Top five qb in Bills history
reddogblitz replied to Chadwick Bay Chad's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Father knows best. Fellow Hiesman winner Roger Staubach used to do this too. Drove us nuts sometimes. The thing I remember about Flutie was winning. And the Defense was unable to win very many games with Rob Johnson in. -

If the Bills beat 'em, obviously they played like crap. Duh. -

Looks like the team is coached to not fight or fall into other teams shenanigans. Taems do this because everyone knows the guy that swings back gets the flag. We received many flags like this during the Rex era because guys were undiscilpined. Just beat ,'em on the scoreboard on Christmas Eve knocking them out of home field throughout in thier house to get even. This ain't hockey. -
Amen. You gotta give them three or four years of quality play to say they are good or not. Just a few years ago these same experts told us Robert Griffin and Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson will revolutionize the QB position in the NFL due to their success. Only 1 of the the 3 is still in the NFL. QB position has not been revolutionized. And they all made the playoffs (AFC Championship for Plummer). Maybe we just need get a JAG QB and surround him with better OLIne, WRs, run game, and D? So what's changed? 5 Ints and 1 TD in 39 passes with 48.7 comp %?

"Not a chance." - Rodak on Coaching Change

Agreed. Usually a coach doesn't go firing coordinators until they are on the hot seat. -
I hope he starts too. Just win. Here's my minority take: the best thing for this team going forward is to win. We're trying to build a winning team. You don't do that by losing. I want to see Coach McDermott do what our previous 6 coaches have not been able to do. Finish strong down the stretch. Even if Nasty Nate were to start the rest of the games we wouldn't know if he is "the guy" of not. He'll do some good and some more bad. He'll be a possible maybe. Just win.

Why didn't the Bills lose as EXPECTED in 2017?

Unless you're the Bills, then, it's because you Suck and didn't deserve to win. I've never heard a Steelers fan that said the we're lucky on the "Immaculate Reception" and deserved to lose. In fact, it's known as a great play by the Steelers. They also don't say they were lucky because Jackie Smith dropped a sure TD pass in one of their SB wins. Or, a Giants fan say they got lucky by Norwood missing FG on last play. -

I love how when our guys get turn overs it's because of luck. I didn't expect 4 wins. Those that did are BBFS sufferers probably. We were 7-9 with a train wreck for a staff. I expected better this year and we may get it. This speaks to a coach being able to get his players to play hard, smart, and well most of the time. That's a good thing. -

In Dallas it was called a "Cowboy Antenna". -

I can't remember the exact game/opponent, but it was around 1963 or 1964. The Cowboys had a deal where you could sit in the end zone for $1 at the Cotton bowl. So I saved up my money several times and went with Aunts/Uncles/Grandfather. One game I remember in particular was my Aunt was a big fan Hall of Famer running back/defensive back Mel Renfro. But then Mel got hurt in the game running the football. He never played RB after that. First Bills game was in probably 1995 or 1996 against the Jaguars. I remember in that game, I think it was the Attica HS Band, came out on the field and got in their formation for half time. It was really cold. But there was some injured player on the field. So they had to wait. By the time they hauled the player off, half time was over and they had to go back their seats. Bummer. -

I'm with Yolo on this one. The players didn't get to see the replays like us. I'm gonna step out on a limb here, but I suspect the guys rushing the passer didn't see the hit. Agreed. But if he does something dumb, I'm going to call him out on it anyway which is my constitutional right as a Bills fan But yeah, firing him now would be dumb. -

Mr. Big Stuff was one of my favorite guys, but the middle of our D line DID turn into a marshmallow and Jacksonville's DID get better. So maybe it wasn't just "whining" as you call it, but a valid criticism? But I see how you are. Don't say anything bad about Saint Sean the Infallible. -

No. You said Dareus, now you're switching to Sammy? Just a different kind of whining ... -

Of course the fact that once Mr. Big Stuff left and we got our 6th round draft pick the middle of our defensive line turned into a marshmallow and Jacksonville's run D immediately improved had nothing to do with it.
