I hope you have a backup of all of your files like I preach all the time. If so, reinstall the OS. If not, buy a new harddrive, reinstall the OS, put the second drive as a slave, and copy off your files before reformatting it. Others will say, "Use program X," or "Run program Y." But there's no guarantee that it cleans everything up - the only way to be sure is to reinstall.

Ok, this seems like a great alternative to Directv

That's not true at all. Time Warner doesn't have NFL Network, for example. And DirecTV has, by far, more regular HD channels than any cable company I've ever seen. Not to mention the customer service is much better than my experiences with cable. Plus, it has better hardware/software than most cable companies I've seen. With my HD DVR, I can add a larger hard drive to increase my recording time -- can't do that with cable. Can you stream shows you have recorded on your DVR onto a PC in your house? DirecTV has that functionality. Can you tell your DVR to record something from your cell phone? DirecTV has way more than just Sunday TIcket going for it -- although I will agree that the service is their crown jewel. That's not all they have though. -
You been hanging out with Fred Jackson?
-
They were both taken. Ironically, I got Steven Jackson for only $20 -- and Pierre Thomas went for $19. So I think I did well there. Mendenhall went for $6. It was a $100 salary cap to fill 14 positions.

Oh yeah, you're right. https://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/sports/nfl_superfan -
Well, here's my team. I think I might be a little light on RB (hopefully Fred Jackson's thumb isn't a problem...), but overall I think it's a decent squad. The only thing I think I did wrong was buying two QBs too early -- I should've let Kurt Warner go to the other team and kept that money for a better HB. Oh well, live and learn. It's a 12 man league, 1 QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF. Rivers, Philip SDC QB Jackson, Steven STL RB Moreno, Knowshon DEN RB White, Roddy ATL WR Colston, Marques NOS WR Gonzalez, Tony ATL TE Lindell, Rian BUF PK Patriots, New England NEP Def <--- Should be worth about 50 points in week 1. Warner, Kurt ARI QB Owens, Terrell BUF WR Bush, Reggie NOS RB Parker, Willie PIT RB Ginn Jr., Ted MIA WR Jackson, Fred BUF RB

Hooking a computer to the TV isn't always feasible - it's not in my case, since my PC weighs about 50 pounds If you wanted to save even more money, you could just watch NFL Network during the week -- I believe they're still doing the "Short cuts," where they cut the games down to 30 minutes by removing huddles and commercials? -
Versus isn't on the sports pack... I get it, and I don't buy the sports pack. http://www.multichannel.com/article/328143...Drop_Versus.php I really think it's lame that Comcast can own the distribution AND so many networks, but hey.

It's only $150 this year if you call... But that's still $110 more. Does watching it on the TV in real-time (potentially) outweigh that $100? For me it does, but for others this looks like a pretty cool idea. I won't take this too off-topic, but the FCC says you can have a dish, regardless of what your landlord says. It's really easy if you have a patio - put it in a bucket of cement and you're done. Federal law trumps local law trumps landlord lease. -
I did get everything back but the $3.87. Still sucks, but better than I expected.

random thoughts from my night at Lambeau
Fezmid replied to Robert Paulson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For regular season games, there's tailgating EVERYWHERE -- not just in the main parking lot, but also in various parking lots of restaurants and bars in the area. It was like -40F windchills when I went, and we were tailgating a few blocks away in a parking lot. -
Unusual Explanations for the Obesity Epidemic
Fezmid replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Who said it's a political thing? I'm most definitely not a liberal -- yet I acknowledge that there are physiological issues that cause people to eat/drink/etc. I've never said that the individual is not partially at fault (unlike people like you who say it is 100% the individual's fault), but to say that being overweight is just a case of being "lazy" is ridiculous, just like saying someone who drinks all the time is being lazy. -
Packers fans are pretty cool. My father-in-law bought me tickets for the Bills/Packers game a few years back (the REALLY REALLY cold game with a final of 7-3 or something like that). Everyone around me was cool, asking questions about the team, etc, etc. I celebrated loudly when we took the lead, and they were good natured about. Hope you enjoyed yourself!!!

So black people and rednecks shop at the store. Got it. I knew there was a reason I DVR everything and rarely watch commercials... EDIT: I don't think I could ever live in NC.... "Did you get a DWI? Well we got SCOOTERS!"

Well, at least I'm not the only one on this side of the fence... -
Depending on what shows you want to watch, why not just go to cbs.com, abc.com, fox.com, etc? They have a lot of their shows available to stream during the season. Or get Netflix and stream with that?

Unusual Explanations for the Obesity Epidemic
Fezmid replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in Off the Wall Archives
If you keep yourself away from food, you die... Plus, there's a link between depression and obesity. So if you think depression is a disease, and one result of depression is overeating, how can SOME obesity cases not be considered a result of a disease? I can't believe we're on page 12, and you still refuse to admit that there may be more to it than "willpower" and "laziness." -

Wow.... So why is depression allowed to be a disease, but obesity and alcoholism are not? -

So you really don't think depression is a disease either...? -

You seem to be 100% conjecture and 0% fact. Chef says: "Fat = lazy, drinking = willpower. It works for me, so it's 100% true. End of discussion." -
