the best organization I have is putting them into a folder based on the year and the event (ie: 2008, Christmas). What I'd like to be able to do is tag the photos using IPTC so that I can search for "All Christmas photos with my grandmother in them" (for example). My main requirement is that it has to be generic enough that I'm not tied to a specific tool (thus the IPTC request). I don't like tools that make a separate database because then you can't use a better one down the road. I've heard that Adobe Bridge might be good - but I don't have Photoshop or anything like that, and I'm not keen on spending a fortune. I have Paint Shop Pro X2 and, while it looks like it has a similar feature, it seems pretty clunky when I tried to use it. I also tried Picasa and that seemed to have some issues as well. Does anyone else do anything like this?
