  1. If you stare long and hard enough at his comments, it just might materialize.
  2. McKinney is a veteran. Regardless of being on another team, it is a certainty he will get the starting nod in OTAs over a rookie. Why not just wait til the season starts and the starters are named before complaining about it?
  3. Lost my wife to it, so I feel your pain. As my wife said to me before she passed, "my suffering will end soon, but unfortunately yours will continue for the rest of your life". She couldnt be more right. My thoughts go out to you and all who have lost a loved one to this terrible disease. I know there will be a day when we will finally conquer it.
  4. Yeah, that was a really weird film, but entertaining none the less. RIP Cain.
  5. Actually, that was in Moorestown NJ, where I believe he still has his main residence.
  6. yay, another JP thread.
  7. I was pretty high on him earlier in the year, though I dont know how he did on the college all star game (I think he was supposed to play in the East West Shrine, not sure). I posted an article that had a pretty interesting write up on him. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=80927 Worth a look as an UDFA, imo.
  8. It is about the arms. The taller you are, the longer your arms would be, normally. For a DE, it is important to be able to get inside of an O lineman's chest and push off, or "punch". Having long arms would typically allow you to get inside and gain that leverage and push the lineman into a particular direction, then make either an inside or outside move, counter to where the lineman was pushed. This was something I had heard some analysts discuss on TV some time ago, NFL Network maybe. I hope I recalled and explained it correctly.
  9. Funny story. I wonder if he's going to ask for another trade?
  10. Problem is, while Pettigrew may be good at blocking, he is still a rookie, and to rely on a rookie for help with another potential rookie LT or at best weaker vet LT, may not be an ideal situation. I think the FO must make every reasonable effort to keep (and extend) Peters. Why remove a strength to create a weakness?
  11. This may all be a matter of semantics, and I dont wish to harp on it. But as far as him being a fan, he states it on his profile, so I have to view it as if any of us posted it on a blog. As far as positive proof, you certainly did not state that, true, but by saying "If the deal with Waters breaks down and we don't address our need at Guard during the draft, I think this would be the logical decision.", well that is implying that there has been a publicized/official/known/whatever deal in the works, rather than what one guy had speculated. Again, not looking to get in a pissing match, just bringing to light why some may find this confusing, imo.
  12. I think the point is that an article by a blogger (who happens to be a fan) that was dated a month ago, claiming info from sources, constitutes positive proof that the Bills are involved in trade talks? Not saying this isnt the case, but was this reported in any other outlet?
  13. But before Dick gets Wood, he's gotta get Peters straightened out first!
  14. We should have drafted Flutie #1 instead of that out of shape DE from Virgina Tech, whats his name. Guess we'll never know what wonders Doug could do in Buffalo.
  15. Maybe he was the one who got stuck "holding" their table.
  16. While Allaire did study under Jones, that does not necessarily make him as good as Jones. The past couple of years have seen a large number of Bills wind up on IR or long stays on the disabled list. While injuries occur naturally from the nature of the sport, some of them seem related to poor conditioning (e.g., hamstring pulls, muscle strains, groins, etc).
  17. Didnt see it posted yet, nice piece: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/stor...&id=3976473
  18. Well its about time Ralph started adding REAL football people to his "inner circle" of football people.
  19. They do have some other FAs they need to pay big bucks to on the D side (Suggs and Scott IIRC), maybe some others, so it may not be a given that they can match any BIG offers. Then again, we're talikng the Bills here.
  20. Mike Reilly of Central Washington. Div II but still an interesting prospect in the mid rounds. Lots of talent and character: http://www.tri-cityherald.com/1358/story/349339.html But we should still get a vet QB regardless and open up the position for competition. JMO.
  21. Get a vet like Leftwich and draft a mid to late round to develop if Edwards is damaged goods. Mike Reilly of Central Washington can be had in the 4th or 5th, he's my pick.
  22. All the more reason DJ should have been jettisoned. Especially after Ralph himself said the team lacked talent!
  23. He shouldnt have had another season to turn it around, but thats a moot point now. in any event, I dont feel that in 2010, the Bills will fit into that "perfect situation" that Shanahan will be looking for, considering the uncertainty of Ralph's longevity, which is tied to ownership of the team, as well as the location of the team potentially up in the air after Ralph passes.
  24. “I’m Ko Simpson with the Buffalo Bills. I am worth millions!” Sure Ko, sure!
