  1. How old are you? Of course there was. I grew up in Dallas as a Cowboys fan. We had Don Meredith with Craig Morton riding the pine behind him (Marv says in his book Craig was the best athlete he ever coached and led Denver to SB XIII). Then after Don retired we got Roger Staubach who rode the pine behind Craig for a few years. Then when we traded Craig we got Danny White who rode the pine behind Roger for 4 or 5 years. All of these guys were top prospects and none of them started out of the chute.
  2. Not sure how doable this is in today's NFL. You sign a drafted QB for 4 or 5 years. By the time he sits 2 or 3 years and has some growing pains his contract is up. Think Brock Oswieler. Broncos developed him and then couldn't afford him. Similar thing with Hotrod in Baltimore. Hopefully it's us. But don't wait til the 5th or he very well could be long gone. We don't want to get Russell Wilsoned again Alex Smith no +s. WTF? NFL Europe was able to develop SB winning QBs. Kurt Warner and Brad Johnson. I also think the rules should be changed a little so it's not so much dependent on passing and having a great QB. Let the DBs bump and make contact until the football is in the air. Let OL hold on running plays.
  3. Evidently not.
  4. Let's not forget about McKinley.
  5. I'm heartbroken. Keith was a monster musician and composer. I remember when I first heard him. AI was on my high school CC team and we went on a road trip. One of my team mate's Uncle was driving and he put in a tape of Trilogy. I was blown away and an immediate fan. Never saw him live sadly. A few years ago I bought his album, Keith Emerson Band which is awesome. If you haven't heard it, check it out. Also has my old school mate Greg Bisonette on drums. Always makes me a little sadder when someone punches their own ticket. Sad day in greater rockdom
  6. From cbssports: "Prescott was pulled over by Starkville Police in his white 2016 Cadillac Escalade and charged with DUI during the stop." Where does a college student athlete get the Benjamins to buy a Cadillac?
  7. You make some good points. However, Bernie is running as a Democrat because he knows he has ZERO chance of even being noticed as an Independent. How many Independents are in Congress besides Bernie? How many governors? How many Independant presidents have we had? Why wasn't Gary Johnson allowed to be in the 2012 Presidential Debates? The fact that political parties appear to be losing some control this presidential cycle in no way means that Democrats and Republicans don't continue to have a strangle hold on the election process and government.
  8. My point is that, while what happened in Chicago is a dirty trick, this is the Bigs. Both Democrats and Republicana do this kind of stuff and I pointed out a Republican example. Power corrupts, and these people (Democrats and Republicans) are in the power business.
  9. Just like the "protests" in Florida after the 2000 election. "LET US IN! LET US IN! LET US IN!". Both sides do it. I swear some of yall act like this is your first rodeo.
  10. Tammy knows best. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=912DKxD0H1U
  11. Is this a question? If so I'll take a shot at it. Trump is about 6,000,000 Jews short of being able to fit in those shoes. Trump may have small hands, but compared to Hitler, his feet are even smaller.
  12. They're not running as independents though. They're running as Ds and Rs. Otherwise they have to buy a ticket to Get in.
  13. I'm good with that and have been for quite some time.
  14. Tell that to Aaron Rodgers.
  15. This is an incredibly homophobic comment.
  16. By this definition, so is W and RayGun.
  17. Actually, I got an A. I think you have the premise of the book wrong. It's not vote to get free ****, it's vote to stop giving advantages to people who can buy politicians and can get law passed to benefit them. People in Kansas (and elsewhere) vote for the trickle down types, yet the jobs never show up, yet they keep voting that way. Pretty much what Morning Joe said. Did you read the book?
  18. I was in the military during the Ford/Carter presidencies. We didn't have any diversity training. And women were viewed and treated as weaker. In my training, we had to pull fire watches at night. When the women had to do it they got the next morning off while us men, did not.
  19. I read this book a few years ago. I highly recommend it. As a college Junior in Economics 101 in an Economics department led by Dick Armey I bought in to the whole trickle down thing. Sounds great on paper. After observing econimics in action for the last 30+ years I've determined it to be BS. When a rich persons gets a windfall, the LAST thing they wanna do is hire someone. So the schmucks never get a piece of it. When a poor or middle class person gets a windfall, they spend it which stimulates the economy. So my theory is trickle up Economics would work a lot better. People spending more creates new demand creating new jobs, Not the other way around.
  20. No it didn't. It fell like a demolition at 5:25 PM
  21. I don't know much about this guy but he really stunk it up in the NFLPA College All Star Game. Yet when they put Vernon Adams Jr. In, the offense rolled AND scored points due to Vernon's play. This was not the only time other QBs on his team couldn't produce, yet he did heavily IN THE SAME GAME. Not scientific I know, but if we want a later around project, Vernon's my guy.
